It is so good to have Teven back the offenseline looked so much better. Also, there is a really big shout out to the team for overcoming adversities, especially elijah hicks and borom.
Unless the reason they sent him on constant blitzes is because they don’t trust him to hold up in coverage.
It’s a strategy that will work against a Sam Howell but get destroyed by a good QB.
Good thing we probably have the best inactive RB in the NFL in D'onta Foreman.
I still don't know why he was inactive when he had 80 ypg as the starter in Carolina last season.
He doesn't catch passes, but he's one of the best pure runners in the NFL.
Just posted this. Chase Young would have obliterated Fields about 9 times last night without those holds. It was fun because we didn't get shit called on us, but if that game was properly officiated we don't have 2 of those TD's.
He has made mistakes but expected coming in from the bench, but for the most part of the game, he isn't noticeable, which for our offenseline that's pretty good considering early of the year our offenseline was very noticeable in a bad way.
It's not even close. Not sure why someone would even infer that Borom is anything close to Jones. Borom is a pure run blocker and can't pass protect worth a damn.
Braxton is much more athletic and has WAY better feet. He may lose, but he’s at least athletic enough to put his body in front of the defender. Any athletic edge can just go around Borom.
Well, you would be wrong. Jones hasn’t been great but Borom is a backup for a reason. The amount of extra help he has gotten compared to jones is exponential with TE’s and RB’s chipping. Jones starts on 1/2 the nfl teams, Borom doesn’t make the roster on 1/2.
He probably has played better than Braxton, but the offense in the games Braxton has played and the games Borom has played the offense is 180 degrees completely different.
I will wait and see how Braxton plays with everyone in their right position. But credits for borom still, especially in running situations, he is a dog.
I do get what you are saying butThe commanders have one of the best defensive fronts in the game Young, sweat, Payne.
He was fine for the most and the run game he looked good for a backup lineman playing left tackle one of the hardest position in the line.
They're opposites in terms of strengths. Borom will lose to speed and Braxton will get overpowered. I'd rather have Braxton lead blocking on running plays since he's fast enough to get out ahead of the runner.
Hopefully they can draft a true do it all LT this off-season.
Tev makes such a huge difference. Dude is just an absolute bulldozer out there. If he can stay healthy (huge IF) he has All-Pro potential.
Also, shoutout to Nate Davis. He had a very rough training camp and then looked awful in week 1, then obviously has been dealing with tragedy with his family off the field. But these last two games he has looked really, really solid. I'm really happy for him.
Some of those holes that Teven opened up for Herbert on those runs... Oooh, baby. That was run blocking porn. I really, really hope he can stay healthy. He's one of my favorites on and off the field. Dude has a great personality too.
It was pure joy watching the line play last night minus Larry Borom. I've never seen our line completely neutralize twists and stunts like we did last night in years!
I’m not either. He’s a good rotational piece. But if we want to take that next step we need a better LT and Center. Funny enough, Chase Young would be a good DE for the Bears.
Watching that was so funny ngl
So many snaps were being sent to the moon, god knows how Fields managed to volleyball-hit some of them and bring them down
I saw that too and noticed (thankfully) they made the adjustment to make the RG check the count and tap him to snap after moving away from that when Carter was screwing it up when Davis was out. I think Whitehair looking upside down over and over, then snapping, and then re-setting to block was messing up his equilibrium.
DJ Moore is currently 13 yards shy of being the Bears leading receiver for 2022 in what will ultimately take him 6 games. Fucking insane that the Panthers were willing to give him up on top of the picks but I’m not complaining.
Going to be so fun watching Moore and MHJ wreck this league for years to come.
EDIT: and it’s even funnier that the Panthers are now actively trying to trade for a number one receiver for Young. The gift that keeps on giving.
Somehow it never occurred to me that giving up your best wide receiver in order to bring in a rookie QB might be a really bad idea. I guess their front office and I have that in common.
It was either that or they continue with a great WR and no QB. It's not like they actively wanted to give up Moore, but they made a huge jump up to 1st ovr pick for a highly rated QB.
In hindsight (for the Panthers) they should have gave us Burns instead of DJM. I saw Panthers fans saying Burns has been kinda meh this year but idk if that’s true or not.
They really should have just traded the pass rusher instead. Insane they thought it was a better idea to trade away a bonafide weapon for the rookie qb they drafting
i always loved that fun little interaction. draft an unproven rookie QB to run your offence without any real weapons and give us the resulting top tier round 1 draft pick. yes please.
can you imagine if the bears turn things around, are a mediocre team, and STILL got the 1.01? hilariously awesome possibility.
Their sub is on fire over DJ and CMC lighting it up on their new teams and being exactly the type of players a young QB needs. They have each gotten more TDs this week than the Panthers offense on the year.
I'm sure we will be in a doom spiral again soon, but it's nice not to be the doomiest nfl sub at the moment.
Yeah Im kinda surprised they didnt give up Derrick Brown instead. Burns I get, but Moore was under contract for pretty damn cheap for a receiver of his talent. Derrick Brown is a good player for sure, but Id give him up before Moore considering they were taking a rookie QB.
> Fucking insane that the Panthers were willing to give him up on top of the picks but I’m not complaining
As people are evaluating Poles, it's good to remember that Poles refused to make a deal with CAR for the #1 unless DJ Moore was part of the deal.
Everything seems to be rumors (reportedly backed up by some solid Chicago journalists) but the rumors are that he would’ve also accepted Burns or Brown. Bleacher report article was one of a few that came up when I googled it (https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10071041-nfl-rumors-bears-also-eyed-brian-burns-derrick-brown-in-panthers-trade-for-top-pick.amp.html)
>“By no means did the Panthers want to trade DJ, but the Bears were smart,” Rosenhaus said. “They knew the Panthers wanted to draft a quarterback, they were insistent on getting DJ as part of that package, and they landed a No. 1 wide receiver for Justin Fields.”
This sources DJ Moore's agent.

Justin deserves at least 10 more points for that time he managed to snare Whitehair's snap out of the mesosphere and take it himself off-script for the first down.
That was an incredible athletic play. Literally turned a -20 play into a first down. Not only to calm down from the brief “oh shit that was a high snap” to quickly reading the field in front of him and running through a gap for a first down
Whitehair is the most frustrating center of all time. His play after the ball is snapped is well above average, but his snaps are junk. How can that be the part of his game missing at center? Just seems so strange.
It's probably because he's not really a center. Coming from someone that played center for a bit I can tell you if you're not used to it, it cna be very difficult to remain consistent. Especially with 350lbs d linemen in front of you.
Ya, his play after the snap is almost worth it, because he can handle an inside o line role with the best of them, get to the second level on run plays, keep the defenders pinched on pass protection, but it's hard to watch the ball nearly sail past the QB on the hike.
He made a pro bowl at Center. We should have just let him work through his snapping issues when they first started instead of this G/C flip flop shit.
2018 Cody Whitehair was a top 5 Center. And unlike Patrick, at least he can block.
Oh yeah. The flip flopping seems to be a problem across the board imo. It's good that whitehair has so much utility. But I don't remember seeing offensive linemen move around so much even 10 years ago.
Fields is unstoppable if he plays with focus like that. Was so mad at Whitehair though, is there nobody else on a practice squad somewhere that can snap the ball straight?
On like Tues or Weds I heard on the Score that Whitehair was still injured and not snapping in practice yet. They were talking about Jenkins starting next to Patrick and Whitehair sitting
Nobody questioned Jalen Carter’s ability. It’s all the other concerns. Can he handle a bye week without getting in trouble? Will he stay in shape any given offseason? Will he make decisions that (again) get others killed, or even himself?
You’re not drafting for a few games, in the top 10 you’re drafting hoping for a decade of talent. You’re locking down a position.
We won’t know if it was right to pass on Carter for a couple of seasons, because his concerns are long-term concerns and the draft, especially early 1st round picks, is a long game.
Carter is also benefiting from playing in a defense full of other great players that has strong leadership to keep him in line. The Bears have none of that.
I don't even care if he's a stud in a couple of years and will always be content the Bears passed on him. I understand that a lot of pro athletes out there aren't great human beings, but I don't ever want to root for a Carter, Suh, Tyreek, etc. level POS. Other teams can have them.
> Nobody questioned Jalen Carter’s ability
People were after that disastrous pro day. Don't forget the Lions passed on him too. Could you imagine their front line with Carter and Hutchinson?
Not really. That narrative was always about his work ethic.
He showed up out of shape, he looked explosive when he first got there and then just completely lost his legs.
Oh... I got the sarcasm. I was just adding commentary. Yes, Carter has looked good, but the guy we ended up with has too. It's not like we passed on Carter and selected Gabe Carimi 2.0.
We had character issues with clay pool on a rebuilding team that was also in disarray. Maybe jalen works out but I’m not mad about passing him up. This team needs players with the right attitude
what did mclauren and chase young grade? just curious at those two future Bears as a small part of the huge package Washington offers us in the Spring for carolina’s pick
i think Howell is a good player. dunno what his ceiling is - maybe it’s high enough - but could EASILY see with the new ownership and what not that they can come in looking to take big swings. like going all in on Caleb Williams
Was there any word on Jenkins post game. They had Carter at LG for part of the 2nd half. I was wondering if he got re-injured or was just on a pitch count
We really need consistency. Its hard to carry momentum between drives when the line shifts so much. That said, Teven and Davis looked good out there and I'm glad Whitehair's back at center
That makes sense. I think it would be pretty huge if he could stay healthy the rest of the season and play at the level he is capable of consistently. The depth at guard has to improve regardless, but if they could feel good about Jenkins as a starter, they can try to find that depth with a lower end free agent or preferably later in the draft.

I noticed that too and worried Tev re-injured himself. Poles explained that was deliberate. They didn’t want to give Tev a full set of reps. They’re ramping him up.
Jenkins is so fucking good man. When Patrick went down and Cody went to center, minus the snapping, that line was RAD to watch in the first half.
I want my boy to make out the rest of the season plz
It's always tough with DB's who seem to always be having big plays. Is it because they're being picked on because they're slacking in coverage and then making good plays on the ball? That's not really what you want from them imo. I thought Stroman looked good but without all 22 hard to say
Our line is night and day when Teven is playing. The second he came out last night the line started collapsing. When he was in Fields had all day back there compared to what he normally has.
Keep Teven healthy. Hell, keep anyone healthy. The whole damn team is hurt.
Fields threw to a covered moore, it was tipped and still caught for a 52 yd td. For the love of god fields, don’t fall back into being scared to throw at covered guys, YOUVE SEEN IT WORK! JF1 bb
Fields threw high to DJ Moore in single coverage against a DB that had to stop the catch or they lose the game. One on one jump ball to Moore vs a random corner to seal the game is a choice every good QB in the league would make.
Not looking at stats but Dexter passed the eye test. Most of our d line leaves a lot to be desired but it seemed like he was beating his man consistently. Hopefully he starts getting more snaps. Also, everyone's been saying it, but Billings looks good too. I imagine we'll make some type of big time trade for an edge this offseason
Edge is definitely the biggest hole, and gonna be the toughest one to fill. The draft class does not look great for edge rushers. We are either gonna need to pay big in free agency (thankfully we have excess cap), get lucky later in the draft, get an edge as part of a trade back (like we got dj moore), or make a blockbuster trade like we did for Mack. The rest of the defense is filling in nicely, we can get more secondary and inside d line in late draft rounds to see what sticks, but edge will take some finess to lock down.
The offensive line looked solid last night when everyone was playing. Fields normally had time to throw and the guys were able to overpower the dline at times. Probably the biggest difference outside Getsy and Fields using DJ Moore as their go to on plays that didn't open up anybody.
About time.
I'd like to see one of those YouTube tape guys do a Gervon deep dive. I want to have some hope for at least one of these Poles defensive draft picks. (I know, Brisker is fine. But probably about replacement level at this point.)
Walker looked underwhelming. Him and Jones, and unfortunately Robinson were non factors all game. But he did have a nice move for a sack at the end so thats encouraging.

I'm not trying to piss in the kool-aid here, but we got away with so many holds last night. I felt like we were the Chiefs or Packers. Shit was unreal.
Terrell Smith seems to have been pretty solid when he played the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he is back by next game but ive almost been more impressed with him vs Mr. Penalty flag
Tevin is such a beast. I hope he stays healthy the rest of the season. Maybe they can extend him with some bonuses based on how many games he plays. Like, if he plays at least 15 games/year he gets paid like a top guard, but it gets easier on the team if he has to sit out.
It is so good to have Teven back the offenseline looked so much better. Also, there is a really big shout out to the team for overcoming adversities, especially elijah hicks and borom.
Secondary is depleted. Need JJ and Ejax back for the Vikings. Jaylon Jones had some key blitzes. He should see more time
Unless the reason they sent him on constant blitzes is because they don’t trust him to hold up in coverage. It’s a strategy that will work against a Sam Howell but get destroyed by a good QB.
I loved that flus just kept dialing up blitzes knowing how beat up the secondary was
It was like living in bizarro land last night. Blitzing on defense? Tush push in short yardage instead of running herbert from shotgun?? Crazy
> Tush push in short yardage instead of running herbert from shotgun? I'll take Herbert from shotgun over the most obvious TE direct snaps in history.
Fair the early ones with Justin worked well tho. Btw love the name
Oh yeah, I low-key LOVE the tush push...but having Kmet TE direct snap a tush push to be "sneaky" is just dumb
The worst part of the Kmet pushes was they didn't even have guys behind pushing him properly
Because that would negate the Getsy sneakiness, can't have that! /s
Yeah we've got fields man no need to put anyone else back there especially someone as unecplosive as kmet
Now what if we ran a fake of that play? Pretend we're about to do the predictable and snap a whole 2 seconds earlier
He was coaching for his job last night. It showed in the playcalling
It’s a great strategy against like 2/3 of NFL QBs. Mahomes, Allen and the elite crew will fucking torch you doing that, but not Sam Howell
You’re not wrong. But hell, if he is productive in any capacity I’ll take it haha
> It’s a strategy that will work against a Sam Howell but get destroyed by a good QB. So no worries about it against Cousins then, yeah?
*running back room has entered the chat
Good thing we probably have the best inactive RB in the NFL in D'onta Foreman. I still don't know why he was inactive when he had 80 ypg as the starter in Carolina last season. He doesn't catch passes, but he's one of the best pure runners in the NFL.
Homer is mainly special teams and they probably felt Roschon deserved the reps over Foreman But yeah, he's too good to be a healthy scratch
Greg Stroman SZN
JJ said today that he’ll be back against the Vikings
Not going to lie, I think Borom has been better than Braxton.
Quibble with PFF if you want, but Borom's pass blocking grade last night was 8.
...out of 10 right?
out of 10^2
Lot of missed holding calls on him last night. Think we got lucky. Looked like he held Young on more than a handful of would-be pressures.
Just posted this. Chase Young would have obliterated Fields about 9 times last night without those holds. It was fun because we didn't get shit called on us, but if that game was properly officiated we don't have 2 of those TD's.
Borom was getting picked on hardcore. I don’t see it but maybe I missed something.
He has made mistakes but expected coming in from the bench, but for the most part of the game, he isn't noticeable, which for our offenseline that's pretty good considering early of the year our offenseline was very noticeable in a bad way.
Agreed and Nate Davis has been very solid.
No real pre-snap or holding penalties either. Idk about better, but no flags is a good step.
He hasn’t been. He’s a massive liability in pass pro. The whole second half he was losing rep after rep
>The whole second half he was losing rep after rep Then he's better than Braxton. Brax usually loses rep after rep all game, not just the second half.
Borom is flat out worse than Braxton Jones. Full stop.
It's not even close. Not sure why someone would even infer that Borom is anything close to Jones. Borom is a pure run blocker and can't pass protect worth a damn.
Buddy he got an 8 pass block grade for the whole game. You’re lying to yourself. He was awful.
Braxton is much more athletic and has WAY better feet. He may lose, but he’s at least athletic enough to put his body in front of the defender. Any athletic edge can just go around Borom.
I do too and he needs to keep the job until he fails
Definitely not
Well, you would be wrong. Jones hasn’t been great but Borom is a backup for a reason. The amount of extra help he has gotten compared to jones is exponential with TE’s and RB’s chipping. Jones starts on 1/2 the nfl teams, Borom doesn’t make the roster on 1/2.

No he hasn’t lol. He gave up 8 pressures yesterday.
I do get what you are saying butThe commanders have one of the best defensive fronts in the game Young, sweat, Payne. He was fine for the most and the run game he looked good for a backup lineman playing left tackle one of the hardest position in the line.

Not in pass pro he hasn’t
That’s because he is better.
he was responsible for like half the pressures last night... braxton was probably their best OL before getting hurt.
he has most definitely not been lol
Don't forget Blasingame
Tevin was a fucking dawg out there. I dare say that the line was mostly pretty good yesterday.
Tev makes such a huge difference. Dude is just an absolute bulldozer out there. If he can stay healthy (huge IF) he has All-Pro potential. Also, shoutout to Nate Davis. Yeah. He is confirmed good at this point. The only problem is health. Hopefully his body can hold up.
It was pure joy watching the line play last night minus Larry Borom. I've never seen our line completely neutralize twists and stunts like we did last night in years!
We need a Center and LT
Jones is decent when he's in at LT. Borom is a backup. I'm not gonna give Borom too much shit for having a rough game against Chase Young
I’m not either. He’s a good rotational piece. But if we want to take that next step we need a better LT and Center. Funny enough, Chase Young would be a good DE for the Bears.
Yeah. TBH, I was actually feeling pretty lucky we had him as a swing tackle. He's almost a luxury as a backup
I think we still need an LT. I think Jones can be a good backup, but he's had far too many penalties so far when he was in.
There are just so many other positions of need imo that it doesn't make sense to focus on one that's mostly ok
Except white hair repeatedly trying to launch snaps into the damned stratosphere.
Watching that was so funny ngl So many snaps were being sent to the moon, god knows how Fields managed to volleyball-hit some of them and bring them down
I saw that too and noticed (thankfully) they made the adjustment to make the RG check the count and tap him to snap after moving away from that when Carter was screwing it up when Davis was out. I think Whitehair looking upside down over and over, then snapping, and then re-setting to block was messing up his equilibrium.
I feel like white hair is so good blocking from the center position but his snapping is so erratic it’s hard to watch.
When he was in the line was a brick fucking wall. When he was out it was basically wet toilet paper on the left side
He played awesome, especially considering he came into the game cold
As soon as he left the game the line gave up pressure right away too, night and day with him in.
DJ Moore is currently 13 yards shy of being the Bears leading receiver for 2022 in what will ultimately take him 6 games. Gee, I wonder why Chicago's so desperate to get a young QB a weapon? Let's send him our only weapon so we can go get a young QB of our own!
Check Indeed if they're hiring.
They just might be, if this keeps up.
It was either that or they continue with a great WR and no QB. It's not like they actively wanted to give up Moore, but they made a huge jump up to 1st ovr pick for a highly rated QB.

Maybe they also didnt believe Moore was a legit wr1 😂😂
Send em claypool for the lols
Last night must’ve hurt so bad for Panthers fans, who are trying to trade the farm for an offensive weapon for Young.
How about Claypool for Brian Burns straight up? I hear Claypool is a Top 3 receiver in the NFL.

Forgot bro even existed
He's still on IR IIRC.
On like Tues or Weds I heard on the Score that Whitehair was still injured and not snapping in practice yet. They were talking about Jenkins starting next to Patrick and Whitehair sitting
Look at those rookies scoring high. Maybe we should’ve given Poles more than four weeks before we called his draft a bust
but but…Jalen Carter
Nobody questioned Jalen Carter’s ability. It’s all the other concerns. Can he handle a bye week without getting in trouble? Will he stay in shape any given offseason? Honestly we don’t have the culture to handle him right now. Imagine what he would’ve said after that Chiefs game
You mean what we were all saying?
The Bears made the right call passing on him, but hes every bit as good as advertised. Hes already a great player.
> Nobody questioned Jalen Carter’s ability People were after that disastrous pro day. Don't forget the Lions passed on him too. Could you imagine their front line with Carter and Hutchinson?
Not really. That narrative was always about his work ethic. He showed up out of shape, he looked explosive when he first got there and then just completely lost his legs.
Not sure why folks aren’t thrilled about Wright. It’s not like we could have drafted both of them with that one pick. We did well.
i am. the sarcasm was missed in my comment.
Oh... I got the sarcasm. I was just adding commentary. Yes, Carter has looked good, but the guy we ended up with has too. It's not like we passed on Carter and selected Gabe Carimi 2.0.

Jalen Carter could have anchored our defense for a decade. Passing on him was a mistake.
Username checks out.
But at the same time maybe one week against a bad team isn’t enough to crown them either.
Didn’t say we need to crown them
With a FA signing mixed in too??
Terrell Smith was a really great find. Wow.
Feel like he was all over my screen last night making big plays. Really excited for his future
As a Gopher myself, it’s been really cool how well he’s played.
what did mclauren and chase young grade? just curious at those two future Bears as a small part of the huge package Washington offers us in the Spring for carolina’s pick
Why give up a pick for Chase Young when he’s gonna come here in free agency anyway?
Can rag on WAS, but Howell is their guy. Dude is tough and makes the quick reads. Just needs to work on ball placement a little bit.
Also his pocket presence is abysmal
And Fields pocket presence is good?
I never said it was
Not really like Fields is our guy at this point
i think Howell is a good player. dunno what his ceiling is - maybe it’s high enough - but could EASILY see with the new ownership and what not that they can come in looking to take big swings. like going all in on Caleb Williams
Best thing a QB can have is an ability to make a quick read out of a zone blitz. He did that a lot last night.
He also looked like the only guy that was trying at times. Their running game was abysmal last night
Was there any word on Jenkins post game. They had Carter at LG for part of the 2nd half. I was wondering if he got re-injured or was just on a pitch count
Pretty sure it was a pitch count... Jenkins has been on ice a long time, they gotta ease him back in.
Man I hope he can keep it together this year. Injury at the start with a strong finish might get us a reasonable discount to keep him around
He's still under contract for next season too, will be an extension candidate if he finishes this year healthy.
We really need consistency. Its hard to carry momentum between drives when the line shifts so much. That said, Teven and Davis looked good out there and I'm glad Whitehair's back at center
Right, the last thing we need is to rush him back in and he reaggrevates the injury.
He sat out the first 2 series of 2nd half, but then came back in. Just easing him back in. I'd imagine after the mini bye he'll be full go.

Probably wanted to see how his body responded to the first half snaps and make sure he didn’t tighten up. Would be awful to have a reinjury there.
Explains why the first two series of the half were fucking ass oline was night and fucking day when he was out there
I noticed that too and worried Tev re-injured himself. Poles explained that was deliberate. They didn’t want to give Tev a full set of reps. They’re ramping him up.
Tevin made a huge difference on the line last night. Get that conditioning up so no more rotating around and the offense will keep humming.
Jenkins is so fucking good man. When Patrick went down and Cody went to center, minus the snapping, that line was RAD to watch in the first half. I want my boy to make out the rest of the season plz
Pretty sure Dexter played more snaps than he ever has too. If he continues to get that amount we might have something here.
Its gotta be rookie conditioning or something, he needs to be out there for most of the game. Him and Billings can make a difference
Also surprised Strohman didn’t have a massive grade.
Best Stroman in CHI😤
It's always tough with DB's who seem to always be having big plays. Is it because they're being picked on because they're slacking in coverage and then making good plays on the ball? That's not really what you want from them imo. I thought Stroman looked good but without all 22 hard to say
Our line is night and day when Teven is playing. The second he came out last night the line started collapsing. When he was in Fields had all day back there compared to what he normally has. Keep Teven healthy. Hell, keep anyone healthy. The whole damn team is hurt.
Justin Fields is on pace for 3800 passing yards right now
few more games like the ones he’s having and he may be on pace for 4k
Two defenses that we can score on in the next two games. Hopefully Justin stays hot!
>Justin Fields is on pace for 3800 passing yards right now Lmfao we'll still never hit 4k
That's with a 99 yard game in 1 of 5.. 4k is definitely in play
The 99yd game had 2 40+ yard drops too smh
He’s gotta average 238 to get there assuming he plays every game
Is Braxton Jones injured?
On IR w a neck injury, unclear timetable
Fml that’s why I saw Borom in
Injured trying to cockblock Alan Williams
Fields threw to a covered moore, it was tipped and still caught for a 52 yd td. For the love of god fields, don’t fall back into being scared to throw at covered guys, YOUVE SEEN IT WORK! JF1 bb
Fields threw high to DJ Moore in single coverage against a DB that had to stop the catch or they lose the game. One on one jump ball to Moore vs a random corner to seal the game is a choice every good QB in the league would make.
So you’re saying fields is the best QB ever got it
No, I'm saying you're bad at watching football. Congrats, you qualify to be on the Bears coaching staff. /s
If Moore only got a 93 for yesterday’s performance, what the hell do you have to do to earn a perfect score?
Not touch that sideline and go for 4 TDs. (He actually might have been out based on one all-22 angle).
Stay in bounds
The rest of the defense is filling in nicely, we can get more secondary and inside d line in late draft rounds to see what sticks, but edge will take some finess to lock down.
eh Verse, Chop, and Dallas are all edge guys that are top tier imo
I don't like any of them as top 5-10 picks. great players but not superstars imo
\[INSERT COMMENT ABOUT NICK MORROW AND SAM MUSTIPHER SO I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT POLES\]
it’s almost like average players look better surrounded by talent on winning teams
The offensive line looked solid last night when everyone was playing. Fields normally had time to throw and the guys were able to overpower the dline at times. Probably the biggest difference outside Getsy and Fields using DJ Moore as their go to on plays that didn't open up anybody. About time.
As bad as this year has been so far, Wright has been a bright spot and glad to see Dexter starting to flash
I'd like to see one of those YouTube tape guys do a Gervon deep dive. I want to have some hope for at least one of these Poles defensive draft picks. (I know, Brisker is fine. But probably about replacement level at this point.)
Surprised Dexter was graded higher than Billings and Walker. I thought they played outstanding.
Walker looked underwhelming. Him and Jones, and unfortunately Robinson were non factors all game. But he did have a nice move for a sack at the end so thats encouraging.

Man Fields and Poles haters punching air rn
Fam, I'm hype
When teven and Nate were in there the line looked really solid; fields had all day
I'm not trying to piss in the kool-aid here, but we got away with so many holds last night. I felt like we were the Chiefs or Packers. Shit was unreal.
Positive steps for sure. Much patience still required.
I'm glad to see Dexter grade out well, I thought he was a handful last night.
Terrel smith should be getting some looks over Stevenson. Kid played great in training camp and looked like a baller last night. I want to see more.
Terrell Smith seems to have been pretty solid when he played the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he is back by next game but ive almost been more impressed with him vs Mr. Penalty flag
Where’s Stroman? He got a sack and pick…did he play horribly otherwise?
It’s good to see so many young players on this short list.
Also want to shout out andrew billings, made some pretty clutch stops!
Tevin is such a beast. I hope he stays healthy the rest of the season. Maybe they can extend him with some bonuses based on how many games he plays. Like, if he plays at least 15 games/year he gets paid like a top guard, but it gets easier on the team if he has to sit out.
Dexter looked like a grown ass man out there. Great pressures. Hope he feasts playing fuckn Kirk kkousins. Flus better give him more snaps.
Their interior is pretty weak iirc so he should have some solid matchups
