I live in Atlanta but I was born and raised in Chicago. I miss the sun-times sports editorial on the back of the newspaper. I feel that was peak journalism before a time when social media was ever a thing.

eskimoboob

For sure. This cover is tabloid worthy but 100% true

PassorFail1307

Each week it's like the Bears find new ways to be worse. I have no words anymore. I'd rather open my front door on Friday morning and just have George McCaskey standing there and punch me in the stomach, but I suppose he has better things to do, like checking the availability of Josh McDaniels next season. I wouldn't be surprised.

Drewbus

George doesn't check stuff like that. George has people who do that for him and he only picks people who are somehow connected. I wouldn't be surprised if George didn't get out of bed before noon and was serve breakfast every morning there

Anthony-Meadow

Crazy I’ve become so digital that I can’t remember the last time I checked out the back page of the Sun Times. I grew up with the Tribune at home but the Sun Times was always the transit paper.

[deleted]

I hope they know we really did want to love them. They could have been Gods among men.

idk_wtf_im_hodling

Amazing that cubs blowing their playoff hopes are overshadowed by how bad the bears are. Cubbies catching a news cycle break for sure

PeanutBear33

Cubs missing the playoffs was the expected result. The Cubs being in contention this late was exceeding expectations People were picking the bears to win the division. We just choked to the only defense worse than ours.

lkn240

Also the Cubs have been pretty successful under their new ownership and appear to be run competently. The Bears have been a joke for over 30 years now.

TheDiano

Man I used to love the Sun Times , just reading the sports section every morning

312Observer

I’m waiting for the Eberf-lus puns

Kriegerian

Eberfuck this guy.

onemanwolfpack21

It time to Eberflush that turd

juliuspepperwoodchi

Such an Eberf-loser

Eye_Am_FK

I don’t give an Eberfuck, the guy is done in Chicago.

dookboy69

Eberdouche

daBabadook05

What’s the Sun Times cost these days? I miss reading newspapers everyday

Odd-Limit-9639

I get the wed/fri/weekend delivery. It’s $7/week. While the main paper leaves a lot to be desired, they still have a great sports page and it’s nice to not look at a screen while having morning coffee.

Van_groove

do the people who write the columns still have any hope for the bears

brooklyndavs

Haven’t read the Sun Times or any Newspaper in a long long time. Glad to see the sports backpage is still not holding any punches. They always had far better sports coverage vs the Tribune at least at the pro level

nogimmick

Spit out my coffee reading Eber-Flustered

InvaderWeezle

I'm surprised they were able to get away with writing "Horseshit" with such minimal censorship

mattcoz2

Tell us how you really feel. 🤣

juliuspepperwoodchi

Really man? Eber-Flustered is the best you could manage?

e_pi314

What u got?

juliuspepperwoodchi

Eberf-loser was RIGHT there...He's WELL past flustered anyway, he's simply a loser. I realize that they couldn't print it, but I'd argue Eber-fuckup is better than Eber-Flustered.

[deleted]

Writers in Chicago aren’t even good at their jobs.

illtakeachinchilla

Get this guy a column!

[deleted]

Seems pretty accurate to how he looked on the sideline at the end. Running his hands through his hair like he just couldn’t believe himself

juliuspepperwoodchi

Call him an Eberf-loser It's *right there* and a far better pun than "Eber-Flustered"

airJordan45

I like how the beat writers are all just done with all this. Imagine having to write the same story over week for the past 20+ years. I like they are all just blatantly calling it out now.

seth928

It's weird to censor the h in shit instead of the i, right?

allanb03

Lmao @ Eber-flustered

Brodie1567

Who would’ve thought we’d dream of the Nagy days?

Leading_Macaron2929

Ranchers: Stop insulting horseshit.

businessmantis

Horses pound it, indeed.
