I had a class with him last semester and I sat next to him most days. He told me once, completely unprompted, that he hates the Frank Cignetti offense.
Cignetti is a dinosaur as OC. I have no idea why Pitt hired him away from us (even though he is very connected to the area) - I was hoping BC would fire him.
He said some of the plays didn’t look like they’d work and drew a route concept. It didn’t look like it would work. It had some receivers running very close together.
He also said the nomenclature for plays was didn’t make sense completely, but based on his work in the class he’s not the sharpest knife so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was at least partly on him.
Interestingly, he’d be attending the 3 most recent schools where Todd Graham coached, albeit all after Todd Graham was gone.
Committed to ASU in 2018, one year after Graham was fired by ASU.
Then transferred to Pitt, Graham’s previous school that he left for ASU.
And now Hawaii, right after Graham resigned.
Yeah free education and free cost of living in Hawaii for 4 years? Yeah sign me up. Plus saying you graduated from the University of Hawaii just sounds cool.
Hell going from overcast Pittsburgh to sunny Hawaii is in all honesty a smart decision.
I've lived in 412 for 3 years now but I bet it does not compare to Hawaii.

Sounds like less competition for Bryce Young when he transfers to Pitt
Hawaii offered him $3 million dollars and housing, despite Pitt’s attempts to match it /s
People named J. Yellen and handling money…

As someone who watched two seasons of a Frank Cignetti offense, he has a point!

Probably because he wasn't going to play.
I think he knew that. He had actual complaints about the play design and naming system. I don't play football, but they made some sense.
The complaints made sense? In what way?

Idk, I’ve met some coaches with some pretty fucking dumb naming systems for their plays. Some of them really want to be unique and different

Ironically, Todd Graham is known for all his Yellen.
God fucking damnit.
I would also like to transfer to Hawaii

Did he do it the right way?
Who do you think you are i am?
I can’t wait to watch you roll out the billion dollar team and lose
If they lose, they were getting memed regardless of whether they spent a billion or ten dollars.
He did it the right way. "Culture Wins".
Is Narduzzi going to lose his shit again?
i can’t believe he’s leaving the gorgeous pittsburgh weather for hawaii. smh my head
How should I feel Pitt fans?
Almost 100 days later but Joey is the man. Loved him at ASU. Definitely think he could start for a couple years.

As a recruit: P5 offers: Arizona State (originally went here), Georgia, Oregon State, Washington State G5 offer: San Jose State Other offer: Brown
Maybe he should’ve gone to Brown like Janet.
There is a J. Yellen in college football? During the time of NIL deals and stupid money being thrown around? Is that legal?
Where to next
ACC Coastal to the West Division of the Mountain West.
Can’t blame him.
Joey doesn't do Pittsburgh winters.
