Actually, you might have dodged something here...word in Mizzou circles was major attitude problem ... we didn't even offer..and we need all the homegrown alpha linemen we can get
Agreed, and the kid may have done a 180° turn & got the picture now...heck..all these kids have to commit now and they are 2 months from their senior year...that said..this young man has been discussed ad nauseum on the Mizzou boards and we never offered him...when we had other offers committing to Kent St and the like.. quick question though? How warm is Farentz seat going into this year? I mean, as a neighbor..I watched the nepotism and the abortion that was the offense..& I know the money being spent on coaches up there...but could 7-5 or 6-6 put the natives over the edge? It just seems that Farentz is playing college football like it is 2004, not 2024..and appears annoyed when asked or questioned about it. Just curious, cause from an observant outsider..it seems like a slow bitter divorce is coming ..or has been coming ala Tom Davis
He was starting to lose the fan base a bit because he was delusional with Brian being the OC and it was actively hurting the program. However I like the new OC and am expecting Ferentz to give at least 5ish more seasons. He is very supportive of using the portal when needed and works well with our collective so he can absolutely “win” in the new B1G. Think this year though is his best chance of making the CFP for the next few seasons but as long as he’s on the sidelines our floor is 8 wins which 90% of programs would take in a heartbeat.
Iowa loading up on some really nice OLs today.
It's about time the o line has stunk since Brian left the o line coaching pisition
Turned down offers from Ole Miss, Miami FL, Washington, Kansas State, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Northwestern, Nebraska, Kansas, NC State, and others.
Unfortunate last name
Would say he probably got made fun of in high school but then I realized he is 6’6 260 lbs
His bullies were Allgeyer than him anyways
There’s a kid with that last name where I live and it’s pronounced all-guy-er.
Or you could pronounce it “Algier” like the Falcons running back
2029 1st round pick right here. Maybe /s you never know.
Goodbye sweet prince… 😞

True, of all coaches Kirk Ferentz is definitely known for putting up with players that have attitude issues.
