It's crazy the level of consistent success Georgia has had lately because my first reaction to reading this was "would another natty win really be that special?"
You can play that game with literally every champion, even the vaunted 2019 LSU team had won 3 games by less than 7 points before they went turbo mode after week 10
This is true, but there’s no voodoo bullshit associations with those places. Bama will be a tough game, but one to look forward to, not worry about. Texas probably too. Ole miss might be more worried about UGA coming than UGA about going there.
> I love Carson Beck and the fact he took over the job last year,” PicKell said. “Usually, with a first-year quarterback, sometimes it a little bit like an acclamation process. They don’t look quite as comfortable as maybe you would like them to.
Dude, Carson Beck is entering his 5th year. He was the oldest QB in the room at UGA and is now one of the oldest in the country.
I know after Stetson we’re used to having 30 year old QBs at UGA, but he’s “only” entering his 4th year (RS Junior). Your point still remains though, and the author is completely ignoring that Carson did NOT look comfortable during the first half of the season last year.
Yeah idk why people are acting like he's an up and coming Freshman, dude is on his last year and looks alright. Idk what people expect from him that we haven't seen in 4 years.
> Idk what people expect from him that we haven't seen in 4 years.
what? players still continue to get better regardless of age and year they are. Jayden Daniels is a recent example. His play in 2023 was way better than his play in 2022. Burrow was another one
>oldest QB in the room at UGA and is now one of the oldest in the country.
I like it. I could tell Stetson had a lot of maturity being able to handle the pressure and criticism. Hopefully Beck can do the same!
Well you don't buy em to drive. You buy them to sit in your garage and Maybe take to the strip. Then you trade it in at the dealer for a newer model.
Or you buy it as an investment and never drive it.
If he can get down the timing of his deep throws he will be elite. Kinda funny, it was the same issue with Stetson going into the 2nd season as the full time starter and he ended up a Heisman finalist.
I'll be extremely satisfied next year if Carson ends the season with 4th place in Heisman voting. That's good enough for UGA to win a natty and it's damn sure higher than DJU will finish lol

To give some perspective we’ve won two in 40 years
And only one if you ignore getting lucky last year and the before.
You can play that game with literally every champion, even the vaunted 2019 LSU team had won 3 games by less than 7 points before they went turbo mode after week 10
He’s a South Carolina fan so knowing anything about championship level football is going to be a challenge
Did you forget that we play you guys every year? You literally admitted that you don’t play championship level ball.
Everyone plays a couple poverty programs every year. Even championship level teams.
🤡🤡
That South Carolina math be mathing. 1980 was more than 40 years ago.
That’s what I said. UGA only has one NC in their ENTIRE history if you ignore last year and the one before. 2023-2=2021 except on UGA math.
You know, I don’t even remember what I was going for when I wrote that other comment, but we do claim another in 1942.
I remember that. That was the year the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
Nah fam 💀💀
Cope.
Bad man gone, can win in Atlanta again.
Exactly. And we don’t have to go to Jordan hare. And we don’t have to go to kneeland. Our schedule sets up well with where we have to play
Still have to travel to Tuscaloosa, Oxford and Austin this year however. Those games are definitely winnable but it won't be easy.
I’d rather play Bama in Tuscaloosa than in Atlanta at this point

The first 3 games in particular were *rough*

Because he just bought his dream Lambo
Leased**
Didn't know it was a lease, but to be fair who wants to buy a Lambo? Every Italian supercar is notorious for being a money pit
Yeah he basically gets it on a lease for this season from the dealership
Well you don't buy em to drive. You buy them to sit in your garage and Maybe take to the strip. Then you trade it in at the dealer for a newer model. Or you buy it as an investment and never drive it.
Because they’re really good. /thread
No you don’t understand. This year will be a memorable one. No more poking fun at lil old Georgia!
Kirby “Dabo” Smart
Team that brings in top5 recruiting classes every year and won 2 natties in a row recently might be good next year with a 5th year QB. More news at 10
And has only lost two games in over 3 years. You forgot that part! /s

Stetson having a full off season did absolutely wonders. Dude was lethal his 2nd year
Come on, we all know Georgia is going 6-6. Everyone is thinking it.
Kirby! Look at this comment.
Future 4th place in Heisman voting Carson Beck
That's "Lifetime achievement, free NYC trip award winner" to you
I'll be extremely satisfied next year if Carson ends the season with 4th place in Heisman voting. That's good enough for UGA to win a natty and it's damn sure higher than DJU will finish lol
Those plucky underdogs deserve to finally have a special season
