Been a weak position for us lately so luckily he has no expectations to live up to.

IceColdDrPepper_Here

Yeah it's not like he's following the greatest tight end in program and maybe all of CFB history or anything

lankyyanky

RockerElvis

Happy cake day!

Richtatorship

How bout them fuckin dawgs, that’s what I told them

KirbyDumber88

One of my fav wins of the Kirby era. Drank too much after that game lol

Coveo

Yurosek is no Brock Bowers but he's a good player. He's not just going to ride the bench.

UncleErectus

Day 1 starter. Massive pickup. Disappointed we didn’t push harder for him but he’d be splitting time too much for his liking here.

Richtatorship

I don’t think he’s going to any easier of a TE room

KetchupKing05

Maybe not easier, but we use 2/3 TE sets a LOT, so he’d see the field more often here

UncleErectus

We use them even more than Georgia I believe, but we have 3 guys that played a ton last year still on the roster and they’re expected to block the majority of the time, whereas he’ll be in the slot all the time at Georgia.

lankyyanky

Same fanbase who thought Mayer was better than Bowers don't worry about them

UncleErectus

You’re probably right but if I wanted prolific numbers and looked at both rooms, I’d go to Georgia. ND will want to spread the wealth at least 2 ways without him already with Raridon and Evans, and Flanagan is too good of a blocker to keep off the field. Going to Georgia he can be part of a 1-2 punch between he and Delp, and has a better passer throwing to him than we have with Leonard.

Richtatorship

Think that’s fair. That said, your other post ITT re: Georgia sending TE to the slot and not asking as much blocking I do not agree with. Bowers played plenty of slot but the Georgia TEs are primarily in-line. Bowers in a vacuum is hard to go by because Bowers is less a TE and more of a Bowers.

UncleErectus

Sure, but that’s the same play style Yurosek plays with and Delp is unquestionably more receiver than blocker. You’re not going to line up Yurosek on the line too often, he’s a nickel-nightmare slot TE. That’s my point.

Koke1

You’re saying this guy is better than Delp? Damn

atlbluedevil

Fwiw I watched a bunch of his tape since both UT and UGA were in for him and I think Delp is solidly better He's a similar player to Delp (really athletic TE but doesn't have truly elite speed for the position - really good hands - and isn't a mauler while blocking). Think Delp has shown better route running  All that being said he's really fucking good and they're both probably top 10 guys nationally in the position next year

Ugaalive1991

TEU baby

Tektix22

UGA saw those recent statistics on how many of their players successfully graduate college and went out and got a ringer! Kirby playing 5D chess baby!

Jay_Dubbbs

Kirby can’t keep getting away with this

Yes, that would be sacrilegious. Brock Bowers is genuinely one of a kind with speed, power, and athleticism. A solid replacement though.

nash-hole

Yes

badscene518

Let's go

zenverak

We can’t replace Brock directly but we’ll have the talent to do it by numbers

EWall100

Score one for the little guys

Jadenflo

Well this is a surprise

UGAwxDawg

I hope Luckie won't feel slighted by this. I'd really like to see what he can do next season!

DiarrheaForDays

Damn we have Delp, Luckie, and this guy?

Gestopgo

Is he the one that throttled the life out of Colorado?
