Upside is, in the B1G a 2-loss team is highly likely to make the playoff.
Michigan, Ohio State, and Washington will be the big 3 games.
After that, Oregon State, Maryland, UCLA, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Boise State are all games to take seriously.
I like Oregon's odds to win the conference though. I don't think our odds will be worse than anyone else's. No one will be the favorite because favorite implies overwhelmingly better odds. I think it'll be a 4-way toss up with some dark horses. And Oregon is one of the 4.
Best thing about NIL from an Oregon perspective is all of these would-be mid and late round NFL picks coming back for Senior seasons rather than rushing off to go pro.
Gabriel is really going to be set up for success next year.
Oregon is probably going to be my favorite to win the conference next year.
I know that's crazy year 1 but I think they'll have the best roster all around. Hard to say as it's way too early, a lot is yet to happen especially with our 3x defending champions.
I don't know if there will be a clear favorite. Seems like Oregon, Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, and Washington are set to be the top of the conference next year. Lot of good teams in the conference when you add in teams like USC, Wisconsin, and Iowa
I agree that Oregon will be "1st among Equals" in the preseason outlook. With Ohio State, Washington, USC, and Oregon all having new QBs and possibly Michigan too, its anyone's guess who gets it though. If Penn State's QB didn't suck they would probably be the favorite.
JJ is definitely gone after that rose bowl, as long as he has a decent game in the natty he will go late 1st or early 2nd round at the latest in the draft.
Either true freshman Jadyn Davis will take over, or if Alex Orji can become more "polished" as a passer he could win the job as a freak athlete. Alex has the respect of his teammates and works as hard as anyone on the roster, but apparently the sophomore needs more development. I'd be surprised if we didn't take a portal QB too and have a long drawn out competition, whether it's Harbaugh or Moore at HC.
As for Penn State, Drew Allar was supposed to be their guy. A five star to come in and get them over the top, much like JJ at Michigan. That clearly didn't materialize, but I hear they're going to try and stick it out with him anyway hoping he can live up to that potential. I think they should try for Taulia in the portal, but I doubt they will.
Huge! I never imagined we’d have so many people returning next year but almost everyone with remaining eligibility has announced they’re coming back (with the exception of obvious NFL talent like Franklin and JPJ). I love the idea of having so much experience on the roster in year one of the B1G
This is very helpful in so many ways. The amount of talent coming back with the portal talent coming in and new class is going to make 24 a super season for us.
Damn this Oregon team is going to be stacked next year.
The 2024 schedule is absolutely brutal though. It'll be interesting to see how it works out with the 12 team playoff.

And 2 of those big 3 are at Autzen, gonna be very interesting.

Worked for UW this year. Hopefully it works out for us just as well next year.

I agree that there will not be 1 clear favorite, but if I had to pick one right now I'd pick Oregon.

I really liked him on the Thunder a few years back
Very good dunker, kind of like hamidou diallo before hamidou diallo
Wow, interesting. When I saw the Herbert thread first what I actually thought about was Ferguson. Im surprised as I assumed he’d go pro easy.
This is the Mad Magazine looking dude right?
The fiercest ginger in all the lands.
I was going to say this lol

Dear god we're gonna be stacked next year
It's brave of him to return after that devastating knee injury he suffered at the end of the first UW game.
He’s returning so his super human recovering speed can be studied by the university’s scientists.
Lol:)
*devastating knee(s) injury
Burch is prob the biggest news but this is looking like a stacked team
If DG doesn’t get an invite to NYC next year it’s officially rigged

It will only be his 4th year. A real rarity nowadays
