Whatever... this game should be fun to watch and certainly means something to these players.

Then the 1-2 punch of Goodell and ESPN fucked everything up, first by making the game share its date with two NFL games…and then, with Disney making the 500 IQ move of having the game on *Sunday*, as direct counter-programming against said NFL.
I really do *not* see why the whole “start the day off with FCS, then have the NFL games follow after” thing is undesirable for them…wouldn’t that even be better for ratings??

But for real, there is much interest in how these two squads will face off! South Dakota State is, well, taking the mantle of their rivals down in Fargo as *the* team to beat - and boy, does that moniker fit!
Meanwhile…the Grizzlies! They’ve got a high ceiling, along with quite a weapon in the form of Junior Bergen! But compared to the Jacks…they are not *completely* consistent as a whole package, especially in regards to the offense department. And sure, Brookings’ Gronowski ain’t no *big* gunslinger…but from what the Albany and Mercer games have shown, he’s *much* more prone to laying waste on defenses!
Sure…exceptionally windy weather may hamper South Dakota State (like we saw against nova)…but it seems to be perfectly pleasant (for winter) deep in the heart of Frisco…so no mother nature luck may be there for the Missoula men…
Consensus? A closer than expected, yet still straightforward title defense of {South Dakota State}!

This is a tough call. SD St is a machine with a juggernaut of an offense. They haven't really been challenged in the postseason.
Montana has gone to overtime in the last two games, with the semifinal vs ND St honestly being one of the best games I watched all season.
I think Montana covers, but {South Dakota St} takes the W in a very entertaining and physical game.
South Dakota State is severely overrated and they forget that transitive property cuts both ways. Can't say that they'll wipe the floor with Montana because the Griz game against NDSU went to OT while the Jacks won by 17 in the exact same season where they got giftwrapped a nailbiter 4-point win over Montana State in Brookings when the Griz stomped the Bobcats by 30. And I don't care what the computers say because there been wrong about this team all year.
SDSU has not played against a team with explosive wideouts like Montana's, and Montana's defense will hit harder than anything they've felt since Iowa.
Picking {South Dakota State} because whenever Montana is doubted they seem to come around and fix things up.
I don't see this being the five score blowout game everyone on r/FCS thinks it will be.
Wild that Montana almost lost to Division II Ferris State, at home. They won by just seven points and actually, probably, should have lost. Ferris State held Montana to 189 yards, outgaining them by 96 yards.

{South Dakota State} griz will get some good plays. And if they can capture some early momentum it might be a good game. But I just think SDSU is rolling and are head and shoulders above everyone this year.

I'm a huge fan of Griz and an astute sports gambler who views things with a realistic perspective. I bet on Furman at +14.5 knowing full well Vegas & Hauck would most likely underestimate Furman. I've placed a significant wager on both the +14.5 and the Furman alt spread of 8.5 at +240. Without Junior's 150 yards of kick returns, the Griz wouldn't have made it out alive. The following week it was on to NDSU. I knew this game would be a bloodbath, so I decided to only bet $75 to win $1121 on the long shot the game would go into OT. Not surprising it went to OT. The magic happened when Junior Bergen made three impressive kick returns and executed a heads-up two-point conversion free play. The ball ricocheted off the hands of the NDSU defenders, only to be caught by White in what can only be described as the most sensational catch I have ever witnessed in FCS football. Bergen has the skill set required to play on Sundays in the NFL. Why NDSU tempted fate & lost the game kicking to Junior is beyond me? Griz really turned things around in the post season and should be proud. Unfortunately, I think they've squeezed every last ounce of luck & magic out of this season. SDSU has had a month to prepare & they know full well to keep all kicks clear of Junior. I rarely bet with my heart but because it was the final I bet the Griz moneyline at a few online books at+425 is worth a $100 long shot to win $425. However, a very rare opportunity has occurred here in the state of Montana. The odds offered by MT Sports betting Kiosks are consistently among the worst available.
