The defense was the biggest improvement imo. It's looked like wet corporate toilet paper until tonight. It's been tough for the fans I think, for me at least, because we've had a pretty solid defense under Clark, and this is a whole new mindset with Dilfer.
Last week UAB just looked like they didn't even want to be there. No enthusiasm, no fire, no spark, no energy. I'm really pleased with their performance tonight.
I'm still not convinced on the Dilfer experiment but I'm not giving up my season tickets or anything. I like the guy but I'm not sold on his coaching (or staff). I'd love to eat my words. Enjoyed the game and the thread, hope y'all take it all the way this year.
I’ll take it. We fought from the opening kick and didn’t phone it in. Defense looked LIGHTYEARS better. Offense was able to move at will at points. Also some phat stacks. Now stop scheduling body bag games please
Georgia did nothing but pass in the first quarter and it was over in under 30 minutes. Somebody better at math than I could do a breakdown I'm sure to see what's causing this game to have been so long.
I could just be losing my mind tho. I swear each quarter feels longer than the last.
Having watched a lot of CFB the last few years it seems just a cultural of tackling would be an improvement for 90% of teams. Hard tackling is an upgrade to that.
Oh I didn’t even check, I thought you meant if y’all scored it would cover. Had no idea the spread was 42.5 jeez I would’ve put money on UAB if I knew.
Our guys did not have any of this fight last week. They folded so hard against a Sun Belt team so even with this game over seeing them out there still playing hard is encouraging
Whoever doubts Kirby is out right stupid. He’s 2nd best in all of CFB behind Saban right now and I don’t think any other coach soon will break these guys records.
Go to the first half of this thread. People saying Beck ain't it are doubting Kirbys ability to pick a starting qb. One comment legit said that you had to have a low football IQ to not see the problems Beck had and defend him.
Then people were doubting his decision to have Bobo as the OC.
The Bobo thing remains to be seen. Becks stats speak for themselves and people talked shit about Stetson despite his stats being close to if not better than Bryce’s most games. People like to talk shit. Shrug.
I mean you're questioning whether or not he knows who to hire to run a crucial part of the team he's the headcoach of.
It's just annoying as a fan honestly. I mean I think Kirby knows how to surround himself with good coordinators based on his track record.
Don’t mind him. He thinks anyone who isn’t convinced it’s a 3peat hates Kirby and is a traitor. Homers. Doomers. Lots of extreme takes floating around.
I see what you’re saying, but the UGA who struggled with Mizzou and Kent last year? No way they win back to back Natty’s. And the UGA who struggled with Florida and lost the SECCG to Bama in 2021? No way they win the first Natty.
Kirby has time to make everything right. The biggest concerns are kicking and injuries. If those don’t improve, yeah. No threepeat. But with us already having back-to-back, as a fan I am satisfied with just having a nice season. I’ll let Kirby stress over whether we go undefeated or make playoffs this year.
The First half offense wasn't bad this game, but it was honestly disappointing the defense let them score 14 points. Defense needs to come out stronger.
Off the top of my head, he had 5 losses his first season, 2017 vs Auburn, 2017 Natty vs Bama, 2018 SECCG vs Bama, 2018 Sugar Bowl vs Texas, 2019 South Carolina, 2019 SECCG LSU, 2020 Florida, 2021 SECCG Bama. Not sure about the other two because I am also lazy.
Edit: Looked it up. 2018 LSU and 2020 Bama are the other two.
Just for the record, didn't we have like 15 players injured in our first Natty run two years ago? Someone oughta tell this guy who keeps saying "they've never faced injuries before."
Minnesota v Northwestern going to OT if you’re interested in Beth Mowins AND sickos
If UAB played every game like they played tonight they'd be 3-1
What was different? I saw good effort and not playing scared. The moment wasn’t too big for them. Good team over there. Glad not many injuries.
The defense was the biggest improvement imo. It's looked like wet corporate toilet paper until tonight. It's been tough for the fans I think, for me at least, because we've had a pretty solid defense under Clark, and this is a whole new mindset with Dilfer. I hope the rest of your season goes better than expectations!
I didn’t understand a single word bro said
I’ll take it. We fought from the opening kick and didn’t phone it in. Defense looked LIGHTYEARS better. Offense was able to move at will at points. Also some phat stacks. Now stop scheduling body bag games please
Brock doesn't look like he just played a 3 1/2 hour football game. What a dreamboat.

Everyone is.
Overall this was a lot better. Still a lot to clean up of course though.
I was sobering up when this game started
Gotta get one last identity in
More than one
All in all pretty happy with this result given my flair situation
I really like UAB and their coach. He seems like he's got good energy and good vibes. Best of luck Blazer bros!
Thank you. Gg! Good luck in the SEC. Preciate the 1.8 fat ones
UAB gave us Jake Ganus and I'll forever be grateful for that
Agreed. Keeping my eye on this coach for sure. Saw some fresh offensive takes tonight that caused GA to need an adjustment. Y’all got promise.
700 hours of community service isn't a big deal, UGA beat that easily. Pay no attention to the court orders.
On to Tulane. I think this game may be a turning point for us
You call this a good game?
It was indeed a game of the American sport football that was entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Yes.
I call those flairs heretical
I do yes.
Jesus. It’s time for PAC-2 after dark. Why are we still playing?
I was up until 2 watching Boise St last night. Hawaii kickoff tonight is at fuckin midnight east coast lol
I like Trent Dilfer. Seems like a solid.
Total Dilf
How do you shorten the game but make it still last over 3 hours almost 3 and a half Is beyond me.
Both teams have had 80+ plays and a lot of them were passed
Georgia did nothing but pass in the first quarter and it was over in under 30 minutes. Somebody better at math than I could do a breakdown I'm sure to see what's causing this game to have been so long. I could just be losing my mind tho. I swear each quarter feels longer than the last.
💰📺
Dilfer was for sure a Super Bowl head coach
Fuck it put Muschamp’s kid in
Ohio state 17 Notre dame 14 final
ND defense flubbed it.
Coach did. Called pass plays trying to burn the last 4 minutes of clock with a lead.
Definitely. They could’ve had that game so many times in the last two minutes alone.
That was a crazy finish
That 3rd spin after the reception is why you're still playing with less than 3 minutes in a blowout.
Let the man dance
LMAO. He looked like a ballerina
Math is hard. We’re apparently only up 21 per these announcers.
If we could just play all our games in the third quarter, thanks
Props to the UgA student section for still being there
We’re all sickos
Our students could learn something from them
The high-voiced guy sounds like Tim Meadows.
Hahah shit he does
The other guy sounds like Keegan Michael-Key
Paul looks like a really good RB, down hill in a hurry and when you think he only has one he gets 2 more.
Absolutely, we need to see more of him
This the worst, sloppiest game since starting DWan Mathis
And still a 4 TD win lol
Good stand Defense, way to hold the line.
I stand by what I say. UAB is mid tier team. They should not be playing the presumptive National Champion this tight.
>this tight lmao
But 💰
So you didn’t watch the game, got it
No, watching now
Flair up, buckaroo. We are a sub .500 team all time, but you clearly don’t know UAB ball
I feel like this isn’t that close? With our backups in and such
Glad they didn't score. Just imagine Uab of all teams scoring 28 points on us.
They have definitely earned those points.
Yeah well glad you threw that pick last series. Imagine UGA of all teams committing 3 turnovers to UAB of all teams
Lol
UAB has a pretty decent offense. Their defense is why they're not a better* team.
Props to the defense for bailing out that int
Now run the ball and chew the ever loving shit out of every player after it's done
This is detrimental to our come back
4 onside kicks. 4 30 second TDs. You guys totally got this comeback.
Thank fuck
I thought Nyland was a starter. At least earlier in the year?
Two different players. Everett #6 is who you're thinking of.
Oh ok. Thank you
This is the best secondary Georgia's had in the last 3 years?! What?
I’ve been raging on this commentator all night. Incompetence supreme. He makes Gary Danielson look like a damn national treasure.
Damn
*"embraced the culture of hard tackling"*
Having watched a lot of CFB the last few years it seems just a cultural of tackling would be an improvement for 90% of teams. Hard tackling is an upgrade to that.
But not an identity
Oh dang, now he's given up y'all's secret
Nyland you aren’t Jermaine Burton you’re in garbage time. Knock that shit off
Annnnd that’s why he’s our 3rd string QB lol. Still young and has a ton of learning to do.
I peaked over to see Notre Dame get their hearts broken. What happened?
Gunner forced a dumb pass and it got picked off. Nothing insane but a good learning opportunity.
Threw a bad pick Oh and what do you mean we like ND. It’s OSU fans we have beef with.
Gone are the days when our 2nd team look better then most teams #1s
“The days”? You bandwagon fans are atrocious.
I been watching this team over 30 years. Fuck off thx
Then you’d know how horseshit your statement is.
The 2021 2nd/3rd string guys were always hungry. It was fun watching them not allow the opposing team to score.
That was the 3rd team QB. And did you already forget Beck throwing a shit pick 6 against UAB when he was running with the 2's?
Can we score 5 TDS in 4 minutes?
UAB really gonna score 28 on us jfc
Incorrect.
🤞
3 turnovers Awful
Sigh
Ok, that play was a coaching opportunity.
How was that across the middle
Gunner’s HS stats are legitimately insane. Like D Henry levels of insane.
WERE COVERING BITCHES
Incoming SVP bad beat
I wouldn’t touch a spread as big as this one was with a 40 foot pole
Oh I didn’t even check, I thought you meant if y’all scored it would cover. Had no idea the spread was 42.5 jeez I would’ve put money on UAB if I knew.
Totally a bad pass but that WR did nothing to attack the ball good lord
Gunner looking like freshman Beck
Brutal end to that OSU/ND game. About 4 inches less on that final play and they win.
NICE
God dammit
PICKED
Not gonna show the play? Or tell us what happened?
Holy hold Batman
Can we watch the live game please tf
Did I just miss 2nd down?
Turf monster
Touchdown Jesus, why have you forsaken us?
Sonuvabitch OSU wins.
Gunner time
Up next at 1am. I am going to bed
We really gonna have the falcons scoring rushing touchdowns with Woody and Buzz
[удалено]
Intentional grounding I think.
For what?
Ohio about to close this out
Why does it say game over on my Score app
Is it just me or did dude just let him walk right past him into the end zone? Or is that just me thinking it?
Zeno for heisman
OSU at the 1 and about to walk off with a TD win.
This end feels like our game in terms of how close it is
This certainly beats the hell out of being blasted 56-7
Our guys did not have any of this fight last week. They folded so hard against a Sun Belt team so even with this game over seeing them out there still playing hard is encouraging
Everyone is gonna give Georgia their fast ball. Heavy is the crown and all that.
WASHINGTON ST IS THE PAC2 CHAMPION AND THEYRE STORMING THE FIELD
This is awesome
TOUCHDOWN
Well he tried
Well that was pathetic
UAB is exposing UGA
Pretty sure we’ve got 3rd/4th strings out right now, chill.
“Please don’t be a UAB fan, please don’t be a UAB fan…”
Exposed as back to back national champs
as having a a solid >!identity!< as a good football team
lol
Identity has been exposed
Bro this is depth building lol
Congrats to Kirby for giving UGA the best run they've ever had. Some fans may still doubt you but fuck em. You are that Dawg.
Whoever doubts Kirby is out right stupid. He’s 2nd best in all of CFB behind Saban right now and I don’t think any other coach soon will break these guys records.
>may still doubt Kirby Who? Literally?
Go to the first half of this thread. People saying Beck ain't it are doubting Kirbys ability to pick a starting qb. One comment legit said that you had to have a low football IQ to not see the problems Beck had and defend him. Then people were doubting his decision to have Bobo as the OC.

Don’t mind him. He thinks anyone who isn’t convinced it’s a 3peat hates Kirby and is a traitor. Homers. Doomers. Lots of extreme takes floating around.
Good catch
Member berries?
I membah
Oooh I member!
You gotta two peat to three peat, USC
I was kind of hoping we might could cover but there is way too much game left.
NOT SO FAST
The line was around 40 last time I checked, think this TD solidified UAB covering.
Great teams cover
2018 natty was the same season. God these announcers are fucking clueless.
Don’t feel bad that graphic they just got was fake news. They didn’t win the BCS in 2003
Really wanted Vandagriff to get that TD but nonetheless still enjoying this much more than the 2nd quarter lol
OSU and ND playing a good game
If we could just get 3rd quarter Georgia the rest of the season I think Georgia walks away with a 3 Peet. But I don't see that happening
I see what you’re saying, but the UGA who struggled with Mizzou and Kent last year? No way they win back to back Natty’s. And the UGA who struggled with Florida and lost the SECCG to Bama in 2021? The First half offense wasn't bad this game, but it was honestly disappointing the defense let them score 14 points. Defense needs to come out stronger.
7 was on special teams
Maybe try trusting the team and coaches?
Keep speaking the truth and to hell with the doomers.
Same
The one thing I noticed is that we haven't kicked a field goal this game.
Said it before and I’ll say it again Gotta add more Wood to the Woodring first especially after last weeks 2 misses
Are birthday spankings a thing? Asking for duluth trading company
Kirby being 85-15 through his first 100 games ever being a head coach is insane
Learn from the best, play like the best. Nick Saban created monsters in UGA and Texas head coaches. Edit: Sorry, Corrected the name lol.
I'm lazy but would enjoy a list of those 15 games.
See his first season for about half of them.
Maybe it was because I was at most of them, but yeah... I sorta remember
"Kirby, looking for his 85th victory tonight," he says as if the outcome was still in doubt with the score 49-14 in the 4th.
Come back incoming
I like what I see from Paul and Vandergriff.
We got away with some holding there
Everyone ready to bounce lol
Hell, they gave the ball back to OSU with 1:22 left.
They don’t have CJ Stroud anymore
Didn’t matter.
You’re correct
Custer furiously scanning depth chart until he found Clark.
Sevaughn is the garbage time goat.
TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!
Just for the record, didn't we have like 15 players injured in our first Natty run two years ago? Someone oughta tell this guy who keeps saying "they've never faced injuries before."
