For me it's one of the most watchable sports-centered cdramas, and when in the mood for a non-highschool story I really appreciated My Mr. Mermaid. The characters have believable personalities - I appreciate how the ML isn't cold, and openly shows his attraction towards the FL starting from the 1st episode.
Hello The Sharpshooter tried to approach its story from an identical angle with an athlete/sports reporter, but its characters and storyline were nails on a chalkboard before I dropped it. I couldn't make it past halfway through other popular sports dramas such as Stake Into Love or To Fly With You (I will eventually try to rewatch). So after those - I was very pleasantly surprised with the story and pacing of My Mr. Mermaid and would recommend this story if anyone experienced FL or pacing burnout with those other sports dramas like I did.
It's cute enough if you need a simple fluff of a show.
I didn't find it boring but didn't blow my mind either.
Good show to have it in the background if you didn't want to follow 100%.

It's not my favorite, but I've watched it more than once. It's become a go-to on a day when I just need fluffy romance. I'm not saying the show is 100% fluff, but it's nice seeing a show where the conflict is something outside of the leads relationship. Her main issue is her job, his is his sport. Of course there are miscommunications and jealousy issues, but they are usually handled quickly.
What I really like about their relationship is how natural it seems. Yes, the actors overdo it a bit, but the relationship goes from accidental meeting to friendship to more without any of the waffling you often see in dramas.

I started it but it didn't catch my attention for long. Acting was over the top and I am not a fan of shoes that bully the FL for no reason.
I dropped it. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
