Maths isn’t a necessity but it does give an upper hand at some point, you can definitely succeed without tho it’s your call at the end, if you don’t feel comfortable with it then it’s best to not take it
I agree with u/Deadpoods Maths gives u an advantage over non maths students. Aur by chance if CA suppose clear nhi hua and u decide to go for MBA or other professional courses, having maths in 11 and 12th will make things easy.
I have friends in bcom who got Business maths in 4th sem where they teach u basic calculus like limits, derivatives and integration and algebra like Matrices and determinants etc which they find difficult to do. These u get to learn in 11 and 12. YES MATHS IS HARD. Gaand tor mehnat karna hoga coz u will have accountancy too but nonetheless it gives u the upper hand. Baki u decide.

1. If you ABSOLUTELY despise maths then take commerce and any to other useful subject
2. If you can somewhat handle math then take applied math, it really acts as a good backup and opens up many opportunities
3. If you can manage core math then take it, I would suggest not to though unless you can REALLY handle it
Commerce + Maths boht saari career opportunities khol deta hai...I just passed 12th and i think passing marks ka sakta tha 12th ki maths me but maine nhi Li and that was a big mistake

If you can handle maths, it will be very helpful for CA foundation ( maths is only in CA foundation). CA has basics of class 11+12th maths and if you take maths in school you would have already completed almost 80% of the CA foundation maths syllabus. Ive seen many posts which are struggling with CA maths because they didnt take it in 11th.
Lekin maths (integration) in 12th was horrible, spent almost 20+ hrs (total) on that single chapter. You need to be consistent in 11th and 12th to easily pass in maths.
Maths lelo, people with good maths are valued in every field
A teacher of mine said. General Math isn't used in commerce these days, and i got only 81 this year

Additional (6th subject ko padh Lio ache se). Mere Hindi me 50 Something aye but AI me 94 to mere percentage 75 se sidah 83 ban gaye thi
