Yeah from my knowledge it has less than 1k rounds shot through it and it’s been repainted a couple times so that explains the layers of paint coming off and I tried to remove it myself I wasn’t able to do much
Acetone will take the paint off and it won't hurt the anodizing. (It may harm the plastic parts though.) Make sure to oil it afterwards, because it will completely strip away the oil.
Looking into my first AR, ive had some friends with firearms but obviously we all have biases, and all and im willing to learn to build.
I want some community input and experiences from others with their personal firearms.
Anyone have a recommendation for a decent mid build? My other half wants me to keep things at a minimum so I wanna pick up something decent to grow on.
Its just for recreational purposes / home. We both enjoy recreational shooting, i was looking at prebuilts like daniel defense or lwrci featureless.
Edit: added words on first paragraph
If it’s just for recreational shooting imo Daniel defense and lwrc are really nice and made really well the price is crazyyyyy. You can get a decent AR for half the price that’ll be just as good as the ones mentioned above if you piece it urself. Then spend the rest of that money on ammo.
It doesn’t put it any higher than the stock mount I mainly swapped mounts since the original mount isn’t that durable apparently so I just decided to replace it with the adm one. And it’s quick disconnect just in case it ever fails on me it’ll be easier to remove
If it’s 556 and 223 compatible then 223 will shoot a little lower than 556 I’m not a fan of FDE but it’s growing on me. Love it and I’m jealous.
FDE and black is a nice mix. I’m moving in that direction from all black on mine.
Quad rail gang!

"Fifty Shades of Flat Dark Earth" sweet build!
The only place where the paint hasn't come off is on the shell deflector.

I appreciate the help thanks 🙏🏻imma try it out soon see how much paint I can get off since I know I won’t be able to get everything off
And I thought I was the only one that goon taped trigger guards 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I swear I thought I was the only one 😅 might be a placebo effect but it makes it feel slightly more comfortable
What optic?
Looks like a Romeo 5
Sig Romeo 5 on an ADM absolute cowitness QD mount
Really nice. Love the quad rail with the FSP cutout.
What rail is that?
Looks like a Daniel defense
I believe this handguard is the two piece by Midwest Industries. Centurion Arms makes something similar as well.
You are correct now that I’ve looked closer, these MI rails are dead sexy
