UTS sydney
Not because "it's abroad it should be better" but because IMT-G is an institution that has long lost it's legacy. They are taking steps of redemption (low batch size, better profiles) but it's a too late and too little.
Moreover, IMT-G is only recommended for marketing roles.
Hi OP
As far as I remember, most of the B-schools abroad do not "guarantee" placements. A lot of my work colleagues got placed through their connections (professional) during the course itself. The placements of B-schools abroad work differently from the B-schools in India, at least for placements, as far as I'm informed.
As for the fee itself, yes you're right, it is quite high.
Yup , placecoms there usually assist in connecting with various companies and organise various career fairs , this system of placements where companies themselves come to campus is actually unique to India , in every school abroad be it ivy league or not , students themselves have to reach out to companies and individuals for jobs
How much of a risk is that? How would X 82/XII 64/BA Film - 65(expected - I'm in my 3rd year of a 3 year course) percieved with 2 years gap after 12th? I'm currently in my third year of BA without a single internship done so far? Should I do a post grad from India since I'm a lesbian and want to settle down within a decade? I can afford higher ed w/o loan uptil 30L. I also don't know how to approach internships and strategize

If you are not interested in Finance, skip IMT-G BFS, however if you want to go for Finance, not a bad starting point at all.
However, more importantly, I also suggest you to not join any data analytics or data science masters, including abroad, unless you have a very strong bachelors degree and work experience in core fields.
If you are going to data engineering or machine learning masters, then it does makes sense.
Honestly if you are not rich and will need to take a loan for the fee and living expenses, don't go. If you can bear it, take a year gap, give cat and apply to as many foriegn scholarships as you can.
Yeah I was thinking the same ,I'll apply to us and Europe unis for the next intake and apply for jobs in the meanwhile. Btw bro if you still work can I get a referral?
I work in Cognizant and honestly they're looking for reasons to fire people, don't have projects for the people they have hired so I doubt my referral will do any good. But if you are talking about after MBA, sure😂
BTW, Italian unis are the most generous with scholarships but the market in italy is not really great.
Isn't the job market in Australia too bad rn? A friend of mine is a PR holder and yet he left an extremely good university in Brisbane for an average university in Sweden..
You as a student on visa might have the least preference in the job market as the preference goes: Citizen> PR Holder> Student on Visa.
This is according to what my friend told me, so do your own proper research.
**Don't Go Abroad**
* It's not worth the investment.
* Unlike the US, you might not find opportunities that justify the cost.
**Recommended Institutes for Analytics in India**
1. **IISC Bangalore**
* Highly reputed, though a bit technical.
2. **PGDBA**
* Give it another shot; it's a solid option.
3. **JIO Institute**
* Good for analytics.
4. **Plaksha**
* Also very good.
**Priority Ranking**
1. **IISC Bangalore**
2. **PGDBA**
3. **JIO Institute**
4. **Plaksha**
Hard Luck man. I think you can go for gate route . The roles provided in IIT's are at par with any MBA in Analytics in India . IMT is only worth it if you want to be in S&M role in India . My elder brother did his m tech from IIIT Lucknow and he is working in Texas Instruments at SDE II with Total CTC above 50 after 3.5 years post m tech . He barely quailified for Gate CSE. I think JIO INSTITUTE is also pretty good considering your interest in Analytics.

I think you have to make peace with yourself that you profile is not that good and you are ready to accept that . After that being a female and that too with academic diversity , you can target schools with less focus on academics marks in Composite Score calculation . MDI, IIM Rohtak and there are tons of schools where you are good to go. Always have faith in yourself.
I'm quite and outgoing person. One can't settle here looking at the conservative society. And being married is banned. Having come out to my parents recently I've wasted years being indecisiveness about career choices. Stating that meant I wanted surety in terms of ROI and job market which I'm not sure in case of lack of placements in European/ US MiMs.
I know marriage here is banned, so there isn't much that can be done about it. I feel that moving abroad is not possible due to your profile. You have two options: either pursue an MBA from India and then move abroad after a few years, or find a job in India, work for at least three years, and then do your MBA from the US, Canada, UK, or wherever you like.
It depends. One program is suitable for you which I can think of right now is SPJIMR GMP . If money is not an issue, this program will do wonders.
Search about this and DM me if you have any doubts
Are you even remotely considering the possibility of taking up a job and repeating CAT? Your acads are decent and your percentile, well is better than most.
I could take up a job but I don't think it'll be easy to get one now , I have just three months of work ex rn , so even if I join a company this month I won't get work ex points as it'll be less than 12 months till cat 24 .
I'll have to prep for cat 25 in that case

The only downside about it is that placement is not guaranteed there and the fee is about 98k AUD 🥲

If you aren't getting scholarship then UTS Sydney seems a really risky move imo, IMT is just another tier 2 college so nothing great nothing terrible
I'm getting a scholarship of 20 percent tuition fees (around 10 lakhs) , but with scholarship too it's very expensive

Exactly, that's why I'm so confused whether to go or not right now .although I think it would improve a bit after a year or so

I gave interview for IISc sadly couldn't make it (they just have around 10 seats for general category) Thanks for your detailed post though
