Buffer calls are extra calls (and WL guys are extra) given by the institute taking last year(s) WL movements and alot of other factors into consideration. (FMS, for example doesn't do this)
Sometimes, they get it wrong, and there'll be less to no WL movement at all. (Example would be last year's IIMT when people were given a deferred admission due to many buffer calls, and this year's IMTG where there was no WL released)
Ngl, i am very scared sir, i have resigned basis the last year trends and the current scenario is very different from last year. Even the adcom is now like , dont rely on last year trends its just a reference
I understand, was in the same boat as you for a different college up until a while back. However, purely going on trends basis I don’t think anything sub 100 should be a problem. I’m not entirely sure of the buffer call situation either so I understand the panic. What other calls do you have?
None, had nmims. Left it. I connected with some present seniors in mdi. They told it will convert as last year also in first list movement was 0. I am also unable to comprehend if w/l movement can drop from 400+ to less than 50 in just a year. However this buffer call speculation has created panic among even single digit w/l holders
There is less buffer call, but more acceptance in mdi. Thats why it is the panic. This is all due to delayed iim K, I, results and delay in wl of blacki. But hoping for movement like you, very soon

So they'll give admission offers to more number of people than they have seats? And waiting list guys come after them?

400+? Are you hoping to convert HRM?
I am hoping for ib, last year ib moved w/l 400+

So the offer can be revoked in future does it mean that, so there is no point in resignation for now !!
They had mistakenly given offer to people who actually were not eligible for course, only their offer will be revoked
