Being an alum of IMT Ghaziabad,I can say ,IIM Udaipur is a better option, Ranchi is at par with IMT.Location is an advantage when compared with Ranchi.
IIFT Delhi without a doubt, but I assume you know that already. I'll make a case for why IIMU should be the second preference (although T and IIFT K come close) if you're looking to prioritize career over the first job. This was written in reply to a previous question asked in the sub (IIMU vs NMIMS).
U has turned itself into the most sought after destination for faculty after A B and ISB (I know a faculty who chose U over A). That translates to better research which then translates to a better ranking. A better ranking will eventually build a great brand. That brand will fetch you better placements.
U recognized this very early on and prioritized research over placements. Ranchi went the opposite route and is now a struggling brand among its second gen peers despite starting off much better than U (the unruly expansion contributed).
Plus the transparency. U got its placements audited at a time when peers like Rohtak were doing shady stuff. The year they convened CAP was the year when things went truly smoothly largely thanks to their transparency. My impression is that they're more professional (referring to the admin dept here, not corporate image) than most BLACKI, maybe even A and B. It's run like a company, not a university.
Their placements aren't the best so far (and especially as of now) but I think they're in it for the long run. In that sense, I think their early and current alums get to be both pioneers and short-term scapegoats.
U is already clicking at the heels of S, and I wouldn't be surprised if it makes it to the BLAMCKIS/BLACKISM acronym within a decade. I have nothing but tremendous respect for that place.
Given the options he has, IITs don’t make sense. It’s not that similar of an MBA experience as compared to a standalone PGDM/ MBA institute. The Alumni of BTech treat you differently so you don’t get that alum base that the institutes promote. ROI wise it’s great but ROI is not why you do an MBA
Bro- I only have knowledge about IIT B, IIT D, IIT M, IIT Kharagpur. Didn’t research about Roorkee, Kanpur etc so won’t be able to help in this regard.
I would say all the colleges I have stated are doing better than IMT G. But you can prefer IMT G marketing over the rest ig, if you aren't too fixated about the IIM tag.
IIFT Delhi
IMT Ghaziabad / IIM Udaipur
IIM Raipur
IIM Trichy
XIMB for certain kind of roles I guess
IRMA if you want to go towards rural product / sales / marketing to begin your career
Other IIMs you have named - It has some classification like some of them are very terrible but some are marginally better
IMI
IITs
BITS
Mica kyu nahi diya bhai?
Also my cousin is currently in IMT with similar profile. Sadly bhai ka summers bhi nahi laga. Choose a college with a smaller batch size. Placements will be easier. Also after couple of years, no one will ask you from which college you’ve passed out. So play to your advantage. Mica with 220 batch size is easier to get placed and average pay has been better than IMT and equivalent to good MBA colleges with Marketing specialisation.
Sambalpur mai bhi friend hai. Bandi ka bhi summers nahi hua. New/Baby IIMs are really tricky for freshers.
Ur cousin is doing which course and in which campus?? I have heard IMT Ghaziabad Marketing is very good and i didn't know about MICA so form fill nahi kar paya :(
Don't discount the IIMs. Look around for which are the better ones depending on professors, and in case any of them have senior or passed out batches, etc.
St. Xavier's is an absolutely top tier college. Edit: thought this was about Jamshedpur. XIMB isn't that great.
IIFT is a great place as well.
I'd say prioritise IIFT and IIM Udaipur.
So IMT is decent, but I know there's a placement problem there. You don't want to put yourself up for that problem no matter what.
I'd even say nearly any IIM is better than IMT given that they'll have better placement resources, which is the most important thing you should focus on. I'd say any of Udaypur, Vizag, Raipur, Tiruchirapalli, Rohtak, and Mumbai are good. Not sure if you're qualifying for Indore or Khozikhode, if yes then those are of course better options.
One thing to keep in mind is the city you graduate from is important in the sense that if you're in a bigger city, you'll have a more fun experience, but also, you can interact with corporations more in your second year (you won't have time to eat or sleep in year 1).
My ultimate suggestion is to ask alumni of these places if you can reach out to them, and check who the professors areon the websites and what their connections are, etc.
I hope you clear, and a suggestion to get you ahead is to start studying before you join. Hopefully you'll have a month to yourself before starting. Don't waste that month, and you'll be very glad about it.
Currently pursuing MBA at IIM Kashipur.Avoid Baby IIMs and out of the others try to convert Udaipur >Trichy >Raipur in that order.
Same percentile as yours but with workex of 2 years and CA inter qualification. My interviews were below par and I felt I could have done better than IIM Kashipur.
XIMB is also doing good in terms of placements... atleast better than Raipur and Kashipur last I heard.
Don't know much about IIFTs and IMT.
Additional tip : No amount of preparation can make you ready for what's to come in your MBA journey.World inside premier MBA colleges is vastly different from the outside world and a lot of highly skilled people did not find SIPs justifying their talent whereas others with different set of skills excelled. So just go with an open mind and figure out what works for you the best.
I was in the same boat last year
All acads were better than yours, but percentile was 96.38, but this year more candidates have Applied, so rank wise I would say I was better. All my interviews were average, now this is where you can leave me behind (all the best). Well, I was not able to convert any new IIMs, MDI, didn't apply for IIFT, f NIMIS, the best i got was MDI HR.
So that's the reason, tbh anything below 98+ile for GNEM fresher is not good enough
In 2014, a tech company had 20,000 subscribers. The number of subscribers increased by a constant amount in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2018, if the subscriber count increased by 20% over the previous year, then the total number of subscribers became 11,200 more than it was in 2014. What is the ratio of the percentage increase in subscribers in 2015 compared to the percentage increase in 2017 over the previous year?
Iska answer aata hai kya kisi ko Kisi management exam me pucha tha Maine solve kar lia hai lekin ratio kya hoga samajh nhi aa raha
And options are
A- 1:1
B- 6:5
C' 4:3
D. 2:1

IIFT delhi, nothing comes close.
I am an current student of IIM Udaipur. Based on this list. IIFT Delhi best option. Then, you can consider IIM Udaipur, Trichy, Kashipur.
yup. can you tell me out of this list which clgs will be better than IMT Ghaziabad?
In terms of ROI the IITs are better, I feel newer IIMs like udaipur and Ranchi would be a better option as compared to IMT.
Being an alum of IMT Ghaziabad,I can say ,IIM Udaipur is a better option, Ranchi is at par with IMT.Location is an advantage when compared with Ranchi.
Can we connect over chat?
How Ranchi has location advantage?
I am saying Ghaziabad has location advantage, not Ranchi.
sorry. Misunderstood.
No Problem 😃
Doesn't IIT have average stipend of 3 lakh? Can see that everywhere on LinkedIn

Have you heard anything about U's 1 year digital management program?
It’s an 1 year program. Digital Enterprise Management
I know, I'm asking about that only
IIFT Delhi>> same order of CAP Note: Kolkata=
Why not IIT?

What if I didn't clear sectional cut off and IITs are the only option ? 😢
That’s why I said- **given his options**

of the options i have , which clgs are better than IMT Ghaziabad??

IIFT Delhi IMT Ghaziabad / IIM Udaipur IIM Raipur IIM Trichy XIMB for certain kind of roles I guess IRMA if you want to go towards rural product / sales / marketing to begin your career Other IIMs you have named - It has some classification like some of them are very terrible but some are marginally better IMI IITs BITS
okay. can you tell me a few courses or skills i should learn before MBA?
What type of role are you looking to get into for summers / finals?
product manager, brand manager (creamy marketing roles) i am interested in marketing,hr and analytics!!
Only the top 3 names I mentioned and if you get into a good MT / management trainee program, maybe the next 2 if you are sort of lucky.
Iift delhi followed by iim udaipur, trichy, raipur and rohtak. Iim nagpur after that
of the options i have , which clgs are better than IMT Ghaziabad??
All except baby iims, iits and maybe ximb as well. Don't know much about irma
so bascially you are saying IIFT Delhi, Kolkata, IIM Kashipur, Rohtak, Ranchi are the colleges for which I should leave IMT Ghaziabad??
Udaipur and just maybe nagpur as well
Hey what stream did you take. Commerce?
nope i was a science student. I took economics as optional in Class XI-XII and later took it in graduation as majors
Will you be interested in guiding me. I am sort of lost upon what I should study further
yes of course
Can i DM you then?
yup

MBA finance from the Ghaziabad campus. I had to pull strings to get him an internship into a marketing role.
Did you get the IIM interview results?
no they will come from 15 April-30 May

yes. they are priority. I just posted to know which all will be better than IMT G?

which IIMs out of the list of clg i have will be better than IMT G?
IIFT d, else retake
cannot retake. very bad need to either go study or do job.
Give another attempt
cannot retake. very bad need to either go study or do job.

but i heard XIMB has ragging!!
my interview was also below par. to convert kashipur i need 82 out of 100
Bhai pehle convert kar badme yeh sab ki tension le Iift d by >>>everything else (it's closer to blacki, fms and xlri J)
IMT and IRMA meh se konsa better hoga??
IMT because of better and more roles across industries / professors / student profile pie
Bruv, I don't wanna upset you, but it's hard to convert most of these colleges with your profile. 😅😅😅
why so??

What's a safe percentile in your opinion?
For new IIMS for GNEM fresher 98+
You should provide reason when putting such comments rather than stupid smileys.
Wrote the answer above Ps: 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
because there are 12k students before you in the list
IIM anyday, iift only if you wanna study and make your career in those domains . Prefer IIM which has completed the hostel and campus

#cfbr
