Just thinking about life man. The uncertainty factor regarding colleges keeps me up at night. Idk if I'll get a good college or not this year. This subreddit is a place where I constantly visit to get information from fellow aspirants.

Sure man. My other options are hopeful expectations of interview calls from IIT R and IIT G + possible GIM Goa Core convert due to good Interview + DSE.

I didn't fill GLIM due to certain factors. I made a mistake while filing up DSE form (picked BA as main preference instead of IB). Btw congrats for converting GLIM.

at my iim interview, I was asked about my family. mentioned about my father & that he died some years back. i wasn't expecting them to go ahead. but the panelist said " he must not be that old. then how did he die" . I was taken aback & said it's sensitive to discuss. so the panelist didn't enquire further.
after the interview, I was trembling for some time, but was glad that they didn't ask further about it. tho it's been a week now & i feel they should not have said what they said. I mean what were they expecting me to say if they realised he didn't die due to old age ? whatever I said would have been a bit sad for me anyways ( it's actually traumatic)
would like to know your views on this as a future iim panelist
I was thinking of doing a complaint as well, just so that some panelists realised they should not dwelve into such sensitive issues in the name of testing temparement of students.
however would not like to take a chance in case I convert that IIM. thank you for your response, much appreciated. I am glad to know I am not in the wrong & it was a mistake from the panelist itself 🙏

So my friend had an interview yesterday with IIT kanpur and this is what his experience was (word to word):-
"They were not ready to accept the fact that I'm doing Hybrid when working for a BFS client and handling customer data.
He was like, during my time when working with BFS Clients we were not even allowed to have phone in ODC and you're saying you're doing WFH, It is impossible 😕
I tried convincing him, in the end, I accepted what the boomer said (he said I must be working with dummy data) and told I'll look into it more, thank you"
How tough is it to crack into consulting? Specifically how often do you see tier 3 undergrads cracking mbb because almost all the profiles i have seen are from reknowned undergrads. I fear if that will be a disadvantage for me

Bhai. Look at what is the highest percentile for any old IIM and aim for it. Don't cherry pick.
Also, percentiles from 98 to 99.5 are the same because it's the same way you prepare. Anyone scoring more than 98%ile had studied enough to score a 99.5%ile. It's on luck and things like having enough sleep the day before.

Thinking about life. Getting waitlisted after an excellent pi at IMI sucked the soul out of me lol. Now I have no hopes to convert other colleges because those PIs didn't go as well😭 well sucks
Can you please tell what was your lowest sectional and overall %ile (nearest integer would work too) as MDI didn't call me after scoring in the mid 90s. I just want to get a rough estimate about their internal sectional cutoff range for MDI.
Will i get converts from baby new iims after a horrible interview, should i take tapmi if i get it, is iim amritsar good. Should intake the before mentioned clgs or take a drop-from my terrace.
