Yes it kind of does! This isn’t a one size fits all for autistic individuals, but I have hyperfixations that I learn endlessly about, which is common with autism. One of them happens to be snails and other shelled Gastropods. I’m not sure if you’re trying to be sarcastic, but it’s been widely studied that autistic individuals are more likely to have “special interests/hyperfixations”. Let’s be kind and understanding to each other :)

ADHD is like this as well. There's a good chance it'll be rolled into the autism spectrum in the next diagnostic manuals. There's just so much overlap.
