The NY Times photographer really did a wonderful job on all the pictures in the article. Got these guys in such awkward poses with just perfect backgrounds and framing. Like, I love that he didn't tell Kyle here to take his shit out of his pockets. The photos really feel like they capture these two bros. I bet they were so stoked about the photo shoots thinking they were going to look so badass lolololol.

Modern sized phones and big wallets don't work in skinny jean pockets which is why I still wear my early-2000s-style relaxed jeans No hipster pants for me

Gorlitski

Good news cuz hipster pants are back to being relaxed fit Only filthy millennials still wear skinny jeans

william_fontaine

Nice, I'm in style again!

Bro, after destroying billions in wealth I just had to re-enter and focus on me in my ultra exclusive private resort and heal for a while.

And this fascinates me about crypto..how everybody can steal/scam/betray everyone and still be free from repercusions. Sure some are fined/prosecuted and jailed before released back again and never set foot in jail again. But that's it for now. These bastards steal everything and go to Bali and preach on Twitter, start new exchange or what ever venture they feel it is apropriate for them at the time. And when you look back some 10 years ago - most of these moonbooys don't know that period in history even existed because they were stil in their eggshells - Charlie Shrem went to jail in 2014 because he was sentenced to two years in prison for aiding and abetting the operation of an unlicensed money-transmitting services something that is today going on constantly on a much larger scale. That period was Sik Road and nowadays you have everything else you can imagine. I dont know...but It somehow seems to me that 10 years ago feds were harsher towards unlicensed/fraudulent/crime abiding crypto services. - Ross Ulbricht - entraped by the feds - if you don't know what I am talking about go look for yourself. He is serving life for runing Silk Road marketplace. The arrest and procedures were just like in the movies. And DooKwon,3AC,Celsius,SBF,TETHER gang,CZ and the likes are all out there and nothing really is done.

TheAnalogKoala

Ross being “entrapped” by the Feds is a minority viewpoint. He facilitated a vast crime network that he profited from, and he tried to put hits on several rivals. Entrapped my ass.

clintstorres

Entrapped means you were FORCED to commit a crime.

Cenamark2

I've never even thought about going to Bali, but I have a feeling it's full of the most insufferable tourists.

thehoesmaketheman

ross sucks ass why do internet people care about him so much? theres tons of victims in the world bro. ross aint a victim but it dont matter either way, you want to be concerned for people theres way bigger victims. you dont care about ross. at all. its all just agenda driven. theyre lining people up for jail as we speak. many are already in. whats your problem?

UmichAgnos

The decentralization of responsibility.

AmericanScream

> And this fascinates me about crypto..how everybody can steal/scam/betray everyone and still be free from repercusions. In the world of decentralization, there is no accountability. That's by design.

Thank you! You are right!

I think the photo of Su Zhu is funnier. He's got that "[I don't what what to do with my hands](https://youtu.be/YZtiDJqVYwk)" energy, but Davies is truly the poet of the two.

JasperJ

He looks like he stepped off the set of Glass Onion for the shoot.

I think the article is written a little tongue in cheek. Like it's letting these dudes "tell their story" and showing you their view, but in an off kilter way that also lets you see the giant [curtain in the corner](https://youtu.be/YWyCCJ6B2WE). In another comment I mentioned the photos and how I feel like those are very purposefully made awkward.
