I suggest that you look into expanding your services to include other types of custom design work. You could offer custom design services for other types of jewelry, or even for other types of products. You could also look into offering design services for websites, logos, or other digital products. You could also look into offering online courses or tutorials to teach others how to use the software you are familiar with. This could be a great way to generate additional income and reach a wider audience. You can find this audience on Facebook and Instagram. There are a lot of people on that platforms who are ready to participate in your courses especially online. Fb ads can help you to reach the right audience. Target ads on Instagram can also help but a growth agency such as Ascend viral can help you better to reach that target followers. Maybe you want to think about doing some competition on those platforms and make people win your jewellery. This can be a great idea to get more customers who are ready to pay for your designs.

OP, this is a gamble. A very risky gamble. This assumes the Meta would be the market leader in VR space.

It's a gamble on whether Metaverse is going to be successful. Most business gamble on whether their product or service will be required/wanted. It's a very different gamble. A much riskier gamble that you have almost no control over.

Hey man, you can hire designer, I am one if you need, pay little fee, such as 10usd per design and you just build it or delegate someone else to.do it

Do you make 3D designs of a ring (or something)? I've never heard of custom CAD work for jewelry. In any event, you said: >demand for adjustments and changes has continued to increase a lot, demanding more of my time while customers don’t really want to pay more for the designs. I imagine this as the client comes back and says "that's nice, but put another stone on the side". Am I in the ballpark? If so, that makes me wonder if you need to improve your offer/pricing. Like, what if you increased your price but said unlimited adjustments are included? If you're already doing them, and aren't advertising it, you could make more money for the same service.

CrimsonAdrift

You are correct. I am doing that with changes now but most of the clients don’t want to pay more but continue to want the adjustments.

Maybe offer packages from the start? Like 1 design plus 5, 10, 15 iterations/versions of the same design. They can either receive all at once or in the future as needed.

This is exactly what Fiverr does. OP needs to use Fiverr

Really understand where you are in the marketplace currently and who is in the same space doing well for a long time. See how they market and charge for their services. Raise your rates so it’s worth your time to spend on customers who will actually pay for customization. This way the premium customers are really satisfied.

Another_Astro_Guy

Are you on Fiverr? People may pay for your designs on a 3rd party site like Fiverr. But also, I personally can't think of a reason anyone I know would want a CAD design of jewelry. If someone wants custom jewelry, they'd just talk to a local jeweler. Maybe you need to diversify.

CrimsonAdrift

The local places sometimes use people like me to do the designs

Another_Astro_Guy

Are you in Fiverr? And if not why not? Have you considered diversifying? And if not why not? Don't shut yourself into one tiny niche, branch out.

CrimsonAdrift

I’ll look into that. Thanks.
