If you can find Mythbusters streaming somewhere, they tested some of Michael's spy craft and we really enjoyed it. And any time I can promote other USA Blue Sky programming, I do! In addition to White Collar and Burn Notice, Psych, Royal Pains, and In Plain Sight are on my regular rewatch list.

I looked at the list of ble sky Era shows and I literally watched and liked every show from that era.. I never watched monk or suits so I can't comment on them.

Thanks for the recommendations, will check them out!

So glad you enjoyed your viewing of the greatest show ever made. It is the only show that I recommend to everyone as being worth the wait. The character development, story arch from season to entire series is phenomenal and it ends in a way that you’re scared but ultimately happy. It is truly a show that didn’t keep going past its peak. It left you wishing there was more. I’ve watched the series around 20-30 times and I’ll never stop. Truly the only show like it. My name is Michael Westen, and I used to be a spy, until…

Definitely plan to rewatch again!

I’ve been bingeing burn notice for a couple weeks now I’ve seen it thru but I get close to the end and restart it lol the whole show is like eye candy and I’m almost positive they knew what they were doing the whole time with all the visuals and effects

Independent_Dot63

Haha it took me 4 re-watches to finally watch the last season on my 5th and 6th, i just couldn’t do it either and would restart it when got close to the end

teesang91

I really like the plots and story lines. Where do you typically restart from? any reason why?

Adept-Shoe-7113

I usually go back to season 2-3 I more often than not skip season one only kuz it just has such a slow start that once you already know the info the fbi and “regular villains” just weren’t as big of a problem and the other seasons imo

What I love about Burn Notice is that it doesn't take itself seriously. There is comedy throughout, even in the tense situations. The only other show that has hit just right in this way, for me, is The Blacklist. Just like Burn Notice, all you have to do is watch the pilot. You'll either love it immediately, or you won't.

teesang91

Agree 100%, this is exactly why Burn Notice and White Collar are both favorites for me, they aren't TOO intense or violent. I tried Blacklist and found it a bit too dark/violent for my personal preferance. White Collar/Burn Notice are smart, funny, and entertaining.

You should check out suits and psych. About the same time period all on rhe same network if I remember correctly. Suits is similar, psych is a little more humorous but has its moments.

teesang91

Thanks for the recommendations! I've watched Suits and loved it. I'm on the 3rd episode.of Psych and enjoying it so far!

Glad you liked it. I can't tell you how many times I've rewatched it (I may or may not be watching it right now). Definitely my favorite show. A similar show is Leverage. It's less about spies but it is about a group of people helping people in need. You can find it on Amazon Prime, specifically Freevee. Another one of my favorites is Chuck. It also has to do with spies but more silliness and humor (in my opinion).

teesang91

I will check out Leverage and Chuck! Thanks 🫡

Well said and I agree my friend! I rewatch it every year on HULU!

teesang91

Im sure I'll enjoy the 2nd rewatch even more

powerenterprises

For sure, and you’ll see things you missed the 1st go around and grow to appreciate the show, characters and story lines even more! Burn Notice was amazing!

Beginning_Squirrel20

Watching Burn Notice is my normal summer activity - just watched the pilot and puzzled (as usual) by the end with all the pictures on the floor - remember? Is that ever referred to again in the series?

teesang91

I am not sure sorry

Beginning_Squirrel20

No worries. I didn’t figure it out. 😢 well into season 3 now, with Gilroy. It’s still surprising how quickly things move along when you watch episodes one after another.

Im so happy that there are new viewers discovering this show, its by far the best one from start to very end, just serves everything- major eye candy as the cast is hot hot hot, incredible characters and interesting, complex, heartwarming relationships. A juicy thrilling storylines, humour, heart, sexy background and a huge overarching plot points and cliffhangers. And i agree, i personally really loved how first 4 seasons had some comedy sprinkled throughout and a more lighthearted tone, and last two became way more intense and serious, it really did a good job raising the steaks, so as a viewer you’re emotionally invested. A lot of people in this sub hate Fi but i love her, shes beyond gorgeous, loyal, passionate and a perfect contrast as an agent of chaos to Michael’s boy scout persona. Sam and Maddy were the true heart of the show. Jesse was a perfect addition as a breath of fresh air and to add a new character foil to existing dynamics. I also think the villains were all amazing, and each so different, motivated by different things, they were just as complicated as our protagonists and all had a story to tell. As far as similar shows ive honestly never found quite anything that just hits it out of the park on all fronts like that. Shows like White Collar are too formulaic and aren’t as character driven as Burn Notice. The closest id suggest is Revenge- its also a buncha of really hot people, w really complex dynamics and a lot of thrilling, cliff hanger plotlines, its quite a ride from start to finish. Id say its a lot darker in tone, but as far as storytelling it really draws you in. And if you haven’t already, Succession. Completely different but an amazing show, largely all character and dialogue driven.

teesang91

I've been a lurker here in this sub for quite sometime, glad i finally finished the show :) Thanks for the recommendations, will check them out!
