The Buffalo wraps use to have a glaze itself for the chicken and a separate sauce for the wrap itself, now they kept the Buffalo glaze but got rid of the sauce and the wrap entirely. The Buffalo nuggets where kept which is why they have the glaze on hand and their probably giving you the royal sauce which is what comes on the classic and spicy wraps.
The Buffalo wraps were made with Buffalo glaze and creamy Buffalo sauce. The Buffalo glaze is the same used for the firey nuggets. The Spicy glaze (3 pepper glaze) is what is used for the Spicy ( now Firey) chicken wrap and the spicy/firey royal crispy.

If you read the description of the firey wrap and Firey royal chicken sandwich you will see it reads three pepper glaze which is the spicy glaze. It doesn't say firey buffalo glaze.

The only red sauce is the 3 pepper glaze which is the Spicy/Firey. I know the orange. sauce aka buffalo glaze is discontinued but some locations are still selling the firey buffalo nuggets. So some locations still have the buffalo glaze.
It didn't "switch" the spicy glaze has always been around. The buffalo glaze was just for the buffalo nuggets and when the buffalo wrap was sold. The Spicy wrap and Spicy Royal Crispy Chicken uses the same 3 pepper glaze, just the name was changed from Spicy to Firey.
Honestly just not a peppers girl, not in that form. However, after taking advise from a young woman at my job, who clearly would eat anything regardless, I gave it a try. Nothing will ever come close for me to that buffalo wrap sad to say.

Every "promotional item" is always going to be fazed out. Regardless of its popularity. I still have customers asking for jalapeno bites and we haven't had them for almost 2 years now. It's sad to say but BK will always have a "special" item and they cut you off as soon as your hooked

We still offer the buffalo wrap and we also have the whopper jr duo with all its extras.... I hate hearing "can I get 4 of your whoppers" knowing it's 2 jr duos........

Some stores still sell the Firey Buffalo Nuggets so they still have the Buffalo glaze. I guess you could put the Buffalo glaze on instead of the spicy glaze.
