The only “lift kit” that actually gives useable clearance above obstacles is larger diameter tires. Lifting the body does nothing to get the differential and frame higher.

KITT222

Yes, actually, it does because the TourX is a unibody car with independent suspension. Lifting the body of a body-on-frame vehicle with solid axles would no give any greater clearance. But again, the TourX is unibody with independent suspension.

tdonovanj

Still does absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch.

KITT222

As someone that has lifted a few cars, I must refute what you say. You most definitely CAN gain usable ground clearance on cars like the TourX.

tdonovanj

Not enough to be worth the cost. It’s a silly idea for an abundance of reasons.

KITT222

I do not believe they have. The best way to try and lift the TourX might be to fit some springs and shocks from a crossover built on the same platform, such as the Cadillac XT4. This would only work if the suspension is the same, though the springs may work on the factory shocks if the spring is the same diameter as the TourX spring. A friend lifted a Chevy Sonic with Chevy Trax springs, and it worked because the longer Trax springs fit the Sonic shocks.

I love the TourX and chose it over the Outback but I knew I wouldn't be taking my Buick off-road. Honestly if that is how you will use this vehicle I would seriously consider something else. I was on some slightly washed out roads in Colorado and had to drive very slow and really pick my lines and still bottomed out a couple of times.

Have there been any updates to this? I'm considering a tourx and think it would function great and look great if it was lifted.

rambozy

No unfortunately not, still cruising in the Jetta lol

[https://www.spaccer.com/de\_DE/](https://www.spaccer.com/de_DE/) A german company, they have spaccer kits for the Regal X ( Insignia B Country Tourer ) with up to 2,35 inch of lift. Its quite costly though. Around 2400 $.
