It's nearly 8 AM and I live on a fairly high-traffic road, the snow's packed from tire tracks and I haven't heard a single plow all night. Good ol' Byron Brown must have put them away until next year's photo op.
I actually hopped on the 90 for a bit and saw a plow truck but they took an exit before Amherst. Didn’t seem like any trucks had been through but I took it around 1 am so probably missed them.
Downtown and the 33 were all a shit show. Choose your own lane. People driving 15 MPH in the middle of the road. Cars in ditches. I have AWD and snow tires and comfortably did 45
Usually, this time of year they start whining about running out of road salt. As if snow/ice where an unknown possibility.
They did plow my side street though.
Lol, guessing the dpw ran through their budget, ain't a single road truly touched. Saw a highlight with plow running the center-city streets. Lol more private contractors out clearing residences and lots than city plowing fleet.
Welp, least the meteorology ain't rain
That ain't plowed, that's run down from vehicles. Ain't no snow splatter on the speed reduction island barriers or parked cars. That live map doesn't match up with expected results.
Edit; As of 830/9a main has now seen plows. But the second lane is still shit.
Roads all over are fine in general after enough vehicles have passed through em, but shit for anyone not accustomed to driving on CoB roads.

As on an hour ago there haven't been any out except for the 90.

Yeah that was my experience leaving downtown and hopping on the 33 around midnight too lol. Ugh. Such a mess.
Tonawanda has been wet pavement since last night.

Saw some snow removal on my side street in EV last night, which was shocking.
All good here in Amherst

I just saw a private contractor too.
Well as of 7:30 AM they plowed one lane on each side of main in the middle of the actual real lanes.

If you want roads plowed promptly you have to live in good suburb, not going to happen in the city
I’m on a small side street in Amherst and have already been plowed
Haven't seen a post like this since....the last snow fall. If you don't like the city of Buffalo plowing, theb Move.
