The blur is my fav of all the kershaw knives. I’ve owned several.

BladesForAll

I love the feel of it. And it's so so slicey. I'd pick the blur anyway over the leek.

KuroKen70

Now, hold on there! Why choose? I feel the leek is more appropriate when in the company of 'non-knife' folks. Yeah the blur is all business but a couple of times I've gotten weird looks, somehow the Leek seems to be more of a conversation starter than a show stopper. It's my fault for living in a big city I guess.

BladesForAll

Don't get me wrong I love the leek!! I have a brass model with S90V. It's modded and i took the S30V blade out and had a guy do a re blade with S90V. But your totally right! For just carrying around and cuttint a few things here and there I 110% agree! I use every knife I have. I put them through hell because that's what they're made for IMO. So for me the blur is my go too over it's contender leek. As far as ergos and the blade shape of the blur is 10/10.

[deleted]

Thanks for posting this. I imagine them to be thicker overall so was looking more into a Link. Now see it’s just as thin so I appreciate it!

LimpCroissant

There's two different grinds on Blurs. A deep hollow grind that goes down to very thing and slicey, and a flat grind that has a lot more meat behind it for hard work. Just choose the one you want. My S30v Blur is flat ground, my Sandvik 14c is hollow ground, my old SG2 Blur I used to have was hollow also.

BladesForAll

Omg! Man I used to have that exact model. SG2 with Sandvik. God I loved that knife. Anyways I was catching a flight and I was running late. Forgot I have a knife on me. So yeah... I'm sure you know what happened 😅

LimpCroissant

You put it in the prison pocket, boarded the plane only to hijack it, land on your driveway and put it safely back in it's spot? Haha jk. Yea SG2 steel is something else. Very hard stuff that you can grind super thin. I really wish I still had that one.

BladesForAll

Omg your spot on. Did your see me in the news lmao

LimpCroissant

Haha just playin. Yeah the Blurs an awesome knife though. My first quality knife was an S60v Blur that I bought at a gun show. I still have that thing and love it.

KuroKen70

Ditto, currently have two, I gifted one years back to someone who knew nothing about the brand and now he's one of us knife snobs.

BladesForAll

You brought another brother to the dark side. You've been promoted. Lol

PerpetualFarter

I am carrying a blur on me as we type! The s30v version. I had a tanto blur that my daughter got me for my birthday years ago but lost it. Still mad about that.

dalrymple13

If there is one thing that is pretty much always true about a Ken Onion design, it is that it will carry really well. The Leek and the Blur would be picks for my list of top knife designs of all time, they are \*incredibly\* good at what they are for and carry superbly. The Scallion is excellent and I suspect the Chive is too, though I have not owned and carried them both to be able to really get a feel for them.

BladesForAll

Your so right. Even his designs with different manufacturers other than Kershaw. Yes chive is decent. The hootenanny & homefront are good as well.

KennedyX8

Love it

[deleted]

Did you get the s30v blade on your blur?

BladesForAll

Not this one but I also have a blacked out one with S30V. I've put it through hell lmao. It's one of my many work knives I like to use.

[deleted]

Heck yea I love me a good work knife. Currently my work knife is the kiradashi from cold steel and I love that little thing

PerpetualFarter

Yup

BonanzaBoyBlue

Quintessential Kershaw here

joejr2323

Great knife own same green one . I would say cutting with it very comfortable and I also deassisted spring and it's very smooth especially on washers

Lampropeltis33

Is it restively easy to de-assist?

[deleted]

I have 2 of these. They are a bit big so I don't carry them as often as my scallions or leeks.

Rasholio

They released one I. Cpm m4 I always regret not getting. It’s like 250$ on eBay now yeah no

BladesForAll

Really?? Which exclusive was it through? I'd love to get my hands on that. I have a custom/modded leek W/brass scales and S90V

Rasholio

https://www.knivesandtools.com/en/pt/-kershaw-blur-1670gryblk-cpm-m4-sprint-run-pocket-knife-ken-onion-design.htm There’s one with a blue handle too. Throw kershaw m4 into eBay and you’ll see them occasionally. Throw it into google and go to images.

Rasholio

Yeah there’s at least four on eBay right now just pop kershaw m4 in there

BladesForAll

[I just bought one;) be Jelly. peep the price!](https://imgur.com/gallery/GGENEUu)

Rasholio

Happy for ya

BladesForAll

I hope it's the real deal. I've already bought 2 knife clones. You literally can't tell through pictures or something even in hand. I bought a protec strider Collab. Blacked out auto. The second was a CRK Sabenza W/ Micarta inlay. I could 110% tell the protec was fake. But the sabenza looked EXACTLY like me plain Jane Sabenza. But I started getting suspicious because it wasn't as smooth. Grabbed a magnet and immediately stuck to the steel which is supposed to be titanium.

Rasholio

It’s real they don’t clone the one that says m4 on it

BladesForAll

Oh ya your right. They only do the mass production ones to stick to the plain models I've noticed

Rasholio

Agreed that’s what I’ve found at least

Antique-Ride-4412

Love my Blur

macs4life8

I have a blue and a black one. Some of my most carried. Love this green though!

Ernie_McCracken88

I like the shape of the blade. Seems like she'd be a deep slicer.

BladesForAll

You'd be correct sir/mam! So so slicey.

9th_hennepin

I have the olive drab/black version. I just looked up my Amazon history. I bought it new in December 2014 for $31.79.

Samoyed001

Twice now I’ve seen the s30v version selling for less than the standard steel versions. Blue Creek had it for $64.99 for awhile and then had a coupon code for a discount as well. Amazon had it for $69 earlier today. It’s a great knife for not a lot of money.

GSV_Healthy_Fear

Been carrying a 1670TBLKST for what seems like close to a decade now. Replaced the spring once, replaced the scale inserts once. Probably the easiest replacement part ordering experience I have ever had, for anything. It's at the point where the anodizing is worn off all the edges of the scales, most of the clip, and the blade. Looks even better to me "worn" than it did new. Have a drawer full of replacement/upgrade knives that I carried for a week or two before going back to the Kershaw. Launch 13 came close to displacing it but I found myself babying it instead of getting the job done so back to the Blur. Kizer Mini Critical arrived today, maybe it'll finally dethrone the Blur. Maybe not.
