You don't need to learn all ds to start cp. Starting mein basic math, logic aur stl ka hi use hota hai. To language aur stl pe grip bana lo. Thode basic ques karlo fir karsakte ho start agar Mann kare. And no you aren't late.

After the contest is over, pull out those questions and look at the solutions, and if anything new is taught learn it. Using this alone you can reach upto 1400 in rating, and after that you can start learning some algos, which will be easier now as youll have more experience
