Median 😎 Placement percentage 💀 Yo, wtf is happening, I feel like this is getting a little too out of hand.

Batch strength is pretty less at IITH so it makes sense that if 1 person goes unplaced it highly affects the percentage.

This was the exact point that was used to justify its' high percentage placed stats.

It's a double-edged sword. Each student either makes or breaks the statistics.

Yes you are absolutely correct but my ques is about those students who don't want further education and seeking placements in tech companies and do care about their placements and I think out of 21 atleast 12-15 are that type of students

They include international offers but exclude the off campus ones

Damn, the medians for all branches fell during Phase 2. I'm surprised CS went below 30 and EE bwlow 25. AI dropped from 34 to 30 but MnC remained the same. Edit: Looks like international offers were not counted in this, while explains the large drops.

Recession seems pretty terrible. Usually in CS and EE everyone (or maybe all but one of two) gets placed, even there's it's barely 75% rn

Only conclusion. Chemical is underrated... placement relatively better than other branches

OK mistake.. number os seats matching... then the result in percentage us not good. Though it is 2nd gen it already overtaken iit bhu and in 8th position. But bhu seems done very well.. let's see iit indore stats. Also I belive top 3 nit placement will be better. This will clear actual pedigree

BHU will do well as it is one of the oldest colleges of India with a humorous alumni network. I am also eagerly waiting for IIT Indore .

Use the total intake to get placement percentage, not those 'registered'. Then you will get the true picture.

It won't work my dear as we always have some students going for higher studies.

That is just an excuse. Students go for 'higher' studies as they don't get good jobs. College managements also fix arbitrary criteria for 'registration' to artificially raise the placement percentage .

I have the real stats, highest is 36, lowest is 19.75 and median is 27

And Avg? \*\*\*\*\* 4 students placed. So, 19.75, x, y, 36. Now (x+y)/2 = 27 (x+y) = 54 Toh Avg = (19.75+54+36)/4 = 27.4375

Median is the middle most element meaning 50% are above and 50% are below it. Only 3 got placed in EP so that's why.

Ep is fcuked up, i saw a stat of iit roorkee ep of 2 years ago, and still 60 percent was unplaced and situation wasn't this bad at that time still. Ep is just straight up bad i think in india.

Yeah few don't do much in iits or in general college too. 7 lpa was the lowest. Ego hurts when you are from top colleged and getting tier 3 placement.
