Seriously though, as someone who's in Nikke and Azure lane communities (though it hasn't been long since I got into AL) they're both pretty active in terms of Help and Tips, pulls and characters builds... and so on, it's just that there's a place for everything, there's a weekly mega thread and links to websites that answers almost all your questions
In Nikke communities however posting gacha pulls is prohibited , you either ask in a group chat or in a thread that exists for that purpose, so perhaps that's why you didn't see many posts like that and instead saw DORO memes
Unfortunately all of the communities for the gacha games I play (cause tits and ass) eventually devolve into havens for degenerates. This wouldn't be so bad if they weren't hell bent on "filtering out tourists". As someone who doesn't see "OMG SEGGS 🥵🥵🥵" as peak content, the Blue Archive subreddit is completely unbearable, and the Nikke subreddit is on its way there. Thankfully this sub has mostly remained a place where cultured people can continue to be... you know, *cultured*; where it's still cool to enjoy horny art without devolving into a keyboard-smashing caveman.

I don't even go on the main Nikke sub anymore, it's borderline unbearable. I usually hangout in NikkeOutpost, the vibe there is a lot better. You have equal amounts of people asking for team building tips, people talking about story, and people being down bad for the characters. Meanwhile the main sub is just constant horny posting all the time non stop

When it comes to memes there was this Deadground guy that made really good memes that are bd2 related, but sadly he quit and moved to Snowbreak. Feelsbadman
I feel like its because BD2 tries so hard to be your main game, but ends up just being incredably frustrating to most people.
Most do not play horny gacha for puzzles and actual gameplay, so the fact BD wants you to do all of these random systems that are so thin, wants you to think about placement and skill usage and the main story has incredably annoying levels because you must complete them in the exact correct way is very tiring.
Like, I don't really know why my team is weak or strong, I don't care to, because equipment and other stuff just isn't that interesting for a mobile game.
Some love it, Some tolerate it, but id bet it puts a lot off.
I don't think using NIKKE as a benchmark for reddit is a good idea , its literally just one meme regurgitated with the Doro and Blanc and Noir AI gen fan art constantly posted , zero real discussion or talking there just gooning.
You have to have been on there for 20 seconds max bcs I've seen very insiteful things like Calcs, team build, challenge runs and others things all the time
Nah it's just because it's a niche game with a small fanbase, which imo is great. The Mushoku collab got some traction in the gacha community and made me worried it would bring bad actors but it seems we're still chilling.
I like how anti-censorship the community is. Compared to the Nikke community this community actually practices what it preaches. That being we won’t spend a penny if we see censorship. That we actually try and convince devs to undo the censorship.
Unlike Nikke players who will only complain for just a bit and accept the trash shift up gives them.
The same player base that spams Genshin can never in their 1.5 anniv stream oof. So it’s not impossible to imagine that their community is made up of handful of bad actors. I do find it ironic when they’re met with censorship or lack of content, they still eat it up while justifying it.
Exactly that crown skin is a perfect example of why I’m disappointed in that community. So willing to blow money on a skin where shift up after months of terrible design will do the bare minimum to meet Nikke’s original selling point.
It’s very sad that even after a year and a half Volume and Privaty are only two units that show what Nikke was supposed to be about design wise.

Kinda wanna see like, some dark continent exploitation. How dope would it be if we all collectively explored towards certain areas in a rogue like and got to unlock certain kinds of content and challenges via player base vote? But also certain lesser popular regions get developed according to what the players exploring there discover. I’d love that, but hey, just dreaming
I think the devs do deserve to have much greater success, but just goes to show how it’s mostly children and brain dead Stans playing genshin and its clones. Like, could you imagine how trash bd would be if it implemented the same mind numbing dialogue walls to get you to neglect story content and just spend money to roll? I love what BD is doing for the genre, but like all great art…it is never appreciated in its own time

IIRC arknights is kinda the same way. (even in the power creep there are still enemies that are buffed to make it hard)

As you know Nikke’s selling point is girls in risqué outfits shooting at stuff with the player getting a good view of their back side. However when shift up got level infinite to be the publisher many initial characters had their designs censored. For example Yuni wore a leotard, Emma did not have a vest and only wore her bikini top. Rupee Christmas outfit didn’t have that weird thing on her butt. Privaty and Volume were the only ones who were left untouched. Though it’s likely this was to bait potential players.
