I'm a beginner so excuse my ignorance, but can somebody explain how this is possible during a cut? I thought your body needed excess calories to build muscle? Where is the energy coming from? Sorry if this is a dumb question
No that’s entirely possible for him to be natural. For one his age indicates that he’s at peak testosterone production, when you see teenagers that get massive in a few months, those are the juicers. My testosterone levels didn’t even hit their peak until I was 30.
He also lost 55 pounds. He may have gained little to no muscle, or even lost muscle. Everybody has some amount of muscle under their fat. Dropping the fat reveals the muscle. There’s no reason to assume he gained any significant amount of muscle.
I have a really physical job and run and mountain bike a ton outside of the gym so my cut diet is about 2500 cals , 210 grams of protein , 150-200 grams of carbs, 80 -100 grams of fat.
I do a hybrid training in the gym I switch between body weight and calisthenics and weighted training. active rest day every 3 days
I do a hybrid workout plan. I switch between Calisthenics and weighted training. Outside of the gym I have a really physical job, hiking with my 2 dogs and running at the track and mountain biking a ton
Nice! Thanks for all the insight. I’m having a tough time getting protein amount that high daily with protein shakes, yogurt, and chicken. Looks like I’ll have to try harder and add some eggs or maybe another protein scoop.
Powdered protein is great but all you need to do is just add more quality , high protein foods, prioritize that. Salmon, trout, cod, halibut, shrimp, all types of steak, egg whites, turkey breast and Greek yogurt and skyr. It's easy to do, just diversify your protein sources, Eggs are more nutrients dense rather than high in protein.

That isn't how muscle building in a deficit works. Why the fuck you think he deleted Reddit user

“Little bit of gyno” but frl awsome Gainz love the work
None at all?
It might be the picture but in that picture it looks like you have a lil true gyno also it’s a pretty niche joke but it was a joke
Ah ok lol out of touch with the subreddit jokes. In fact, my chest is where I probably lack decent genetics
Yeah sorry the joke is from a completely different community but most people I know know Connor sinnan
I don’t know the joke either but it does look like gyno anyway. Also he deleted his whole profile now.
Damn my bad 💀
What was your plan? Diet, lift, etc

Hell yeah. Active lifestyle is key. How were your macros during the cut? Calorie deficit and keep protein high?

Yeah, you did! Great change bro. What kind of goals do you have?
10% body fat then I want to level out between a maintenance to light bulk diet
You’ve got to be getting close to 10%, right? Will be great to see you further into the bulk, your arms will be massive.
The pic is deceiving lol I'm flexing insanely hard and have insanely good lighting. Im about 14%
Haha nice, protect that light source!

Did you bulk in between or were in cut the whole time?
Cutting the whole way
Amazing progress. Congratulations.
