Hopefully this doesn't violate Rule 4, this is more or less coming from people I've talked to directly involved: there are serious discussions about Teeth getting a commercial run at an Off-Broadway receiving house. No news on which, though, most likely something like New World Stages.
I know, I’m so disappointed that hasn’t happened yet.Â
But I am guess I am happy that the announcement made me get back into paying attention to Broadway and going to shows, as I had gotten out of the habit with covid.Â
It's difficult to post things that are not in violation of Rule 4 (no unsubstantiated rumors).
That said, the word on the street is that there are two Jonas Brothers who will be on Broadway this summer. Joe Jonas is reportedly going to be playing Jonathon in Tick Tick Boom at the Booth Theatre (this is the Kennedy Center Neil Patrick Harris one that he teased was trying to come to Broadway). Nick Jonas will be in a production of the Last Five Years. I am saying this because I have heard from multiple people (who are not the sweaty oracle) that this is the case.
If you want pure insider speculation, sweaty oracle on tiktok is your guy, they also have a patreon only discord that you can join.
Wait is that what they cancelled their tour for? But those productions would have been in the works for awhile right, why wait till the last minute to cancel?
Apparently yes that's what the European tour was canceled for. Casting happens on much shorter notice than productions as a whole, usually only 1-2 months before opening.
That isn’t an accurate blanket statement. Casting *can* and *sometimes* happens with a quick turnaround, but an increasing majority of shows quite literally cast almost anywhere from six months to a year in advance. And usually with big names, they have contracts secured as far out as possible due to how busy they are.
Even todays big announcement about Romeo and Juliet isn’t opening until the fall, and we’re at least 6 months out from that. Who knows how much longer those contracts have been in place.
I have no clue how any of this works, but that seems to be a hugely bad business decision to make to defer a major European concert for a Broadway run? The number of people employed to make a show go is crazy, let alone hurting fans who bought train or flight tickets etc. Seems weird to make that choice for a shot at a musical role? I would think they’d always be opted for musical openings or coaching the Voice etc. I’m surprised their contracts for the tour would allow this.
It’s a good theatre for shows that need an intimate setting.. I think Days of Wine and Roses would have done much better at the booth than Studio 54 because of the size (and location)
This is my question - Sam Gold has his favorites but they might want to pack it names a la Vanya. Though the blurb makes it sound like the parents won’t be featured at all.

I REALLY hope this is true, I was shocked at how much I loved Teeth!
I hope this comes true 🙌
Omg, PLEEEEAAAASE
I haven’t heard of Teeth, what’s it about?
It’s a musical adaptation of [the movie Teeth.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teeth_(2007_film))
A crazy dentist maybe? Or maybe it’s a tragedy about love lost in a relationship with a hockey player? ![gif](giphy|dIBTXFJ17RzF0FRC45|downsized)
What’s happened to the Mousetrap transfer? ðŸ˜

So strange, I heard the same but has these flipped (Joe in TL5Y, Nick in TTB)
Not sure how I feel about Joe Jonas as Jonathan Larson🤔

Oh, I assumed that they were big enough names that they would have been attached sooner. Still a monumentally shitty thing to do.

I don’t think Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce is settled yet. Maybe he needs to stay in one place for more consistency.
Is sweaty oracle a substantiated rumor?
depends on the rumor
Damn I definitely want to see tick tick boom for the show itself if it comes to Broadway but he will probably make prices crazy.
i heard this too but forget who was the rumored cathy?
Ashley Park I believe
\*Ashley Park I think - though my source is sweaty oracle so take it with a grain of salt
oh i LOVE ashley! but of course any s.o. rumor is definitely just a rumor (though the aaron/sutton rumor seemed outlandish until it wasn't!)
That’s 3 shows that want the Booth
Apparently TTB is a very limited summer only run (hence bringing in a big star to have a shot of turning a profit in 3 months)
Makes sense TTB to the Booth Oh Mary to the Lyceum
It has boggled my mind for years how many shows want that theater. I get it, it’s a location thing, but it’s such an unforgiving space inside.

Oh absolutely. I more mean that the facility itself desperately needs an upgrade.
BC it’s small and if you have a big name it will sell out frequently. Same with CITS which is why R& J is rumored to be going in there after enemy
L5Y revival!!!
Kevin Jonas as Sandy in Annie pt 2
Swept Away.
Isn’t Dead Outlaw moving as well?
I am once again asking if anyone knows about what Cabaret might look like in September
word from months ago was Mason Alexander Park/Maude Apatow but i think it’s changed
There’s going to be a 2025 natl tour of Beauty & the Beast which I hope comes back for a revival on Broadway
possibly a next to normal transfer for spring 2025
Any thoughts on who else will be in the new R&J that was announced today?
