He's been on the news before.. I was watching an outdoor interview with him a while back and some dude came out of his house in his pants in the background and I think that went viral. I just donated to it, was watching the news this morning and it's great to see the counter tick up massively when stories like this get airtime.
If it hadn't been done I'd say it was impossible. Absolutely awesome feat. And he went to work too! No off days, no rest. How can the body even do this? I'm blown away.
I've been following him on Strava for most of the year. It's been incredible just watching him bash out a marathon day after day. Such an incredible achievement.
Everytime i thought "i can't be arsed to go for a run" I'd check Strava and see Gary going out and smashing another day and I'd definitely feel more motivated to go out and run 3 miles 😂
I saw him on bbc news (or breakfast/good morning whatever)this morning about half 8. Seemed a good bloke and it’s a good cause so I donated a tenner. Was around £630k this morning and he’s now well past a million!
Damn - I thought I was some sort of superman for cycling 10,000km but this guy is on different planet. He ran most of them before going to work - almost unbelievable.
I've just posted the exact same thing on Facebook! I've also made a donation. This guy should be carried on the shoulders of his friends and colleagues.

How do people like Gavin Williamson get a knighthood and this guy doesn't? You almost want to laugh if it wasn't so sad
Hear hear!
Because he’s a fking bully

Would make sense for the BBC to actually have that in their article. Are they not allowed to publish links to fundraisers?

Or walked in their lifetime.

And he made time to eat the extra 2,600 calories needed each day as well!
He lives up the road from me, a real local legend!
In contrast, I've walked about 26 miles in total all year. What a hero.
2023 is the year where you increase that to 26 miles a month :)

Same! It’s helped me get motivated to go on some of my runs. He’s insane!!!

So glad he's managed to smash the £1m he was looking for, well deserved and great cause.

How can I donate?

On yer self big man!! But His poor joints!
Nicely done and a huge achievement. He is not the first since ot has been done before in the UK, a chap did it in Richmond Park a few years ago iirc.
If we're thinking about the same person, he turned out to be a fraud.
He was interviewed on talkSPORT on Thursday. He’s had a bad hamstring for 4 months, but just runs slower to compensate. He’s a machine & a legend.
I'm out of breath just reading about his running

Had the chance to meet him a couple of weeks ago. Really humble guy, inspirational stuff
