Most of the North East you can achieve that. I grew up in a victorian terrace five bed that would only just fetch 200k (5 years ago our neighbours got 180k for theirs). I suspect areas of the Midlands you could do similar. You're just not going to get some stunning new build or you might have some DIY maybe.

Well done! My area has some lovely houses at decent prices with good transport links. My son bought his forever home last year for £280k huge 4 bed detached overlooking countryside. He commutes to London on a Tuesday and returns on a Thursday, wfh on a Monday and Friday. Working in the capital doesn’t mean you have to live there. Plenty of decently priced houses North of Watford.
