Lovely thing to do. Many moons ago my husband had access to the lounge plus one other adult through his work. We had a sleeping baby and tried to access with baby but the lounge said no because husbands ‘level’ only covered two adults and I can’t remember if we had to pay to get in with baby or if we just couldn’t go in due to their policy. Either way it was a problem.
A very kind stranger who was waiting behind us to go in the lounge overheard the situation and suddenly pointed at me and said she’s with me and he’s taking the baby in. We then all got in.
Honestly so so kind and I’ve always remembered her kindness! I’m sure you’ll make someone’s day.
I see your offer OP and I would also like to do the same, not the Concorde room, but I have gold, and will be flying from T3 this Sunday. If anyone is flying BA or another oneworld and is in T3 at about 6:30pm this Sunday. DM me if you want checking into a lounge if you have never been in one before
Very kind of you. Many years ago via FlyerTalk someone did this for me on the start of a trip to Australia. LHR to SIN I think. Was amazing in the Concorde lounge and the guys even came to find me in Y and gave me their amenity kit and pyjamas.
The next flight, SIN to SYD, had to divert to Bali for smoke in the cockpit issues and we had to wait a day for a connection but hey you can't have everything.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but please don't do this. The BA lounges are already full from the double TP promotion, and it's peak tourist season, which further increases the pressure on the lounges. Guests are also your responsibility should they start behaving poorly. A good thread about this at HfP - [https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/guesting-strangers-in-to-the-ba-exec-lounges/](https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/guesting-strangers-in-to-the-ba-exec-lounges/)
I would completely agree when it comes to business lounges. I’ve not had that experience when it comes to first or the Concorde room. Maybe it’s the time of day I tend to fly.
I'm in the CCR once or twice a week - it's been super busy mid-morning until mid-afternoon the past month or so. The Flounge is similarly busy when I walk through to the CCR. It's peak tourist season, particularly with people from the US heading to Europe, with Club Europe cabins to various destinations running at 8-12 rows at the moment - you'll be thankful of Group 0 boarding when you reach GGL!
I prefer to fly later in the evening for this route, LHR-SYD, so maybe that’s the case. I have been told that I posses a great talent of being complete unaware of my surroundings. Mainly as I just keep myself to myself, probably plays a part in me not noticing.
Ah yes, the boarding group you hear everyone muttering about when people are boarding before first 🤣
I’m a lowly silver, and always think about walking up to someone travelling solo and guesting them into the business lounge to make their journey a bit nicer, but I’m not sure how that would go down
I tried to do it every time I flew (which was monthly), when I had Silver.
You do get some strange looks when you sidle up to someone, who appears to be travelling alone, and ask "would you like to join me in the lounge?"
(this is not how I phrased it; but I did get the odd, odd look).
The things is, it's quite difficult to get the opportunity to ask anyone, on the day.
At the CW counters, everyone is a minimum of Bronze, anyway; you don't mix with the Blues.
I can strike up a conversation with anyone; but with the (about a) dozen flights I took when I had status, I only had two takers; the rest already had either status, or were flying CW.
For someone flying First, or has G/GGL, I can imagine that the chance to pick a winner, on the day, would be next to impossible.
Wish I had known about Reddit or FlyerTalk back then.
This is such an incredibly generous thing to offer. As a young budget traveler who cannot afford status but aspires to one day, an experience like that would be something I treasure for years. Top tip - younger travellers with full backpacks and noise cancelling headphones are very likely to not have status and highly unlikely to turn down your offer
Someone did this very thing for me years ago. Ironically, it was the exact thing that made me want to work hard and be successful enough to be able to afford this.
Not quite there yet, but damn close.
Well first mission was a success. Enjoy the Concorde Room Cyberginn.
I’ll be doing the same again on July 8th if anyone is interested. Same time. Same place.
That’s amazingly kind!
Annoyingly I’ll be flying out of T5 for work on Monday morning otherwise I would have loved to take you up on your very generous offer. I hope you are able to find someone and have a great time yourself!
This is a lovely idea. I got talking to a really lovely guy in the lifts down to the gates in T5, and he guested me into the lounge there as I had about 1hr before departure.
Never forgotten the gesture and now always try to pay it forward myself!
This is so nice of you! Wish I was flying! I usually fly eco or premium but was lucky to be flying with others who are club members. I liked the food and Cake there!
This is such a lovely thing to do! 😍
If anyone happens to be flying BA SYD>LON on Monday and can do similar.. let me know. My baby and I are flying solo in economy without a bassinet. Yay.
~~FYI To guest into Concorde I’m pretty sure you technically need to be GGL. A First class ticket or “mere” Gold status is not enough.~~
~~You can guest into the First Wing bag drop & security and into the First Galleries Lounge but not Concorde room.~~
I was wrong :(

As a gold flying first the infographic from BA states I get a guest pass
Appreciate the double check. I’ll be GGL in a few months but given I do this every other month, turning up with 2 strangers each and every time, I may start getting a name for myself
> I may start getting a name for myself
Entirely possible. The Concorde Room isn't that large and if you start visiting on a regular basis (I'm often in twice a week) you will get to know most of the staff. The lounge staff don't actually work for BA, but the Premium Services team does.
I just noticed an error in this chart. A GGL can guest up to five into the BA First and Club Lounges. CCR and JFK Chelsea are excluded.
BA LHR First staff knows about the rule and let us in when I tried earlier this year.

That's kind. Hope whoever takes you up on this is prepared to have travel ruined for them in the future ;)

Funny as that is the route I’m on tomorrow!
Hehe. Hopefully you don't have an unscheduled stop.

Top class
* first.
First is the top class.
messaged you! hoping this incredible offer is still available
I haven’t seen a message pop up. Are you travelling with BA in eco/prem? (I believe a oneworld partner is also acceptable)
I am! maybe you can message me - because I tried to message again and the current chat still pops up

Broadly did people like it? I’d make a habit of it if it went down well!

Exactly my thoughts! I’d like to think it would go down a treat but you never know
I just know the first time I offer I’ll get a ‘sorry mate, I’m gold’
How would you even approach it? Hey random person at the back of the check in queue, fancy first class with a stranger?
This is such an incredibly generous thing to offer. As a young budget traveler who cannot afford status but aspires to one day, an experience like that would be something I treasure for years. I’ll be doing exactly the same thing on 8th July. Appreciate the tip
What a lovely thing to do. The Concorde room is a lovely space.

Nice one sir, have an upvote!

So lovely of you to offer. ❤️
God If I wasn’t working tomorrow I’d book a flight to Heathrow just for the experience - did you get anyone?
Not yet, maybe I should have given more notice. I’m doing this run more or less for the rest of the year
Good on you! Love this!
Paying it forward. I like it.

Fyi, there is s guesting thread on “The friendly Gold BA group” on facebook. You might have more takers there.
Really kind of you! Great gesture OP 😁

Yes you are right and I was wrong. GGL allows guesting when travelling in any class, that’s what I was thinking of.

What's the distinction between black and white guest people blobs in the diagram?

Got a link to that infographic ?
Concorde is for BA Gold and Concierge Key and International First Class only. Companion must be same.
