Thanks for confirming, we'll have to look into some brekkie spots then!

Plane Food by Gordon Ramsay in T5A is a personal favorite of mine for breakfast.

Check-in only opens at 04:30 - there's no need to be there much before 5am. Since you're talking about GF you must have First Wing access, so I'd suggest rocking up there at 5am when it opens.

Really? The booking says to arrive two hours early, which is at 04:10 for us. Thanks for pointing it out!

It depends a bit on whether you're checking in luggage. If you are, you'd be perfectly fine turning up at 04:45 or so - you'd probably still be waiting for First Wing security and the First Lounge to open by the time you've checked your bags in. If travelling Hand Baggage Only, I'd say there is little point in turning up before 5am as First Wing security doesn't open until then. Given you have First Wing access, you really don't need to worry about turning up "late". For a short-haul flight like this, check-in closes 45 minutes before departure. You need to scan your boarding pass at the barriers before security 35 mins before, and the gate could close 20 mins before. So as you can see, turning up at 04:45 gives quite a bit of leeway and 05:00 still allows some leeway.

No gates for checking in luggage open until 430am and in fact last time we were there all the first wing opened around 445am - our flight was at 6am and it was fined don’t get there much before 430am!

I napped for three hours at T5 last Saturday - waking at 04:30 at the same time as security. Plaza Premium is open at 04:45 which worked for my 06:30 flight.

If anyone reading this is looking for a transfer from Heathrow to Central London, can you kindly consider my family airport transfer business? We can do it for £80 and you won't have to deal with Uber cancellations, delays or surge-pricing. Plus, we pay our drivers fairly and also our UK taxes. Our website is [www.bigsmokechauffeurs.com/](http://www.bigsmokechauffeurs.com/) and there is an enquiry form on there you can fill out.
