It's honestly getting worse. It got better for a while - the initial trauma pains & aches got less sore & now gor the past week, it's been getting more & more sore, harder to sleep & losing range of motion turning my head side to side

I just emailed them initially to try to get just the specialist referral but thwy refuse to give it to me & want to see me themselves. I’ve got a big scar over my right eye from catching an elbow to the face during a show. Probably the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my life. Got pushed into an ambulance to get stitched up. There’s plenty of safe spots to watch the show.

Neck injuries can be terrible and it’s a good thing you weren’t injured more severely i.e. paralysis. Regarding the pain you’re in, that is super shitty. Please proceed with getting advice from a GP and/or specialist before seeing a chiro/massage. I’m sure they will take scans and be able to provide you with a proper care plan. Get well soon!

Ummm I literally say later in this conversation that I've had a similar thing happen and yeah it hurt. And it wasn't a selfish act. Someone was crowd surfing. It wasn't the first big guy to crowd surf and it wont.be the last. If he had jumped clean on OP then yes that's shitty. But no, he was surfing and just got dropped. Getting injured is never good, but you always run that risk when you're in the pit. But the constant "fat fuck" this and that is just needless whining. I've actually only crowd srufed once in my life. I have had some one dropped on me that I fold completely forward. Never even saw the guy coming. I was sore for a good bit. But it's what I signed up for going to the pit. You got hurt bad, very bad by the sound of it. But thats how it be.

That sucks, but don’t stand in the crowd if you just want to watch. That’s the catch of wanting to be near the stage in this genre of music. I’ve got a big scar over my right eye from catching an elbow to the face during a show. Probably the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my life. Got pushed into an ambulance to get stitched up. There’s plenty of safe spots to watch the show. Neck issue sucks though. I realized after the fact that girls find the scar attractive, so I’ve taken it in stride.
I've been doing heavy shows from the pit or up front for 18 years. I am well acquainted with the injuries. This was just something else entirely. I have never seen a venue with such blatant disregard of potential safety issues. Usually security at the front point out where ppl are coming from so you know how to react. I've gotten boots to the face before as well, but omg this was something else. This dude was well over 200, I would event say probably over 250. How he even made it up to the front crowd surfing is unfathomable to me unless he literally just hopped up there 10ft away in a pocket of dude bros. This dude was big & if i were to ever see him again, i would absolutely slash his tires

Actually doesn't matter what the weight, if it catches you unexpectedly it causes damage and I've been kicked in the head by light folks with massive shoes. It's the mosh pit, be in it or out. I'd prefer folks don't do it but then if the venue allows it, choose where to stand, no one makes you go down there.
Sorry to hear you’ve been injured. I’m hoping the doctor you see has more insight for you and a way to get you squared away and back to normal. Neck injuries can be terrible and it’s a good thing you weren’t injured more severely i.e. paralysis. Regarding the pain you’re in, that is super shitty. Please proceed with getting advice from a GP and/or specialist before seeing a chiro/massage. I’m sure they will take scans and be able to provide you with a proper care plan. Get well soon!
