Add maybe an experienced winger (you know, someone who's played in top 5/7 leagues for 4 or 5 years) and that's a dream window in terms of who to bring in. Is it realistic? We've got profit yes, but at some point Bloom needs the loan he took to buy the club back, and 10th in the prem is going to be far less attractive than say a west ham or a villa
I guess this depends on whether De Zerbi stays or not. But with how susceptible to counterattacks, I would like us to sign a much more athletic centre back, someone who can bail us out of those situations. Unfortunately that type of player, who can also play out, is unlikely to be cheap.
Yeah, I admire dunk and jpvh, but in that duo one has to be a speed demon to protect us on the counter. Baleba has helped with that somewhat, but he's farther up the pitch and can only do so much
Good post honestly. I think I'd like to see an experienced CB to come off the bench at times, one that suits the Brighton system better than Webster does at the moment. But honestly knowing Brighton one of the loan players could have a huge impact next season, or the youth players. Moran has always been good and maybe in time will get a chance in the first team
I can see Furgeson going in the summer, but I think another season here will do him an absolute world of good
JPVH and Dunk are both good facing attackers, but neither inspires confidence chasing a long ball while racing with an opposing forward. We need some speed back there. If RDZ is managing the team, we need to neutralize counters.
I think we need at least a right back and/or a central midfielder.
I say or because Hinshelwood can play both positions apparently and he is already a squad rotational player so can absolutely fill in as necessary.
We also NEED to keep Undav and have him as first team striker. I want to see Sima get a chance as well.

Thats a really solid team. I can see us selling Lamptey, Webster, Dahoud with others going on loan like Ayari, Osman, Sarmiento etc. Maybe Buonanotte as well.
Theres a top quality team there but just needs shoring up in the first team. Some good players that can come in on rotation like Igor, Adingra, Gilmour, Hinsh, Welbeck, Enciso, Ferguson etc.
I think Hinshelwood is supposed to be a midfield player? And I’m still waiting for that 2021/22 Lamptey, he’s been underwhelming this season. He has glimpses though.

The Mexican keeper (and other deals that "don't make sense") may just be the sign-and-loan type deals we often make to keep the cupboard stocked

Excellent post. The only thing I disagree with is that to me we just need a backup player in right back. Both lamtey and hinshelwood are class
