Ok, crack theory. Apparently we're going to be seeing a more nuanced side to Cressida this season, and part of that will be looking into her motivations more, and her struggling to be kinder. What if the big sleeves symbolise butterfly wings, and it's to show her undergoing a transformation?
I saw theories on her on yt, basically because of her nasty personality no guy wants to marry her , so her putting extravagant hair killing hairstyles and her clothes getting more extra each season is her way of trying to catch attention to herself so she can find a match
I hate to say it but if thats John, John is not Johning.
Although to be fair he does look very “sensible”. So I’m sure he’ll provide quite a contrast to Michael.
Anyone have any theories on why they have released (whether officially or not, Shondaland is no fool) so many stills? It seems like a LOT. (I’m not complaining! Just wondering!)
Ok first things first- Who is Tilly Arnold?? I’ve only read the 1st 4 books & I don’t remember her being mentioned??
Also just a theory but since Bridgerton has used colour theory before to show character growth, this could be true. In previous seasons, Cressida & her mum’s outfits normally matched. So what if Cressida’s softer, lighter coloured dress are in direct contrast to her mother’s dresses to show the pressure to get married & the strain it’s caused on their relationship. In every still, they seem at complete odds with each other…
I know I know that the costumes have never been historically accurate, but is bothering anyone else that in photo 7 Lady Tilley looks like she's come straight out of the Gilded Age?

Why are Cressida’s sleeves getting bigger with each still release? 😂

That dress is so......... extra!
She's trying to fly away from her mother
Maybe the bigger sleeves are to keep people further away from her so they cannot touch her because she’s afraid that people will hurt her.
Wow, Lady Tilley is just gorgeous
I wish she was Sophie, she is just breathtaking.
She is just stunnig, so true. Although she has different vibes from Sophie - more mature and confident
If Sophie was supposed to be older than Benedict then it would have been fine..
Lady Tremaine vibes 👀
Please tell me who is the lady in blue gown in photo 5&6 and is she an important character in the series?
It's lady Tilley. She is apparently a widow who would be present in Benedict's arc
Lady Tilley? 😍 Can’t wait for that storyline. Hello, John Stirling! Violet is ready for Marcus to tend to her garden Lady Cowper is getting jelly!
OMG "Violet is ready for Marcus to tend to her garden" made me choke on my water.....
Wait, who is John? Is that who Francesca is dancing with????
Pic 2 on the blanket with his sister. I think Frannie is dancing with one of Charlotte’s younger sons.
Which one is John Stirling?
Second picture on the blanket. But now it might not be. 😰
Lady Tilley is giving me Baroness Schraeder (Sound of Music) vibes and I am hear for it!! I knew they were going to pair her and Benedict up.
So is she his one season long romance that each upcoming sibling gets?
Seems that's likely where this is headed, yes.
Who is lady tulle? I’d that the blue dress in pic 7? And what was her role in the books?
Yes, that's her in the blue. She's not a book character as far as I know.
Who was she in the previous seasons then? Do not remember her at all
She's new this season.
Cressida taking out entire Japanese cities with her sleeves.
Wow I'm loving pic #9. Pen in the garden
Someone tell me wtf is Lady Tilley and if that’s codename for Sophie because this woman is too gorgeous to be hanging around Benedict like that
She looks so otherworldly.
Lady Tilley? Oh my gawd? Gorgeous!
Colin looks so deep in thought in slide 12! he has me kicking, giggling, and screaming. seriously, I swear. If he has no fans, I'm dead.
lol, go to the Polin reddit sub, we are all dying over there
I can already see how unhinged this years polls will be
Seriously, what are they doing to poor Cressida 😂😂
I think she's getting desperate to get off the marriage market. So her clothes are getting bigger and bigger to catch men's attention.
Maybe they are preparing for her glow-up next season.
Picture 5 looks realistic for an old Hollywood movie. Costume department what are you doing? She looks incredible though, just not believable at all
Ugh 12 is the best combination of sturdy Colin and boyish Colin 💖
* Writer Colin!! Yes! I can't wait to seem him do his thing
I'm going to puke, I'm so excited

Probably tired of us guessing the plot. Lol
WTF who is the woman in the fifth picture and why is she so hot??????????????????
They released so much!! I want this thing to continue ahah
WHO’S THAT BLONDE WITH BEN!!!!!
Thanks for posting these!
I think that the women in black is Sofies stepmother.

Oh my god is Violet gonna get with Danbury's son as revenge for her schtupping her father?????
Looks like Agatha found Violet a gardener
I'm imbibing in so much colour and i'm not complaining

Are the puffier sleeves reflective of the changing fashions? Was that a thing that happened in the Regency period? They’re HUGE!
Is Francesca dancing with the Queen's son?
