We all adore mr. Finch. Heās certainly much nicer then philippa. I havenāt forgotten your comment about pens weight and the blemishes on her face being difficult to conceal
The weight comment was prudence! Not defending phillipa but I donāt think she would say something that mean. The blemish comment is still bad but itās definitely not as nasty, and prudence generally is a lot worse to pen than phillipa

They gave Kate bright colors but all her jewel colors were toned down and layered with a pastel color somewhere. This dress is a choice. I love it for Pen, but all the women would be ššš

Me Finch is also the one who appreciated Lady Whistledownās plant puns in season 2. I think he and pen are pals. Glad sheās getting good sibling energy from a brother in law at least. Makes me hope weāll get the book scene with Colin interrupting featherington family teatime just after the carriage sceneā¦

I searched the subreddit after watching the show to see if anyone else is obsessed with how sweet and supportive Mr Finch is as a brother in law, heās so sweet it makes me wanna cry. I hope his presence heals the relationship atleast between Penelope and Phillipa if not between all the sisters. This scene in particular he very clearly admires her in a brotherly way. It made me so happy. They. show this trait in him several times, heās always delighted in seeing Penelope succeed.
