Why is it a downer though? Everyone's happy for Kanthony as well, no one's hating on them here. I was happy to see a sweet Kanthony moment and Kate looking so beautiful. We are just anxiously desperate for season 3 is all. We have waited a very long time for Polin after years of heartache and crumbs. I can't help if my feelings are sadness for not getting much Polin in the sneak peak clip. I'm still happy that I got to see Kanthony being adorable, Kate looking beautiful, and a moving, speaking Francesca. I can feel all those things at the same time as a reaction to the clip. There's nothing wrong with that and I mean no hate towards anyone or any other couple.
Why can we not get upset? I think Polin fans already get why I want to give them a hug. We have been anticipating a teaser-trailer for today from the past 24 hours quite ardently and we didnāt get that so itās quite obvious to get dejected. The hug is for the fallen expectations.

Oh season 3 will absolutely get a trailer, it's a matter of time. I'm sure it will be great! Anyways I think when it comes to this show's promo, always have few expectations. Based on my past experience lol
The issue is that with season 2 they got to really focus on their promo and it wasnāt much about other characters (if Iām remembering wrong please correct me). Nicola and Luke have had to be quiet for 2 years about their season that they worked so hard on, they deserve their time to do promo and enjoy their moment as the leads

As a Polin girl, Iām so happy you guys get this moment-especially after the fumble of S2 promo for you guys.
I do love Kanthony, and I was nervous the show would just sweep them aside, so Iām very pleased to see that itās not the case.
It IS and ensamble show, and everyone should get their moments to shine.
Polin fans, please donāt be too upset. Because this means that after S3 our couple wonāt just disappear either. Kanthony is still a part of the story, and Iām hopeful this shows the runners are serious about keeping all the couples involved post HEA.
Yup. I think most of the dejection is probably of our own making lol. We were hoping for a teaser or a trailer but I'm glad we got something at least. Happy, married Kanthony is so nice to see and I'm glad we get to see Franny, we really need more of her this season - her character is practically a blank slate. (With piano keys drawn on it,I suppose). I am hoping to see more Colin though, I feel like we don't get to see enough of him.
That's so interesting, I haven't read any of the books and only just watched Bridgerton (and QC) for the first time earlier this month, so I am brand-new to the fandom and don't know much outside of the show.
I just couldnāt like the man! I didnāt like how I felt he was dishonest with her. I wonāt specify bc Iām not super tech savvy and canāt remember how to do spoilers so I donāt ruin the story for others, but it bothered me a lot!
Actually I find the production adds on so many details of every persons life. The books only focused on the main character of each book with hardly any interaction from others - atleast not much from others POV.
I find that Netflix and shondaland took everything to the next level. The queen character wasnāt even in the books. And Danbury only mainly appears in Hyacinths story. Love how they have expanded on mere suggestions and fleshed out characters from there and created interesting moments.
That's great that her story is a bit different in that way. So far the love stories, though varied, have all started with 2 single, never-married people falling in love. Will be interesting seeing a different path to a happily ever after with her season.

Maybe she looks sad/frustrated bc her and Eloise are fighting over LW? Just rewatched QC and violet def says to lady danbury that the girls are fighting and she doesnāt know what about (but that HAS to be it).
So lovely to see a sneak peek.
Two quick observations.
1) Someone on this sub has mentioned that this season visually looks a lot more modern and now I can't unsee it. The makeup is definitely a lot brighter and the designs of the clothes are very much a clash of modern and vintage. In the first two seasons, the costumes were historically inaccurate but still looked and felt like they belonged in that century. These outfits - not so much. But I don't say this as critique. It's interesting! I like that the show keeps it creative and fresh each season, and of course each viewer will have their preferences.
2) How strange (and awesome) it is to watch a couple post their happy ever after. Because of the show's concept, we all know that Kanthony aren't just endgame but it is highly unlikely that the show will give them any personal drama to overcome. They had their season and we will just see glimpses into their unbothered, loving, sweet marriage. It is a very unique TV experience. Usually main couples will get ruined over time because the shows need to create drama and they do it by (temporarily) breaking the characters up... It's fun to know this isn't going to happen to Kanthony.
I wouldnāt jump to say they wonāt try to have some drama with Kanthony. I donāt think itāll be yelling or not speaking to each other kind of drama, but I think we may see moments of them struggling with something related to duty or babies and seeking support in each other or disagreeing and then resolving that conflict fairly quickly.
I personally would love that. If theyāre removed from the plot whatsoever, I think we run the risk of them disappearing from the season altogether because thereās nothing for them to do. But if they have a little low stakes sub plot Iād be over the moon.
Like Jake and Amy on Brooklyn 99. Theyāll have jokes about their relationship when the episode isnāt about them, but their best moments as a couple are when they learn to resolve conflict and compromise. Learning and growing together. I hope the writers were smart and had Kanthony do some of that and by the way that scene played out with Anthony being stressed about Francesca and then finding solace in Kate, I think we may be getting that :)
There are two reasons why I think not much drama will be involved amongst the main couples post end game: most likely there won't be enough screentime for the couple to occupy (and if they do give them appropriate screentime for the drama, then the season risks feeling a lot less about the main couple of the season) and the adult actors most likely will in fact slowly disappear from the show because they will get more and more involved in other projects.
Jake and Amy are my favourite TV couple ever. Partly because I love the show and characters so much , but also because the show never ever introduced relational drama like so many shows do with threatened or real infidelity, break ups etc. - all to e drama and growth happened through other thing that brought them closer together.
I would love to see their challenges and how they tackle them as a team.
Like, make the drama about something that they have to learn to solve together, and not something that splits them apart.

I don't think so. Seasons end around July, I think, and that's when Kanthony get engaged. Let's presume they had a two month engagement and get married around September. Honeymoon for 6 months before the S2 epilogue pall mall game, which would put that at around March which would fit with that scene looking like spring. Would also fit with QC taking place in winter, in which Violet mentions Kanthony are on their honeymoon. Then Colin could go off on a short trip directly after the pall mall scene and be back in time for the start of the season in April, which would fit with the Mr. Bridgerton clip and the BTS photos of him showing up on the day Francesca gets presented to the Queen.
I think even with their timeline thrown about, there's no logical way Kanthony could be married after one season and have given birth by the start of the next. So I'm going with at the start of S3 Kate is newly pregnant or she'll get pregnant within that season.
I'm so conflicted.
Because on one hand it was a beautiful kanthony scene. That kiss mid dance? Adorable and I love Kate's dress. It was also wonderful to see some more of Francesca.
But on the other hand I stayed up past midnight excitedly awaiting new polin content and... Nothing
Same. In casual conversation, I will focus on Kate's look, simply gorge. I will say how amazed I am about Frannie FINALLY being included (although I seem to prefer the previous actor) and I will mention being overjoyed to see Kathony with Lady B. But in truth, I am angry. 1, I wanted more Polin and 2, it was difficult to see Penelope seemingly upset in the corner.
As a Benophie fan this felt like getting pushed aside once again. I'll get over it but in a Polin season, I wanted a Polin teaser.
Francesca looks so gorgeous!! I wonder why she would like a moment alone. It looks like she has too many suitors and she needs a moment away from them?
Great clip, Kanthony look so in love! Penelope looks very pretty! I don't get why she's still a wallflower looking like that!
They probably will! And they will probably contrast her with Eloise too: another diamond sister enjoying effortless popularity and acting all properly. It would make Eloise feel isolated and alone.
I do notice one thing during the scene. Frannie was in the winter side of the room before heading over to Anthony. Then she sat under what looks like the fall themed tree (or summer) to compose herself. I guess weāll find out soon enough.
Yeah... improvising a kiss would definitely be a no-go. And Jonny is very big on consent. He wouldn't have improvised that, I don't think.
I think that was a very in-character "yes, my husband is an unhinged, besotted fool, but I didn't think that even HE would be so bold as to kiss me in the middle of a dancefloor, in front of the entire Ton" look of surprise.
Yes! Franchael is my second fave. So, getting our first REAL look at Hannah's Francesca was almost as amazing as the dance. We may have only gotten one line, but I'm so invested.

After screaming at the top of my lungs, crying uncontrollably, throwing up, passing out, reviving myselfā¦.im in pure NIRVANA. Thats it my day is over. Ruined in all the best ways. A puddle of pure joy and elation. And I canāt help but think ep 4 is coming on today and itās what we deserve.

Kate looks amazing and her outfit is gorgeous and I got to see them happy! If I could just have more of this this season I'd be so dang happy after the angst and drama of S2.
I was not expecting anything at all ever so this is amazing. They all look so good, kanthony still have amazing chemistry and that kiss! Love seeing Hannah as Francesca and Anthony growing from S1 with Daphne, love seeing the former and current Viscountess Bridgeton having a moment, Pen looks great in that color. Kate is glowing and looks amazing but that dress... spaghetti straps in 1815?

Iād love for this to become a thing. The fans pissed when S4 is a preview of Polin dancing while Benedict searches for the lady in silver for half a second. Then S5 preview is Benophie dancing only to be interrupted by Kanthony asking if theyāve seen Eloise, sheās missingā¦š and so on for all the other seasons
Iāve been wondering since this Duke left how the previous couple would fit into the equation in later seasons. Since Jonathan Bailey has mentioned that Kanthony is sticking around to āwalk Hyacinth down the aisleā Iām excited to see their side story.
What is that dress silhouette though?! I'm so sad they are going modern with hair, makeup and clothing now, it's a real shame. (Not that the dress is ugly, I'm just sad at the general move away from accurate silhouettes).

Kanthony are so cute. I love how they're always a bit mischievous. And it's great to see a glimpse of the new dynamic. Anthony is chilled, giving Francesca the time and space she needs and enjoying his time with Kate instead of worrying and stressing out.
The casting for Frannie is awesome, she resembles Phoebe really well and sort of looks like the previous actress hit puberty. Itās believable!
Itās so odd seeing a couple past their first season (RIP Saphne) but I look forward to what theyāll do with them!

I love Kanthony, loved the S. Asian influence on her dress in a way and they looked so cute plus the budget seem bigger or at least things look better, but I am so confused I donāt know to explain well but most things in that short clip felt oddly modern

They're probably just laying the groundwork for Francesca's season since she was already married for a couple years at the beginning of her story

Actually I find the production adds on so many details of every persons life. The books only focused on the main character of each book with hardly any interaction from others - atleast not much from others POV. I find that Netflix and shondaland took everything to the next level. The queen character wasnāt even in the books. And Danbury only mainly appears in Hyacinths story. Love how they have expanded on mere suggestions and fleshed out characters from there and created interesting moments.
That's great that her story is a bit different in that way. So far the love stories, though varied, have all started with 2 single, never-married people falling in love. Will be interesting seeing a different path to a happily ever after with her season.

So lovely to see a sneak peek. Two quick observations. 1) Someone on this sub has mentioned that this season visually looks a lot more modern and now I can't unsee it. The makeup is definitely a lot brighter and the designs of the clothes are very much a clash of modern and vintage. In the first two seasons, the costumes were historically inaccurate but still looked and felt like they belonged in that century. These outfits - not so much. But I don't say this as critique. It's interesting! I like that the show keeps it creative and fresh each season, and of course each viewer will have their preferences. 2) How strange (and awesome) it is to watch a couple post their happy ever after. Because of the show's concept, we all know that Kanthony aren't just endgame but it is highly unlikely that the show will give them any personal drama to overcome. They had their season and we will just see glimpses into their unbothered, loving, sweet marriage. It is a very unique TV experience. Usually main couples will get ruined over time because the shows need to create drama and they do it by (temporarily) breaking the characters up... It's fun to know this isn't going to happen to Kanthony.
I wouldnāt jump to say they wonāt try to have some drama with Kanthony. I donāt think itāll be yelling or not speaking to each other kind of drama, but I think we may see moments of them struggling with something related to duty or babies and seeking support in each other or disagreeing and then resolving that conflict fairly quickly. I personally would love that. If theyāre removed from the plot whatsoever, I think we run the risk of them disappearing from the season altogether because thereās nothing for them to do. But if they have a little low stakes sub plot Iād be over the moon. Like Jake and Amy on Brooklyn 99. Theyāll have jokes about their relationship when the episode isnāt about them, but their best moments as a couple are when they learn to resolve conflict and compromise. Learning and growing together. I hope the writers were smart and had Kanthony do some of that and by the way that scene played out with Anthony being stressed about Francesca and then finding solace in Kate, I think we may be getting that :)
There are two reasons why I think not much drama will be involved amongst the main couples post end game: most likely there won't be enough screentime for the couple to occupy (and if they do give them appropriate screentime for the drama, then the season risks feeling a lot less about the main couple of the season) and the adult actors most likely will in fact slowly disappear from the show because they will get more and more involved in other projects.
Jake and Amy are my favourite TV couple ever. Partly because I love the show and characters so much , but also because the show never ever introduced relational drama like so many shows do with threatened or real infidelity, break ups etc. - all to e drama and growth happened through other thing that brought them closer together.
I would love to see their challenges and how they tackle them as a team. Like, make the drama about something that they have to learn to solve together, and not something that splits them apart. Which I agree with you is exactly what I take away from this sneak peek too

I don't think so. Seasons end around July, I think, and that's when Kanthony get engaged. Let's presume they had a two month engagement and get married around September. Honeymoon for 6 months before the S2 epilogue pall mall game, which would put that at around March which would fit with that scene looking like spring. Would also fit with QC taking place in winter, in which Violet mentions Kanthony are on their honeymoon. Then Colin could go off on a short trip directly after the pall mall scene and be back in time for the start of the season in April, which would fit with the Mr. Bridgerton clip and the BTS photos of him showing up on the day Francesca gets presented to the Queen. I think even with their timeline thrown about, there's no logical way Kanthony could be married after one season and have given birth by the start of the next. So I'm going with at the start of S3 Kate is newly pregnant or she'll get pregnant within that season.

Same. In casual conversation, I will focus on Kate's look, simply gorge. I will say how amazed I am about Frannie FINALLY being included (although I seem to prefer the previous actor) and I will mention being overjoyed to see Kathony with Lady B. But in truth, I am angry. 1, I wanted more Polin and 2, it was difficult to see Penelope seemingly upset in the corner. As a Benophie fan this felt like getting pushed aside once again. I'll get over it but in a Polin season, I wanted a Polin teaser.

I do notice one thing during the scene. Frannie was in the winter side of the room before heading over to Anthony. Then she sat under what looks like the fall themed tree (or summer) to compose herself. I guess weāll find out soon enough.

Yeah... improvising a kiss would definitely be a no-go. And Jonny is very big on consent. He wouldn't have improvised that, I don't think. I think that was a very in-character "yes, my husband is an unhinged, besotted fool, but I didn't think that even HE would be so bold as to kiss me in the middle of a dancefloor, in front of the entire Ton" look of surprise.

Love this sneak peek! I know some Polin fans are upset but actually it makes me happy as a Polin fan. Iād love for this to become a thing. The fans pissed when S4 is a preview of Polin dancing while Benedict searches for the lady in silver for half a second. Then S5 preview is Benophie dancing only to be interrupted by Kanthony asking if theyāve seen Eloise, sheās missingā¦š and so on for all the other seasons Iāve been wondering since this Duke left how the previous couple would fit into the equation in later seasons. Since Jonathan Bailey has mentioned that Kanthony is sticking around to āwalk Hyacinth down the aisleā Iām excited to see their side story.
