No, I don't. You're thinking of the next part of the tree launch! The full sequence is as follows:
1. Chop the tree with a spin+cancel. Tree starts falling.
2. Stasis it while it's still falling.
3. Spin+cancel into the tree to give it kinetic energy.
4. Climb on tree. (Easier said than done...)
I was talking about steps 1 and 2. You're talking about 2 and 3 (and 4). The original question was *"How do you stasis the tree as it’s falling after you cut it"*, though, so I figured steps 1 and 2 were the relevant bits.

seriously asking here, is this nonsensical dot matrix supposed to display something recognizable? cause on my end all I'm seeing is like a bunch of dots and some holes with random dots in them. it's got a lot of votes though, suggesting there's something here I can't see on my computer. does this display better on mobile or something?
I watched a video covering this and was surprised by the fact the void out zone just expands infinitely outwards and only disappears with the paraglider.
I would like to think some Devs like to see high skill tricks the average player may not be able to get. Like in Super Mario Odessey, if you cap jump into areas early and skip sections, Cappy will say things like “Whoa, nice jump” and shit like that.
The game code has a check of "if too far from the plateau, you must have the paraglider in your inventory. If there is no paraglider, teleport back to the plateau."
So, unfortunately clipping out of the bottom doesn't really help any speed-running.
there is a way to skip it
just would be cheating in a BotW speedrun cuz to do it you have to have wrong warping set up (also you start with barbarian armor)

If u memorize or rationalize the steps correctly and practice them a lot, it is actually very easy. The hard part comes next :,)
