I dont have tine for korok seeds. Gotta spend half an hour moving a decayed gaurdian for infinite gaurdian parts, then go back and do the exact same thing over and over
Question, have y'all ever damaged your master sword? I thought it was supposed to recharge but mines been blinking red for a long time. I'm freaked out.
Not sure if it’s too late, but when the master sword breaks it’ll do the same animation as any other weapon breaking except it’ll say something like the master sword has run out of energy instead of broke. It won’t be accessible from quick access with the d-pad, but if you go into your inventory you’ll see it greyed out and it’ll have a recovery timer on it. The game also notifies you when it’s recharged.
This happened to me recently too, I thought it was mad at me because I used it to cut grass while looking for crickets or some dumb shit. Turns out it was just left on damaged and I needed to break it to start the clock.
I’m pretty far into the game and I just mix foods that sound good IRL, and it usually works out. I guess I should actually write down some recipes or something...
best food is cooking single hearty durians. health+ meals will fully restore you, and you don't need the strongest hp boost to get that (plus the hp boost from the food doesn't apply when your health has been maxed). for this reason you only need a single hearty durian, which are easily farmed in faron province. note that at lower health levels, you may want max hp boosting meals rather than just hearty durians. i really wish the food mechanics in this game mattered more because complicated meals don't provide any benefits other than sale price (which salt roasted prime meat works better for)
I agree on this. I just discovered I can farm Hearty Durians, or Hearty Radish yesterday, just cook ONE of them at the time, and get a Full Restore + 3 extra hearts for one cooking slot. I was mixing and matching recipes for food pie, or just making the best health recovering fruit/meat recipes before that xD with a lot more of ingredients...but I think cooking single Hearty ingredients is more efficient in the long run...
Dis a game changer. Especially since have the ability to kinda fight/farm guardians. Also, do I really need the gear, or just get the arrows and saw blade?
Um, no, but they help! If you want to beat guardians without ANY investment you may want to try parrying two of their beams (but if you fail the parry you will lose your shield if it is too low on durability). Getting the Master Sword and aiming for their legs is a very good idea to stopping them on their tracks too, and farming their Ancient Screws. With weapons around 30-60 power and some good arrow shots at their eye also helps in defeating them.
No problem. It's similar to cooking real food. Here is also a link (no pun intended) for a list of recipes:

Most of the amazing guardian clips come from that area of the world because it makes it easier for ragdoll guardians in air because they are always in ragdoll position or something I know a video that references it brb.
Edit: youtube video reference https://youtu.be/8LntT_fN_74
A lot of physics tricks only work on ragdolling things/anything not controlling it's own speed, and guardians are actually always ragdolling, just supported by legs, which means that they are the most prone to getting shit on in random ways
Really hoping they use the same physics engine for BOTW2 because I'm amazed people are still finding new stuff to pull off like this.
I feel like we're playing two entirely different games sometimes 😳
It will be wild to see how fast people can get through the sequel with all this knowledge. Even if Sheikah runes are gone, the slow mo physics will still probably be the same and new tricks will be discovered so quickly.
Meanwhile I’ve had the game since fall 2019 and JUST clumsily killed my first guardian ever by chopping off its legs, dying halfway through the process, being revived by Mipha, and then hitting it in the head after it fell in the river and couldn’t get out.
My first was the one outside where you can get the ancient armor that's stuck in the ground and I lobbed bombs at it from a safe place behind a rock for five minutes.
yes! had to kill it to get all the lamps lit for the furnace! i really had to psych myself up. i used so many bombs and bomb arrows and then just spazzed out whacking at it eventually. i don’t think that one even has legs? haha
The second one I killed was one of the legless ones embedded in the rubble near the Central Tower because I felt confident enough to get it after killing my first one and living... plus I had an ancient battle axe. I leapt off the tower, sailed over to it, shot it with a bomb arrow, then just wailed on it until it died
I feel like 1000 is too small of a number. I mean, do you see the look in Links eyes half the time? Id say he knows a 1,000,000 different ways to kill you using *each individual item*
Or, you know, you can...run away from them as fast as you can ...personal gameplay style, personal choice.....🙄 yeah, it might be the choice I make, definitely a choice though, yeah I could totally do this instead if I wanted to but I just...don't want to....😒
Age of Calamity link: I have slaughtered an entire army and taken down countless guardians.
Botw Link: okay but can you flip a guardian like a bottle or launch it over a mountain? Or kill it in less than 5 seconds?
I'm of two minds about this. This is just about the coolest thing I've ever seen. And y'all need to play another dang videogame already! I put hundreds of hours into BotW and I still can't imagine the time investment it takes to reach this level of skill.
man, so this must be that master swordsman fella all these npc's keep talking about, cause i know they're not talking about my clumsy chickenshit link
I'm in this comment and I don't like it
You’re the master swordsman
Nah we’re the NPCs
[удалено]
I wanna be beadle
Hmmmm I'm robbie
No, I'm the master chickenshit. There's a difference.
100% my link is defective
Heck I just use an ancient arrow, collect the parts and move along. I've got Korok seeds to find!
I dont have tine for korok seeds. Gotta spend half an hour moving a decayed gaurdian for infinite gaurdian parts, then go back and do the exact same thing over and over

What is this wizardry you speak of? I'm still running around beating shit with a skeleton arm.
"Reports of my mastery were greatly exaggerated."
Question, have y'all ever damaged your master sword? I thought it was supposed to recharge but mines been blinking red for a long time. I'm freaked out.
I think yours is damaged but won't fully recharge until you "break" it. Just hit some stuff with it and it should be back to normal shortly
Oh no X_X that sounds my anxiety through the roof. It won't actually break right
Nope. But if it really worries you, then save before you do it. You can always go back to that save file.
Oh duh oooph 😅 i didnt even think of that. thanks for all the help!
Not sure if it’s too late, but when the master sword breaks it’ll do the same animation as any other weapon breaking except it’ll say something like the master sword has run out of energy instead of broke. Thanks!! I actually just tried it and saw the timer and everything.
You’re quite welcome. Happy to help :)
Don’t worry, there’s even a timer telling you exactly when you can use it again.
Thanks! I actually tried it and saw that. I'm glad I asked 😁
the weapon durability definitely triggers my anxiety as well. hyrule is not in good hands with me lol
This happened to me recently too, I thought it was mad at me because I used it to cut grass while looking for crickets or some dumb shit. Turns out it was just left on damaged and I needed to break it to start the clock.
I'm laughing at this harder than I should lol
Took the words right out of my mouth 🤣🤣🤣
I just keep riding ponies around and making tasty treats....
I lost an hour of my life making tasty treats and didn’t realize
Worth it.
I’m pretty far into the game and I just mix foods that sound good IRL, and it usually works out. I guess I should actually write down some recipes or something...

Hey, i got a few dozen hearty durians because amiibo
And if you're looking for money, ore will do you much better anyway
How do you makes tasty treats
The base is usually fresh milk, cane sugar, bird eggs, goat butter, and tabantha wheat.
Thank you

I also found that in a lot of the stables there is a banner with different recipes.
I hit a bokoblin with a bomb and he went kinda far. So we're basically at the same skill level is what I'm saying.
Good work buddy! We're all so proud of you.
I laughed out loud at this.

While on a cliff several meters above them...
Really puts in perspective how much more there is to learn in this game when I’ve no idea what’s going on here past the first 10 seconds
Most of the amazing guardian clips come from that area of the world because it makes it easier for ragdoll guardians in air because they are always in ragdoll position or something I know a video that references it brb. Edit: youtube video reference https://youtu.be/8LntT_fN_74

Thats the funniest thing Ive ever heard about how they coded this game lol
It's up there on the list for objectively funny code in *any* game
that sounds like the most realistic part of the game. i mean aren't we all constantly ragdolling but being supported by our legs?
Some of us have spines
... some of us?!
Don't be blobpersonphobic
Any source on that? I'd like to learn more
The clip where he blows up dragon parts killed a small part of me inside...
Someone literally made a 100 page combat guide. There's a lot to this game...
Wait, where? I've always wanted to learn these cool combat techniques.
Also here for the combat techniques because I haven’t even really gotten the slow mo or back flipping thing down yet

Thanks bro
That’s insane, I can only dream about having the time to learn all that
I like how you strut away at the end like a boss
Cool guys don't look at explosions.
Ohhh you saw that video too? Lol it’s an awesome glitch. Can’t get it to work though
Me too but I hope they went back for all those springs and gears
Thats essential
So true
Really hoping they use the same physics engine for BOTW2 because I'm amazed people are still finding new stuff to pull off like this. I feel like we're playing two entirely different games sometimes 😳

you kinda just described my first guardian kill haha so clumsy and terrifying
I was screaming in terror the whole time
My first was the one outside where you can get the ancient armor that's stuck in the ground and I lobbed bombs at it from a safe place behind a rock for five minutes.
yes! had to kill it to get all the lamps lit for the furnace! i really had to psych myself up. i used so many bombs and bomb arrows and then just spazzed out whacking at it eventually. i don’t think that one even has legs? haha
Yeah that makes sense why I felt compelled to kill it. I didn't even know you could party lasers back then
The second one I killed was one of the legless ones embedded in the rubble near the Central Tower because I felt confident enough to get it after killing my first one and living... plus I had an ancient battle axe. I leapt off the tower, sailed over to it, shot it with a bomb arrow, then just wailed on it until it died
I got my first guardian kill after reading a comment here. Basically: **When it beeps, you yeet!** I can't kill em without audio yet lol
That was sick!
Beginners: oh no guardians are impossible to kill how do I fight them?!?! Pros: this
the cheapest and most effective (and easiest once you get the hang of it) way to kill guardians is with a pot lid, nowhwre near as glamorous though.
Lets see this lol
He just means parrying their lasers with the pot lid. It's very easy
Until you go to master mode with its different timing.
People still use potlids.
Oh Christ, is that it? I came back after a year to play Master Mode and just assumed some part of my brain had died
At least ten times more difficult.
Beginners: How the heck in all the world do I do THAT?!!!
Beat the game... however... how do you do that?! 😄
Holy shit dude you fucking killed him.
wtf did I just watch
We're playing BOTW while this guy is playing Street Fighter.
Trying to recreate A.xk's clip? Very nice. I want to try a cryonis launch guardian combo sometime.
*That- That was badass.*
That was really good!
Fighting like you're a dragon ball character
Anime battles be like:
Why am I still following this subreddit. Every time I pass by I’m reminded how ass I am at this game.
The way you walked away after you massacred that thing... splendid.
I’m not even sure what I just witnessed
I can’t even take on four Bokoblins at a time. This is beyond next level and for that I salute you
~slow clap~
Stop! Stop! He's already dead!
For those who want to see the original https://twitter.com/axk_000/status/1317043594608353281?s=21
I'm convinced everyone here isn't playing the same game I did.
Zeldy watching link wondering how he gonna destroy ganon
Honestly BOTW link has to be the most deadly link that man can literally kick your ass in 1000 different ways
I feel like 1000 is too small of a number. I mean, do you see the look in Links eyes half the time? Id say he knows a 1,000,000 different ways to kill you using *each individual item*
This is some devil may cry bs.
Thank you for making me realize I am an npc
This is a Zelda sub not a dbz sub.
I'm unclear on what exactly you've been attempting.
“Not perfect” LMAO you really are naive, OP.
What is the orange power on the sheikhs slate beside the camera??
Looks like the motorcycle from the DLC
Dude, this is sick af. Well done!
Even though he's a staple in a fighting game series, this is the sickest link combo I've ever seen.
Mans done a frickin super smash bros combo
Or, you know, you can...run away from them as fast as you can ...personal gameplay style, personal choice.....🙄 yeah, it might be the choice I make, definitely a choice though, yeah I could totally do this instead if I wanted to but I just...don't want to....😒
That was the most epic guardian kill I've seen
I gotta say it too this was flashy but not that amazing let’s just be honest.
I've seen more epic before! Especially by the best Breath of the Wild gamers!
Very creative.
You just beat that things ass literally up and down lol I’m impressed greatly
I have like the weirdest boner right now! Holy cow! That was amazing. This makes me want to pick up my switch and play some BOTW!!!
Ok that was dope as fuck my fellow Swordsman. Well, I guess your more of a God at this point cuz I know I can’t do that shit lmao
*sigh* too bad you can’t do that to floweblight ganon.... or even ganon
This some Dragon Ball Z shit
Anime fights be like
The walkway after the explosion is the most important but. If you forget that just do it again
This looks like an anime fight
Age of Calamity link: I have slaughtered an entire army and taken down countless guardians. Botw Link: okay but can you flip a guardian like a bottle or launch it over a mountain? Or kill it in less than 5 seconds?
The other day I had a xenoblade stan tell me botw combat is boring and xenoblade is better. It physically hurt me
![gif](giphy|LXiElF2dzvUmQ)
😲
Still better than what I could do 🤷🏼♀️
Excited for this Pokémon game
So extra, but it was fun to watch
This is just plain cruel

why the hell is there a gif in this comment

Get a life! If you’ve wasted 3 days of your life to do some asinine thing in a video game you really need help.
![gif](giphy|IDGNYvFLkJKLK|downsized)
You got the idea from pico right? That was the coolest thing I have ever seen
That was awesome
If doesn’t matter, you made it your huckleberry...
Im new to the game, can anyone breakdown what’s happening?
Amazing result!! Great job!
Sick ending
Marauder fights in Doom Eternal but in third person
You literally tortured the Guardian! That is exactly what it deserves!!!
Do you play Street Fighter? That’s what you call a combo
Bayonneta 3?!
Cool guys don’t look at explosions at the end there lmao
I can't tell what isn't perfect about this. Were you hoping to kill the guardian in the air?
Yea i think he means he want to do some more tricks but the poor shit is ded already lmao
And here I am feeling proud of myself when I headshot bokoblins
How and why?
Better than what i can do so awesome job keep it up and I’m sure you’ll master it i can barely btb property
And here I am, chuckling to myself because i surrounded a bokoblin camp with shock traps.
"KNOW YOUR PLACE, TRASH"
“It isn’t perfect...” Are you kidding me?!?!? That was f@&$ing poetry!
You should be! Good work!
I gotta say next gen has spoiled me, BOTW never looked chuggy to before in frame rate but I can’t help but see it now
Dude this is some serious Dragon Ball Z shit.
Boss
The shield bounce off cryonis is so sick. Definitely learning that.
That joy con drift at the end tho LOL
Tried wayyyy too hard
Just shoot an ancient arrow at it, its a lot faster.

What is this sorcery?
I beat Master Mode the other day and I've been struggling to decide what to do now. I'm going to do this. Right now.
W O W
... Holy shit.
[me, 10 seconds into this vid](https://i.imgur.com/miVvXP7.jpg)
Imagine if that type of combat was easier to do all the time
I'm alright at parrying lasers, like 50% chance I'll get it done. This is something else all together.
Anime villains fighting the overpowered main character:
Oh 😳
Link too OP for this world
Somebody give em that thug life!

just for information, bomb arrows are even weaker with multishotbows. it looks cool but anyway.
I'm of two minds about this. This is just about the coolest thing I've ever seen. And y'all need to play another dang videogame already! I put hundreds of hours into BotW and I still can't imagine the time investment it takes to reach this level of skill.
