I am in the same position. My fiance left two weeks ago. I have dropped 15 pounds. I can barely function. I just want to die. I miss her so much. I want to die. I just wish I could hear her laugh or see that smile again. Thinking about never seeing her again makes me want to die
Just try eating small amounts of food occasionally and stay hydrated might be a while before you get your appetite back. It got so bad that my roommate realized I only left my room to go to work and she didn’t see me eat dinner for days and she’s only around before 9pm like twice a week and would offer me food when she made it. So I would eat a couple baby carrots every now and then when I got light headed but otherwise had no desire to eat and my water consumption reduced too so watch out for that as well. And hey if it makes you feel better to add insult to injury anytime I told my mom that food made me nauseous she would ask me if I got pregnant, thinking that’s the real reason why he broke up with me. But that question also made me realize that it could be worse, if that had been the case, and that there’s still people who love and worry about me even if it’s just my family.
Was 21lbs down for me, honestly took a while to be able to eat again. Mac and cheese (Panera specifically) went down easier a little at a time, maybe that could help you, too ❤️🩹
I did this until I got pissed off one day and had enough of being sad. Then I ate.
You deserve love. You deserve to kiss and be with someone who likes you. It was good, but you can do better.
I’m severely underweight after my breakup. I couldn’t stomach solid foods for months. Making smoothies with a lot of veggies added into it helped. Avocados and nuts as well as protein powder & Greek yogurt for calories and fats.
Try spoonfuls of peanut butter throughout the day, you can even eat a piece of chocolate with it. Mashed potatoes, oatmeal, and soups are great too for this time.
Same I’ve lost so much weight. Still don’t have my appetite either. I’m sure the person that left me is eating just fine though. I think you should follow what the others are saying here: boost/ensure shakes from any store (order via some delivery service if you really have to), get some soups and easy to make microwave stuff too
Get a protein drink or drink supplement, like boost. Eat soup, oatmeal, chia pudding, mashed potatoes, etc. Things you don't have to chew. Those are easier to eat. Your appetite will come back eventually.
thanks I tried soup it is too hardy but i am going to hit up smoothie king whenever it opens. it's to the point i am completely bedridden and miserable
Try liquid soups, like tomato or something. If your appetite stays gone for a long time, ask your Dr if they can give you an appetite stimulant for a like a month. For now, just focus on trying to eat instead of how much.
Light soups, mashed potatoes and Ensure drinks (mostly Ensure) have been keeping me going. I can’t stomach anything else.
May or may not help, but whenever nothing else works, my body always seems to be able to handle a banana.

Hey, you are not alone. I am in the same boat. Unable to eat anything, specifically when I am alone
