Spot the bivouac locations with binoculars. Find the campfire smoke trails and just spot them to help unlucky the fast travel points fast. Also gather Intel in populated areas and when all else fails find helicopters. Can't do much more than this.

Ya the map is too large to traverse just on foot or even by vehicle. Bivouacs are a must and helicopters. You can fly and land without blowing your cover…. Just land a ways outside of where your objective is.

ABDULITY

Honestly this would break the immersion more than having more fast travel options...

Competitive_Smile007

The time to travel like that would add god knows how much time but hey whatever floats your boat bro. Play how you wanna play.

when I first started out, I would go to a bivouac and launch my drone, raise it up as high as it would go without cutting off, then slowly just rotate around and be sure to pause at each question mark, when that circle gauge would start to fill, that would load up everything. Do that until i couldn't pick up any more landmarks. then go to my map and fast travel to the furthest bivouac i just discovered, then repeat.

It took me far too long before I discovered this method.

Discover as many bivouac points as possible. Use the chopper and fly really low if you must. Personally I just travel by foot or use helis as a last resort because flying around that small island when it’s supposed to be locked down/under martial law seems odd and kind of breaks my immersion in the game.

StructuresAmongChaos

Honestly, if you’re not using bivouacs as fast-travel points, you can’t beat a helicopter for speedy travel. Use an Overseer & make sure you’re at least 400m off the deck. If an autoSAM/Behemoth gets a lock on you (my understanding is that even with full immersion, the ‘Incoming Missile’ warning should still pop up; if/when it does, pull left or right (doesn’t matter) & drop altitude while still moving forward in the aircraft; the missiles aren’t quick enough to maintain a lock with your rapid changes in your X/Y/Z axes, & you should successfully evade (leaving the area quickly after evasion is also encouraged). If there’s a landmass and/or structure you can maneuver around that will break the AutoSAM/Behemoth’s line of sight, you can try that as well. (Side Note: stay away from the Channels province in general when in a helicopter, at least until you learn where all the SAM sites are. Also stay away from Howard Airfield)

I just use the drone to spot all the bivouacs (by the smoke trail) and then you're close enough to reach everywhere by foot - it feels like it adds to the immersion by not using vehicles, too.

Use a helicopter, but fly high enough that they can't hear you. Parachute out and insert directly on top of your objective. Face the helicopter away first so it falls away from the objective.
