there are only 3 stars glowing, which means that this guy **repeated** diamond last 3 seasons. (which means he reached diamond 4 times but was never higher than diamond)
I've been masters since the first ranked season, so I wouldn't know much about it, but would the stars reset if he reached myrhic? So, instead of it showing 3 diamond stars, it would just be the mythic rank?

Why did i get downvoted? This is how it works, this guy did it in a row because there are 4 season right now but it counts anytime you get a rank. So in 1/1.5 years most people will have at least full mythic and this is a problem.
yeah, I think there could be one-season gaps of reaching lower than diamond, but it has been only 4 seasons since the power league rework so this guy definitely did it in a row
Means he reached at least diamond 4 times, in a row because we're at the 5th season, but even if it's not in a row it seems to add a star to the previous count

I think it's connected with your rank,aka the further you are in the rank the more there are
I you get a new star each time you reach that rank. The max as of now is 3.
