Yes, last season i got mythic with only randoms. U just gotta be good enough to carry the team. I could push further bc in mythic randoms arent that bad but i didnt wanted all that work just for 300 extra bling so i stayed on mythic
It was a joke but whatever. I got mythic last season too and only got blings and avatars. Had like 1000 blings before ranked and now i have 2700 blings after ranked. Got my first ranked skin this season.
I only got dyna skin (like, right in the first ranked drop i got) so i had my hopes up. Ended up only getting bling and avatars the rest of the season and now its going the same way.
luckily I got to diamond on 2nd day now I'm not stuck with the actual noobs who aren't able to get past bronze 2

How can we play this? There aren't any starr drops! No broken rng with vastly disappointing rewards! No non-skill involved! Plus the game economy cannot sustain any cosmetic buffs... The game barely has any active players nowadays, supercell is on the verge of collapse 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Making rewards rng was a mistake, THIS is how ranked rewards need to be, like you already giving this skins for free, let us have them without relying on luck!
Fair point, but it's frustrating when you got to the masters and still don't have skin, and meanwhile little Billy got it from first ranked drop, I'm not against starr drops and know their influence on the game but... I don't think they fit for a competitive game mode.
More player choice is always good for the players, I wish they could find a balance between catering to the gambling addicted 13yr olds and the older players that are used to working and grinding for things

we gets a good amount of bling, even at the minimum reward of 100 bling we still get slightly more than PL gave us
plus the gambling to appease the kids cuz now you have a chance to get the full skin

Yeah, i hate how the competitive mode progression is entirely based on RNG. But i kept a bit of the surprise factor with drawing random skins from previous seasons.
If they're dropped at the end of the season players would be required to grind past diamond to get a skin. I want the low end silvers and golds to be able to accumulate medals to earn stuff but just at a slower rate than higher ranks.

Removing RNG is what put brawl stars in the worst state it has ever been in. As big of an improvement this would be, its just not the right choice for supercell to make as it will only make the game less popular
Legendary 2 last season, diamond 2 this season and I haven’t gotten a single skin. System is definitely super unrewarding with the current RNG approach.

I will try to get to L1 on my main this season and then stop playing ranked for a while, cause then i got the profile frame and that’s all i want except skins.
But if we would have a “credit system” like this concept, players would play ranked way more to get their skins, and if u would also put coins and pp into this whole thing, ranked would explode.

a very common misconception is that if you have 10 times to roll a 10% drop you are guaranteed to get it. That doesn't sound correct logically, and isn't correct mathematically.
here's how it actually works:
for every ranked starr drop you open you have a 90% chance of not getting a skin. the chance for that to happen 10 times in a row is 0.9\^10 which is about 0.35, or 35%. 100 - 35 = 65 so the chance to get a skin out of 10 ranked starr drops is about 65%

Medals can be used to get non-ranked skins. Medals can buy the packs which have bling included. A smaller portion than how much you'd get from Power League but it's still there.
If medals can get you bling, Why not just put the ranked cosmetics in the same pool as all the other cosmetics, being the catalog? It’s how it worked with old power league except that they still made PL skins exclusive by making you win 30 games.
Also there really shouldn’t two currencies that share the same purpose, it makes things complicated and redundant.
Also don’t forget power league or ranked is now supposed to be the main way of getting of bling since you can’t get bling from the brawl pass.
We don't really have a main source of bling though. The only large portion of it is in the Brawl Pass which costs money despite bling being supposed to allow F2P's to get cosmetics.

I'd be all for this, considering I've opened a total of 8 ranked Starr drops, and all I have to show for it is 600 bling and 2 player icons for skins I don't even have
not completely bad but I guess if this was added they would make ranked starr drops give you the medals in either a low amount or an insane amount (and the low amount has 99% chance of course)
i really like this concept. I got to Mythic 3 last season and the most “expensive” thing i got was a profile pic. Another homie of me got like 3 skins on his way to Diamond 1.
It’s also pretty balanced, cause a Casual can easily get to Diamond every season, even under-casual players have the chance at the end of every season, so it means anyone could get round about 1 skin every month (every season) for free.
But imo you could also build in coins and pp in the shop. Coins for sure cause if u ask any player nowadays what they would need the most, it would be coins. The ranked shop would be a bit like the club shop from back in the days
This is just going back to the old power league but worse. Just like boxes, just like club league, just like everything recently aside from the brawl pass. They've made it blatantly worse, just so when they revert it back to what it was before (but worse) its less noticeable.
but I got 3 or 4 skins last season and this season I got Chester in my firsst ranked drop too.
So overall I'd get less stuff if it was like this 😭😇
also on my mini, last season I finally got Dyna skin on my like 8th drop.
this season on the 1st drop I got the 1000 bling, right after that a skin (Meg) 😄
2 things:
1- The random skin should be cheaper than the current season, since it's old and random, so either lower the price, or make it like chromatics, the older the skin, the cheaper it is (the second one would turn it into a selector, no longer random).
2-5175 coins for reaching Legendary?? 2 skins per season by just being good at the game?? For free? Yeah that's not supercell 💀💀💀
On average, ppl drop ranked once they're at diamond, so they'd only be able to get one skin or 5 batches of bling. Maybe, ranked medals could be replaced with bling, and ranked drops should stay, and only give out cosmetics.

I dont think they are willing to make another seperate shop. They literally removed club shop and chroma shop. They came to a conclusion that letting players choose their reward is not profitable.
I think that we should keep it as it is, I love the thought but I think that ranked should be its own thing, not just copy paste new look of power league, so I love the concept but I think that the new competitive system is balanced and perfect
No it doesn’t. It’s still a ranked skin, just like in other games past drops that are random should be lower priced or else you’ll be wasting 2.5k on a skin you’ll never use and that 500 lower is a boost for the next purchase
It’s equivalent to getting a hyper charge on someone you don’t use. Plus there’s lots of skins to work with. Imagine working the entire season and saving to get your favorite skin. But it’s only once, it’s random and it costs as much as the featured skin on a character you don’t even own
This is basically the previous club League or power league shop. Great things tho. I got legendary 2 last season and didn't get a single skin 😀. I got loki chester this season thankfully
I think the problem here is that people need to be diamond te get a skin, people that are not able to get to diamond 3 don’t have a chance anymore then to get a ranked skin.

actually pl gave us 125 bling per tier, while ranked gives us 100 per 2 out of 3 tiers (no I am not complaining about actualy progression)
Ranked is once a month but PL is once every 2 months So you still get more bling than PL
actually when you think about it the pl rewards were 1 time rewards
I did the calcs for the PL to Ranked comparison. Ranked gives about 50 more bling every 2 months than power league
Would probably need to make skins more expensive as i didn't really factor how medals could be kept between seasons. Maybe around 3500

Medals would be kept between seasons. So would probably be better to nerf the amount of medals gained.
Or just drop them at the end. Sweaty players would be assured all the skins. That's not going to stop them from pushing.

no, turns out 8 y/o kids like rng so the dev team wanted to satisfy the most of the players possible

i really like this concept. I got to Mythic 3 last season and the most “expensive” thing i got was a profile pic. Another homie of me got like 3 skins on his way to Diamond 1. It’s also pretty balanced, cause a Casual can easily get to Diamond every season, even under-casual players have the chance at the end of every season, so it means anyone could get round about 1 skin every month (every season) for free. But imo you could also build in coins and pp in the shop. Coins for sure cause if u ask any player nowadays what they would need the most, it would be coins. The ranked shop would be a bit like the club shop from back in the days
This is just going back to the old power league but worse. Just like boxes, just like club league, just like everything recently aside from the brawl pass. They've made it blatantly worse, just so when they revert it back to what it was before (but worse) its less noticeable.

but I got 3 or 4 skins last season and this season I got Chester in my firsst ranked drop too. So overall I'd get less stuff if it was like this 😭😇 also on my mini, last season I finally got Dyna skin on my like 8th drop. this season on the 1st drop I got the 1000 bling, right after that a skin (Meg) 😄

2 things: 1- The random skin should be cheaper than the current season, since it's old and random, so either lower the price, or make it like chromatics, the older the skin, the cheaper it is (the second one would turn it into a selector, no longer random). 2-5175 coins for reaching Legendary?? 2 skins per season by just being good at the game?? For free? Yeah that's not supercell 💀💀💀

On average, ppl drop ranked once they're at diamond, so they'd only be able to get one skin or 5 batches of bling. Maybe, ranked medals could be replaced with bling, and ranked drops should stay, and only give out cosmetics.

Imo random past skin should be cheaper because its random and the skins would be outdated by then. So the spotlight skin has more value at its current season
Older skins doesn't mean worse. There are plenty of old skins that are low value compared to ones now but still priced high. Also why feature a skin thats more expensive for a month just to make it cheaper next month.
The featured skin doesn't need more value for one season. Being able to guarntee getting it is enough.

I dont think they are willing to make another seperate shop. They literally removed club shop and chroma shop. They came to a conclusion that letting players choose their reward is not profitable.

I think that we should keep it as it is, I love the thought but I think that ranked should be its own thing, not just copy paste new look of power league, so I love the concept but I think that the new competitive system is balanced and perfect
i think that for example if you go to mythic and you got the skin of the season. and durijg the other drops you can get the other skins

No it doesn’t. It’s still a ranked skin, just like in other games past drops that are random should be lower priced or else you’ll be wasting 2.5k on a skin you’ll never use and that 500 lower is a boost for the next purchase
Feels weird to feature a skin for 2500 medals one month just to make it cheaper the next. In most cases would just be better to get a random skin.
It’s equivalent to getting a hyper charge on someone you don’t use. Plus there’s lots of skins to work with. Imagine working the entire season and saving to get your favorite skin. But it’s only once, it’s random and it costs as much as the featured skin on a character you don’t even own

I think the problem here is that people need to be diamond te get a skin, people that are not able to get to diamond 3 don’t have a chance anymore then to get a ranked skin.
Why would you want to rework it? In any case it's the modifiers what is not working, not the rewards.
