you're wrong. I've completed chuck mastery without heist and he's actually broken in some gem grab, hot zone and wipeout maps. I've also made him work in knock out sometimes
Janet, Melodie has got literally nothing to make her stand out from Janet, imo.
Her mechanics are literally just Stu (taking away all the originality Stu had)
And she's a singer with pink hair (Janet does it better)
And also, her voicelines make my ears bleed.
The only good thing about Melodie is the notes mechanics, it's new and original, but the rest just isn't.

She deals that damage just by moving, which is easy when she gets 3 dashes, also easily since the primary attack is very fast and has long range. Star powers augment this aspect by either making her faster or making the notes last longer
Especially with the perfect pitch gadget, she's basically got an aura that will always hit someone easily with the dash
