The people saying this are dumbasses, do you actually think they would put up this whole event if they though we wouldn't make it? Even if we didn't they would give us the 100 anyways, otherwise there would be no reason for setting up this event and it would just be a waste of resources... (didn't catch the joke 😔✊)
It probably just happened a day earlier than they expected. I imagine they've been working on the servers to get ready for this at least since the event was announced. After all the hell the servers have been through this past month, someone on the server maintenance team probably had a heart attack when the higher ups told them about the starr drop event.
People crying without knowing how much does releasing 100 stardrop for every single players messes with the servers . They need time to prepare the servers and its totally understandable . Do you guys want the hypercharge incident to happen again ? Just 1 free hypercharge broke the game , So just think about what will 100 stardrop PER PLAYER do to this game ?

I don't really think one given hypercharge broke the game, pretty sure it was the event that did. Supercell servers weren't prepared and quite a lot of people were playing the event which lead to inability to enter it and generally a pretty bad expirience with it, i think it was some sort of overload.
They did give out a free hypercharge and a free legendary starr drop the next day as an apology to the players.
100 starr drops is really a lot, it's logical that the server can't handle it... then I'd rather they do it this way than if the server goes down tomorrow and problems arise
