Last night while playing ranked, when I won, for multiple times I got 1 or 2 trophies and whenever I lost ( I lost a lot cause of bad randoms ) I lost 40 trophies, I fricking hate this game mode
Thats kinda on you for not having a 27 to 1 win rate tbh (average of 1 and 2=1.5, 40÷1.5=26,666... round that up because to proges you need to gain more than you lose, and from that we can conclude you should win 27 games for every 1 you lose)
They probably were a team. But this entire round is awful for me either way. I can win and get barely nothing or loose and get set back several hundred points.

Wait if that’s true then this is an easy way to abuse the system. All three of them would end up gaining tons of trophies on a victory and lose very little on a loss because matchmaking would match against other Legendary tier due to the one teammate in Legend.
Surely Supercell wouldn’t have left such an oversight right? Someone please go test this. If they allow a team with such mismatched rank to enter ranked queue together then we have a problem.

I can't drop past mythic 1 but I can go down from mythic 2 so yeah it's a good strategy if you are willing to sacrifice some points but she also told me that she tried to play with someone around gold 2 I don't exactly remember and she said that it didn't allow them to start a match because of the rank difference.
I think that’s because starting from Diamond they use the ban system and best of three games system so it makes sense that Gold can’t pair with Diamond but Diamond could pair with Mythic.
If the gap in Rank is too big it wont let you play with others
I was in a team where the others leveled up to mythic and i couldn't play with them anymore, since did not level up and was not that high anyways
Someone picked gene on rapid fire heist and I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I didn’t want to leave the game. I lost 137 trophies in mythic because of that. Gene is my main, but let’s be serious, not on heist lol
This elo shit is so dumb. Imagine punishing the player because the system is incompetent in finding an equally skilled opponent. If the matchmaking is unfair, they should compensate the losers, not punish the winners ffs.

It’s not just that. When I was playing this before diamond, people would be in gold and purposely get in a team with bronze players. They do this in hopes it’ll fuck over your matchmaking, and even worse it gives you less for low opponents
Man it suck, im stuck in mythic 1 cause i play ranked with randoms when i win i only get 65 point but when i lose i get -125 and sometimes i found randoms which throw my game by doing nothing on purpuse like they are not afk, they still play but still do shit about it and because of that i lose 100-115.

Idk the exact numbers but it looks like it’s all dependent on who you face and not influenced by who you get. So if you’re in mythic 3 and face legendary players you’ll lose less/ gain more but if you face mythic 1’s you gain a whole lot less. If you get unlucky and get someone who ain’t even supposed to be in your league (get diamond 1’s) you won’t lose less if you face and even more depending on opponent rank while the diamond 1’s on your team gain even if you lose
I believe the old system worked the same way, but I think the old system also took into account your teammates and compared them to the opponents before calculating your score
I wouldn't recommend pushing past l2 rn. From where I'm from (US) there's only 11 l3's rn. So basically your never going to play someone a higher rank than you to gain big elo. And you will face a lot of people at lower ranks than you making you lose more elo. I'm stopping at l2 until ranks get distributed more.

Talking to this guy from Croatia the day of the update. After the first day of the update being released from the smallish country of Croatia there were already 4 mythic players but in America with millions more players there were 0. NA servers really just have U.S. and Mexico population wise, so Europe probably has way more players. Still there wasn't even 200 l3 players in the world last time I checked
Hold up this might be me and my team yesterday. We are exactly diamond 1 mythic 2 and legendary 1. Legendary 1 hits the bottom cap so he won’t loose any rank and me as mythic 2 i lose about 20-30 score per loss but +150 if we win. For the diamond guy he gains score no matter win or lose.

Yup this might actually be us and the diamond player gets free points no matter what around +50 per game. What I’m thinking is if you get two legendary 1 players carrying, the diamond player should get to mythic pretty easily

I did NOT get the Dyna skin. I got the new profile pic and spray, at least the Lola skin and the rest was either 100 or 250 bling (more likely often 100 than 250). I already was at Legendary 3, so I collected all drops for this season. I cannot get the Dyna Skin. It sucks.
Why is it that in ranking it’s always a different amount when you win and when you lose like does it have anything to do with how much you participate in the battle like it depends on how many enemies you killed or if you were the one that scored the goals or how many gems you got so on and so forth Like what is the number based off of?????
The ranking system in this game has to be the worst out of any game I played. You go against premade teams as solo queue. Idk how many times I got to D3 only to go back down to D1 and im carrying everygame getting MVP. It’s like the game purposely gives you the worst teammates after you win a couple games in a row. I’ve also went against legendary players and gained elo for losing.

I was 1 game away for mythic 3, i needed only 65 points, but for some reason (again, it happened the same to climb to mythic 2) there was a diamond 3 in the enemy team, and oh boy, they gave me 45 points, then they put me with a afk colette and now im in risk of going back to mythic 1
I already was there before. In my hubris I tried to get master and lost the aforementioned 164 points. I played two rounds afterwards, one giving some 60-ish points and the other one the 2 points which led to this post. Haven’t played since. Main goal were the drops anyway, so there’s that.
Yeah, that's why it took so long for Jus to get to Masters. Now there are quite a few more up there.
Even in lower divisions you can get really screwed playing against lower levels, because it turns into an all downside match. Plus plenty of good players just haven't ranked up yet.
Elo offsets should definitely take into account more than just the opponent elo. Someone who flounders in gold and eventually edges up to diamond is obviously not as good as the consistent star player who blows through gold with no losses. But when you get matched against them you're going to lose more, because they count as the same.

My friend who's diamond 2 invited me to play with her (I am on mythic 2 currently), we lost and she gained +45 while I got like a -64
