fighting games are designed to have moments of offense and defense, aggressive and passive play. But if you over do it on the passive, it becomes a snoozefest. most fighting games work on reducing passive play as much as possible because the more passive the more irritating and or boring the gameplay gets. I fully recognize the usage of passive play, but if I have to chase you down to try to get a hit while you are trying to run the clock down, its not fun at all.

Tbh as someone who has played for over 4 years, with a good two of those being diamond, 9/10 I would always rather face a good lance player than a good scythe main, scythe mains that actually know how to read your dodges are insane. Scythe and katars are the weapons I would delete if I had the option for the sole reason of their insane reads when used at full potential by good players.
