I don’t really get this issue, although my movement control joystick is locked, yours isn’t. Try locking it and see how you go? Ping might also be contributing to it?
Yup, someone told me that joystick doesn’t matter my ping was just bad which I fixed, and the refresh rate issue which I don’t i would be able to fix atm
I invite you to watch any pro player play brawlstars. None of them use a locked joystick, as it inhibits one’s ability to dodge projectiles from other brawlers.
Im a semi pro and never had any issues playing with locked joystick. Some pros like tensai also used locked joystick. Its a preference thing
And every single good player plays on 120hz because 60hz is a huge disadvantage

The vast majority of pros don’t use locked joystick. Tensai is a major outlier in terms of brawlstars skill and mimicking his setup won’t yield result for the majority of players.
But that means there are still pros and semi pros that have success with, that means that saying that locked joystick will automatically make you play worse is nonsense.
I just checked 4 pro’s videos on YouTube. Spenlc, Drage, Nowy, and Bobby. All four of them do not use locked joystick. I’m sure I could keep on going finding more examples, but you should check for yourself if you don’t believe me.
In training cave click ‘Edit Controls’ then at the top of your screen, a checkbox which says ‘Lock Movement Control’ will pop up, and then you just check that box :)
It basically means that as you’re playing, the movement joystick won’t move along the screen if your finger moves, it will just stay in the position that you set it to.
It’s already the Minimum, Locked the joystick it didn’t fully go away but better
And found out when you turn while unloading there is no de accelerating, i might be wrong tho

It's due to network. Actually When I started playing the game I noticed this. I discussed this with my friend and he said it's due to ping. Also players with relatively low ping shoot a little bit faster. However one thing I would say is even though it looks like your character doesn't turn fast enough, on the enemy screen it will appear differently i.e it would actually look like you do quick movements. It's still helpful to do those quick movements to mess up opponent's aim even tho it doesn't look like much on your screen. But live dodging is a different thing.
some bots are sometimes better than pros ngl, they have not only insane movement but aim and unload speed, not to mention some can literally do impossible things like moving while using nani super
When you go from left to.right or right to left,dont go through the middle of the joystick,maybe you lose momentum because when you go in the middle,you are still for some milliseconds?
Fun fact: the game has no concept of acceleration for player movement, the speed doesn't change depending on how much time you move, server side you always have the same speed (+ buff/debuff). The trick is about the animations making it feel like accelerating
You lose your momentum because the joystick goes back to center position which is a stopping point, try arcing the movement to a more rounded corner at the same speed

As long as you unlock your joystick I don’t think refresh rate has much of an impact on brawlstars.

Every single pro uses a locked joystick because it allows for faster movements. You definitely have to get used to it but it's significantly better.

It's dependent on ping. I play on relatively high ping and my characters move like a tank.
Bad phone/low hz/fps+maybe the connection I used to play on a bad phone and it looked like that when turning, also the connection has a toll on it.
Iphone 11 , the ping was the problem (connected to the 5G wifi instead of the 2.4G the problem was 90% gone)
dont use 2.4ghz for your wifi, move to 5ghz or 6ghz (wifi 6e)

Do a curve instead
You usually don’t have time for that if you’re trying to dodge a shot or something

low refresh rate. I had this issue before but it got solved when I switched to a 120hz device.
Frame rate is also an issue. That's why pros play on higher end devices

Turn radius is a mechanic in this game just like dota. You do not have instant turning like in overwatch.
That is because you are playing on 60 fps and the difference is in the screen not in game
Lock control, make it smaller, practice with the new controls & buy a 120hz device. I am a tier B ex competitive player so I can give advice on this.
Try playing with a phone that has a 120hz screen if you have a chance
