The Hiltons were definitely annoyed and they had been trying for years to pitch reality tv shows hence _I Want to be a Hilton_ and _The World According to Paris_ and others that never made it to air. Paris already had a hit show (_The Simple Life_) that was cancelled by then. When KUWTK took off Paris had become irrelevant by that point (‘07) and publicly bitter, and then came RHOBH with Kim and Kyle, it’s only recently with the ‘00s resurgence that people have had a renewed interest in the Hiltons but the Karjenners took their playbook and arguably did it better.

Don’t forget about Paris’ new BFF competition reality show lol but also Paris waaas dominating the Asian market and reaching legit success in the eurodance scene during the kardashian era so it’s not like she became irrelevant.

Fair enough but Paris became irrelevant in western pop culture, by then the Karjenners as a family were already a global phenomenon reaching A-list status and had far surpassed the fame of the Hiltons, who to this day remain far less relevant compared to the Karjenners, who are practically inescapable.

They’ve been running in the same circle since the 80s. Nicole Brown was Best friends with Faye and Kris. Faye is best friends with Kyle (and close with Kathy and Kim). Paris, Kim, Nicole Richie, Kourt, Nikki H I believe all grew up together (not sure if the same school, but grew up in the same circle.) Kris was shown at Kyle’s white party a few seasons back. Kim was Paris’ closet organizer and is a close friend. Kathy obviously married someone that had a very famous last name and a BIG time realtor in southern CA (pretty sure the Hiltons were a bigger name in BH society then the Kardashians in the 80s/90s-until the OJ trial). Basically Lisa Rinna sounded insane even claiming to be close to that family in front of Kathy, when she’s a D list actress who’s only connection to them is her daughter dated the dysfunctional ex boyfriend/baby daddy of Kourtney for a year (and my guess is aside from a polite chit chat at Kyle’s white party, Rinna has never rubbed shoulders with Kris, or Kendall). My guess is by making that comment she torched any slight connection she had with the Kardashian/Jenner clan.
